+1 to wanting to know this. I totally forgot to install the Vanguard pre-order stuff too, but I guess it's only lvl 5 stuff.

Most Day 1 reviews I've seen echo the same sentiment:

1. The game world doesn't feel epic in scale. 12-player zone caps are too small. Lots of empty zones. Public Events are not pulling in as many people as they showed off in the E3 2013 previews.

2. Heavily recycled gameplay in small zones. Lots of criss-crossing and backtracking for almost all Explorable World Beacon Missions.

3. Serious lack of diversity in the 3 Guardian classes; only very minimal differences in abilities and some "super powers" are much more powerful in PvP than others.

4. On a positive note, the PvP is a lot of fun; although Warlocks and Titans seem to have an unbalanced advantage over Hunters in PvP. The Golden Gun helps, but the cooldown forces Hunters to do lots of running and hiding. Hopefully this gets more balanced with patches.

5. The launch-day servers were fine and no widespread reports of outages.

I believe the PS exclusive stuff mostly comes from the Dust Palace strike. The Vanguard stuff autolevels up to level 10 as well.
 
So far it seems like all the helmets are really identical. Would be cool to have some helmets that showed parts of the face or was just different
 
I wish you could view a map in-game via your handy Ghost just so you easily get your barings. Even if it is as basic as the one you see at the menu.
 
Another thing I noticed, when a random public event happened on Mars. I was playing with one of my friends and I noticed no other player was showing up on the map besides him and I. Until the public event happened then there was about 12 of us.

Soon as it finished everyone seemed to fade out again. I'm guessing people are around you all the time but never show up. Only the random 3 or 4 people sometimes. Sorta odd and weird thing for an socially connected game.

My guardian so far.

I find myself definitely wishing there was a transmog system or the like. I really prefer the simplified armor designs over the fancy stuff.

Im from The Netherlands myself. Its only matching me with people from my region. Go into your world or tower and youll see they are all from the same country.

Its probably not just my game.

Yeah its region based but wtf man dont want to play with only dutch people.

You can form a fireteam with someone who you simply encounter in the field.

In the Options member, go to Roster and you'll see people who are in the world with you on the right. You can then invite them. (Do not need to add them to friends)
 
Do you guys think this is a game that will get better with updates/addons/DLC in the future? Helping to justify the purchase?
Reason why I ask is my wife bought it for me but I'm debating if I should open it or return it.
 
to all the level 20+ people, is it the PVP thats leveling you up so fast?

How many hours have you put in ?

and are you feeling any burnout?

I hope so - with majority being free. If Diablo 3 became an amazing game, I want the same for Destiny.
 
What should i be spending my currency on?

Are we just supposed to blow it on ships? Weapon upgrades are a minor cost.
What am i hoarding for?

Yeah I didn't get it either. Also I didn't get the shaders from entering the codes on Bungie site, maybe those come at level 20.

Do you get the stuff from beating the strike or just accessing it?

Also shit I should probably download it then, I'm level 12 and some of my gear is poop

Yeah, I had the same question earlier. I've just been using glimmer to purchase weapons and armor, hoping I get something better than I'm using currently.
 
Still don't have my ghost casing pre-order bonus from the digital guardian edition (ps4) show up in my inventory.
Is this a bug?

Yes. I think Bungie will continue to roll out patches and respond to user feedback. This will go for weapon balance, strike and raid difficulty, and so forth. I think they will also roll out major gameplay updates besides expansions that add things such as proximity chat.

To get the shaders you have to go to your redeemed codes, then activate the shaders/emblems. It's a weird step but that's what I did to unlock them.
 
So after staying up 'til 4 AM playing the game on launch day and calling in sick yesterday to play for the majority of the day, I have a pretty solid grasp on the "pre-cap" stuff you do in the game.

So far I'm absolutely loving the game, but I can very easily see why some people might find it boring. I'm playing with 2 friends pretty much exclusively. If I'm not in a party with them, I'm just doing PVP until they log on. The game is incredibly fun co-op. Like, wow. We're having a blast doing all of the story missions on Hard.

I don't know if this is Destiny specific, but the positional tracking on your Fireteams voice chat along with the radio chatter-esque nature when they're not near you is incredible. It's one of those small things that really adds to the (and I hate this word) immersion of the game.

The game itself very much reminds me of Phantasy Star Online with it's structuring and I'm surprised more people aren't calling it Phantasy Star Halo or anything.
 
At what level are everyone decrypting their green engrams? I am almost 12 and have about 8 green engrams in my vault. Should I wait until 20?

Here's to hoping they utilize the ps4 touch pad for menu selecting. Having to use the stick to run from one corner of the screen to the other to click "launch" and destinations is kind of annoying after a while.

Hey guys quick question my vanguard armor still won't load even after restoring on psn so if I delete the entire game would I have to pay again to re download it would I lose my progress ???
