got to level 21+ last night and beat the story, pretty bad story imo
For the vanilla story yeah, but it's pretty obvious it's not over and we will be getting more in the expansions.

Also I wonder how big the "comet" expansion is going to be since that was on the Activision court docs or if they are just splitting those into the smaller DLC.

Just found a chest on the moon that gave me a warlock bond called "trained chaos" it's a blue/rare item too. Says something about "controlling space and time. Mere matter and energy will follow". Anyone know if it actually does anything?

Like all class items, it doesn't do anything.

Do you actually have to aim down the sights all the time to hit anything? I'd love to just hip fire but ADS is all I see people doing on streams when they're a couple of metres from an enemy.

Yeah, the melee doesn't change either. Surprised me.

Yes that too, little things but still surprising and irritating.

You know what this game needs?

Hardcore mode. Perma-death with character wipe. Would love that kind of challenge. Constantly on your toes. Heart in your throat when you get nailed in the face with an Ogre beam.

Do not want.

lol.

I have a couple of questions regarding male and female guardians and races. Do all male races have the same running animation while on the Tower?

Also, in terms of body armor/clothes, do they look the same on both male and female, or is the cut slightly different depending on the gender (for example Dark Souls)?

As much as I want to like this, I just can't get into it... kinda bored my already:

- Missions are pretty much the same
- Getting back to the same area over and over to kill a diferent bunch of mobs.. he not fun
- Combat is kind of the same
- Loot is not that varied nor that interesting to play with, little stats.. not meaningful
- Lore is nonsensical
- Self serious tone is dorky and annoying
- Lack of matchmaking for key activities is WTF?

For a game that is supose to be like the biggest game ever and stuff, it feels very contrived, almost small... monotonous and flat. It may be my personal bias as I usually don't like loot driven games with shooters (contradictory design), Yet this being Bungie I was expecting more I guess.

Glad most of you guys are enjoying, I wish I was.

I really agree with all of this. It's only saving grace is that it's fun to shoot shit with friends. There are some serious design flaws in this game.

P. sure you have to set your Fireteam to public.
You can invite people to your fireteam without this being the case. Go to the roster screen from the options menu and people in the world with you will be on the right.
They changed the name of the explore missions to patrol right? Confused the shit out of me last night,
Yeah. You can still explore at will but if you take out your ghost it seems like it leads you on a simple route that is likely to take you by beacon quests and so forth.

Right, but if you set it to public, anyone can join, right?

Imma try some totally random matchmaking tonight for story. Everyone in my Friends List is either too high lev or already doing something else.

For some reason I can't get the bonus content code that was in my PS4 version accepted. Know I'm typing it in right. Anyone else have an issue?

right, I haven't done this myself, but I assume if you set your fireteam public, someone can go to the roster screen and join yours and it won't even prompt you, it'll just let them in.
I keep hearing this, I guess I will have to try it out. (Not a fan of the 6 shooter myself in general - but I'll give it chance, I might like it, I can always go back if it just doesn't gel with me.)
My current hand cannon only holds 4 shots and it's still worthwhile to use. they're that good.

I hate how you're so discouraged from exploring. Ninety-nine times out of a hundred, if you're not strictly following the waypoint on your motion tracker, you're making a mistake. Either you'll be led into a dead-end/invisible wall, or you'll be entering an area meant for some other mission/strike, since everything takes place in the same areas.

What's the point of having an open world design when your hand is held the entire time?

Haven't run into this problem yet. I got lost on Old Earth lol.

So, if you use the handcannon in PVP, since weapon damage is scaled down, is it best to just use the one with the largest magazine?

May as well, unless you have some awesome perks on other handcannons.

Almost level 21. The XP from Crucible is insane, I outleveled the story content.
I didn't think about this, for some reason assume it wouldn't give any but I only played a single control match (we got slaughtered, but I didn't suck on our team so that's a start!). I might use this to fill out the levels on the story content. ^_^

Haven't attempted the strike yet, has it changed much since beta?

I'm starting on the first chapter of that Destiny fan fiction thing I said I would write.

I'm only curious to see how many would actually read it.

Idk if this has been answered in here, but did Bungie say that new raids will be added for free after launch? I know of the expansions and stuff, but I haven't seen anything on free content post launch.

Doesn't work like that. There's no damage:mag ratio. Generally two headshots with the hand cannon at effective range can kill. 3 will kill anywhere usually.
