I think for Dark Pit, they'll just update Palutena's with some Dark Pit footage at the end, when he's officially revealed. The ending of her trailer is perfect to just transition into gameplay with a splash screen before it about Dark Pit flying in or whatever.

He is referring to reveals. We don't even know if there will be anymore reveal trailers! After all, every starting character has been seen in a trailer thus far, and we have seen three hidden characters (Game & Watch, Lucina, and Dark Pit).

Talking about odd, isn't it odd that the hidden character # dropped for the first time ever? Went from 4 to 11 to about 14 to 12. If we had five more, it would match the growth of the hidden characters that Brawl had from Melee.

Dark Pit already had a video, and I can't imagine those clone characters would get them either. Duck Hunt, Bowser Jr, and Chorus Kids.

I think it works the other way around, they determined the roster first, and then made videos based on that.

I don't think so, I think it was just luck that Dark Pit and Lucina were in the trailers, probably because they were alts. Cut out Lucina's splash screen and gameplay and Robin's trailer still makes total sense. Same for Dark Pit. They were both probably meant to tease alt costumes and when they wanted to upgrade them to characters, it was just good fortune they were already in trailers. No such good luck for Alph, who wouldn't even have a character trailer he could even appear it without it being kind of strange.

I don't get where the idea that there would be a newcomer without a video would come from. Even if the newcomer is unlockable, I'm pretty sure they're going to have a video that will just play when you unlock them.
