I'm glad you appreciate how much they mean to fans like me. I -adore- the Koopalings. They're my favorite Mario characters after Bowser himself! :-D

I will say though, although there's two characters I wanted that didn't make it (Issac & Paper Mario) I have to admit that this roster is fucking AWESOME.

49 characters is a dream. The game is packed to the brim, and the amount of variety is mind boggling. A few clones don't hurt this roster at all.

Sakurai even made me like Duck Hunt Dog. We're living in great times, GAF.

I really have to agree; the roster here is insane XD! I mean we got THREE third party characters and one of them we never thought would even happen; we got Mega Man ! Pac-Man looks awesome to play as and I love that Sonic is back in the fight .

The first party characters are a lot better then in brawl. This time, we got a lot of very recent Nintendo IP in Smash; Animal Crossing (yet, this appeared in both Melee and Brawl but didn't explode as much when the DS and 3DS games came out), Kid Icrisus, Wii Fit, Xenoblade (who would have thought that would happen; a character from a game that almost never came to America, land in Smash Brothers :')), and Next-Levels rebooted Punch Out .

Not to mention we got two new Mario characters that look to play very different from the rest of the cast (Rosenla and Bowser Jr./Koopa Kids)! Can't believe even the Duck Hunt Dog/Bird is a fighter XD.

This roster is awesome and despite it having clones (Dr. Mario, Lucena, Dark Pit), the roster as a whole is damn good .
