Options to keep your waypoint marker on the screen at all times (per Jeff from Giantbomb).

Music/SFX/chat volume options.

Options to turn your character in the creation screen.

Options to turn on or off proximity chat.

Options for matchmaking.

An option to read Grimoire Cards ingame.

More loot!!!

I mean honestly. You can pretend I dont love the game but I do. There are just a fuckton of things that are easily fixed and would improve upon the game so much.

So agree. Love this game tho

So far I'm enjoying myself, but I'm getting a real Mass-Effect-1 vibe to all of this. Cool universe and art design, lots of potential, but clunky mechanics.

I feel bad saying this two days after release, but I really look forward to the sequel--there are way too many generic MMO trappings ("kill 100 x, collect 50 y") that don't seem like they'll keep me coming back month after month.

If I get a legendary item in Diablo III, I just hold X to reveal what it is. Why do I have to go to orbit, return to the tower after a long load screen, and walk up to a guy in order to find out what my new encrypted loot is? Why does the game force a five-minute process when it could be done in seconds?

At least let me go straight to the tower from the field. I don't know why this wasn't brought up during QA.

Damn good list there.

What's there to encourage someone from actually trying if their chances of getting loot is the same whether they do well or stand afk the entire time though?

Also, is there any incentive for winning at all? Just did my daily ffa pvp mission, didn't win, still got those pvp marks and shit. Is it the same in team matches or if it's not the daily mission?
Seriously? It's random so it's not like not trying is a guarantee for anything. And what fun is not trying? Or getting worked over constantly? I don't think anyone makes a choice to do that.

This is quite wrong, regular headsets with two rings work fine, just no mic of course.
My audio was working just fine.... :P Just noticed I have these moto earbuds with 3 rings, guess I'll give them a try...

Umm... so I just loaded up the weekly heroic strike. Only to realise it doesn't have matchmaking? Are you SERIOUS?
I don't mind that - but aren't ALL the other strikes matchmade? If so why would they make the weekly one not?
No heroic anything is (daily either), I think. The reasoning appears to be that these are legit, apparently the modifiers can be nasty, and you'll want to make sure you're all on voice and ready for it, etc.

The more I see this the more I'm thinking it might be worth trying to shout myself hoarse about www.gw2lfg.com. Need to make sure it works in practice, but using a site like that where you can specify what you want a team for might be a good band-aid until some further grouping options exist in-game.

ok im done with crucible why does it reward bad players ? only the top 3 should get gear

The current system is pretty silly. But I think you should always at least have a small chance to get gear. Maybe something like this for a 6v6 match:

Winning team:
1st place: 100% chance to get something, maybe 33% chance to get legendary.
2nd: 75%, 20% chance to get legendary
3rd: 50%, 10% chance to get legendary
4th: 50%, no chance for legendary
5th: 50%, no chance for legendary
6th: 50%, no chance for legendary

Losing team:
1st: 75% chance to get something, no chance for legendary
2nd: 50% chance to get something, no chance for legendary
3rd: 25% chance to get something, no chance for legendary
4th: 10% chance to get something, no chance for legendary
5th: 10% chance to get something, no chance for legendary
6th: 10% chance to get something, no chance for legendary

Sort of random number assignments obviously, but a system like this would be so much more satisfying.

Completely agree.

Lots of little things like that that could make this game so much better. I wouldn't mind it if the loading times weren't so atrocious.

Anyone else getting a message saying the servers are down? PSN.

Also, guess others have run into
the level 26 Praetorians on Venus? I take it there's a raid that way or something?

Does the game put you with piece of shit scrubs on purpose? This is the sixth time in a row that I've lost and I've always been #1 in my team with #2 being far below me. What the fucking fuck.

My titan after day 2. pretty happy with how i've progressed considering i've got college taking up my life. thank you instructors for not assigning homework on tuesday and wednesday <3

2 classes left today and so far nothing to do tonight so my fingers are crossed. anyone on PS4 wanna join up for a few strikes in the strike playlist tonight? Msg me on PSN (same username as here)

I like this, everyone has a chance at something, people who do well have a higher chance to get better gear. Also the bonus of legendary gear for winning team will be an incentive to PTFO in objective playlists. well done

Because the weekly strike is not a normal strike,it's a heroic one. It's supposed to be hard and you are supposed to do it with a properly set up group.

I mean come on man it's a once a week thing. do you really want to have a weekly thing in the game you just PUG with some noobs and get a reward out of it each tuesday?

I agree with your earlier explore comments, Klyka, and look forward to playing with you once I get my PS guy up to speed (binge rushed 20 on XB1 first day out and then had issues in rl yesterday keep me away :) ).

That being said, this is off. Other games have matchmaking for "heroic" instances. One had 10 million+ players at one point. There's no reason why it shouldn't exist.

The only thing I can think of is Bungie is scared that people won't understand the WoW / EQ style "roles" and will release the matchmaking for Heroic later. That they don't want posters like the dude above getting pissed and quitting the game because the raid / strike was hard.

I am HOPING it's like that, but then the issue is their communication skills are reprehensible.

I will compare my new Painted Suros to the Cydonia tonight. Stats look the same, but it has a longer range and a little smaller magazine size.

I'm loving the game for sure. My only gripe is that I played the beta too much and due to work, I have yet to move beyond the beta content yet. I'm ready to leave Earth and go elsewhere, I just want to complete everything on Earth before I move on. Also, I'm trying to "wait" for my buddy so that we can play thru on co-op, but his internet connection has been giving him the boot a lot. Makes it grueling to make progress when your fireteam member keeps getting dropped. We tried doing the strike on earth twice last night, and both times I end up by myself with a random player because my buddy lost connection (he lives in the sticks).

Anyone on PS4 up for being our third for the earth strike mission around 7pm EST tonight? (My buddy dies a good bit/ I revive a good bit)

The Crucible is highly dependent on momentum. Usually the team that gets away with an early lead is going to win.

I am bad and I like it the way it is.

I don't know anything about these rings but my Sensheiser Momentum on hear headphones work as a mic and headphones fine. But you have to enable it on PS4.
Under system settings, go to devices (might be named audio devices, I don't remember). Go to the microphone settings. Here I was able to speak into the mic and have it recognized. Once I did that, it was recognized elsewhere. My mic was not recognized until I went into this setting.

You can also go go adjust devices from the PS button and change your sound output to all audio or chat only.
Thank you! I'll give it a shot.

I personally have used Turtle Beach headsets and like their comfort and sound. I don't have experience with their less expensive sets though (the cheapest I've owned was $80). A lot of people also like Astro brand headsets but again, I haven't tried any. Other than that, a lot of people like the Playstation official "Gold" and "Elite" headsets.
Thank you. Much to ponder.
Well I never really bothered with actually using gw2lfg personally. I had the luck of being in the awesome GW2 Gaf guild, so parties were always just a guild message away. :P I simply meant that it's a third party site meant to be used for finding fireteams in the same way that gw2lfg does.
:D I wish that there was some in-game clan support. If you could sent out a Looking for Fireteam request to everyone on your clan somehow it would be wonderful.

For the things that grouping entail in this game, I haven't seen anything that would work better than www.gw2lfg.com yet

Team up with me bro

Psn is mmarsu

We'll lay waste to some fools

If anyone is on the Xbox One and wants to jump on and help me with some missions, I would be eternally grateful, as I'm just beginning to play and don't fully understand the game yet. Noob here, Just got to Moon, around Level 6.

Gamertag nostronomo. Logging in now.

Anyone on GAF around level 8 and want to take on the moon? My usual co-op bud for borderlands and destiny is out of the country for the next few weeks and it has been a slog doing the missions singleplayer!

I disagree with that, actually. I mean, momentum is definitely important, but you can swing a 4 or 500 point run in seconds if you're lucky and that can swing a whole game. I've seen it happen.

It's what keeps me with Control after really hating it at first for those exact reasons, lead team just running away with things.

Also, with every day, matchmaking is getting more accurate, so I think that's also making it better for me as solidly mid-tier player.

they don't want posters like the dude above getting pissed and quitting the game because the raid / strike was hard.

this is exactly why i think they do it.

going into WoW/normal MMo you KNOW what you are in for. You understand the roles automatically, everyone knows tank/heal/dps stuff like that.

But here in Destiny? Which role is which? Who does what? It's not very natural, it's all very open and freeflow and let's be honest: most people who bought and are playing this game do not have the mindset to come up with this stuff. They wanted a shooter and they play it like a shooter. If you throw completely new crazy stuff at them that just punches their teeth in, a lot of them will go "lol bungie is shit i completed halo on legendary what a shit" and leave.

I do believe we get heroic matchmaking down the line.

The Crucible is highly dependent on momentum. Usually the team that gets away with an early lead is going to win.

Kind of depends on the game mode I think. A mode like Rumble or the TDM mode will play out like most FPS shooters DM and TDM modes in that whoever takes the lead is usually just the better shooters.

However, Control is very much about what it's name implies. A good team that recognizes how to hold two points rather than running all over the map flipping back and forth can make each of their kills more valuable and thus overcome an early lead.

Am I missing something, or are clans just for show in-game? I thought you would be able to see all online Class members in the Roster tab, but it sure doesn't look like you can interact with the clan in anyway from within the game. Lack of any matchmaking or (LFG tagging) for both Daily and Weekly Strikes makes completing either pretty much impossible for me.

I do feel like there should be some sort of weighting to rewards. I just went 4 games in a row in first place and didn't get a single drop.

I like how there is an element of randomness to it so everyone gets a piece of pie at some point but I still think it should be a bit rewarding for those who do well.

Everyone uses the same weapons in the crusible, that's the A1 auto rifle and rolls with the shotgun, the same issue that was in the beta. They need to nerf the auto rifles or at least bring up the damage for the other weapons.

That's what I did in WoW for years and. It went fine more often than not, so I don't see why not.

They are indeed just for show.

They did nerf them. I feel they are not overpowered but since most maps bring you very close to your enemies, especially control maps, the close combat weapons like ARs/shotguns/pulse rifles are just better to use there.

They actually INCREASED the damage of those. Yeah. Not kidding.

wait never mind I read your post wrong. Here is excerpt from patch notes

Assault Rifles

Reduced the base Damage of all Assault Rifles by 7%
Reduced the base Accuracy ranges by [14% to 25%], modified by weapon stat
Reduced the base Stability ranges by [8% to 80%], modified by weapon stat

If my roommate starts playing and I'm at level 20 or so, what will come of me helping him out? Any experience / beneficial loot, or will it be a purely charitable operation on my part?

I use the scout exclusively and see it a good bit in mp, especially after they nerfed the auto. Fusion rifles haven't been super rare either. I've yet to see a single hand cannon though

I'll vouch for www.gw2lfg.com. It was amazing in GW2 before they had the in-game tool and I used it a ton of times. Last night I really wanted to get the Devils Lair Strike done but didn't want to do it with a PUG. I fired off a few fire team invites to my friend list asking if they wanted to do Devil Lair and got no responses. With using that website I would have just specified what I wanted to do and waited for the friend invites to come in.

I didn't get my first replacement until 16 and it is absolutely atrocious.

There are two I want in the tower, for outrageous prices... I must have them. ;_;

I didn't get a cloak for ages either. There's 2 or 3 in the tower I like but it's a shame the previews are quite close up.. it'd be nice to get a full preview with character rotation.

Also, Hawk, get an Xbox One so we can do strikes together :(

You get XP which eventually converts to a Mote of Light, which you can use to buy super rare loot.
