Beta gets you used to all the tricks. That and the game is mechanically similar to a lot of other FPS.
You aren't supposed to know about it. You're supposed to log in on the weekend and notice him and be like whaaaooaa who is that let's check this out zomg he wants my coins.
You don't get anything, just the ability to buy them (not that they're expensive). They are decent if you're missing a weapon class you want to try but largely worthless.
0. You have to buy them with Glimmer.

No problem! Sounds like you got it dude. I should say though, if you want gear from a faction other the vanguard or the crucible, you have to purchase your class item (bond, cape: mark) from one of the faction. There's future war cult, dead orbit, and new monarchy. So I'm interested in dead orbit cause they have a sweet black coat so I would buy the warlock bond from them and equip it. Then when I do vanguard or crucible bounties, all that reputation turns into Dead Orbit rep instead. But I would just focus on getting vanguard and crucible stuff before going for any particular faction like that.you're awesome thanks!!
so now I'll choose a faction, stick with it, and do a lot of crucible, focus on bounties, and vanguard missions in order to increase the faction rank as well as crucible rank, and slowly get some light armor + cool weapons
maybe i should finish the story too!
Fuck, this game is way too detailed. Still not as bad as an mmo, though.

So what's the deal when, say, your Xbud is in like his 20 levels and you're 11 and won't be there for like at least a week? Will they be able to play together when they're both in their 20s or are you sort of walled in by the game in each level past 20?
Like a 23 will be doing totally different things from a 21 and wouldn't have shit do with a lowly 21?

Can I just say how disappointing it is that all three earth maps (rusted lands, exodus blue, and twilight gap), which ALL take place in different areas, look so incredibly similar outside of their skyboxes? All of them have that exact same kind of snow covered ground with those weeds coming out of it, and those industrial buildings with same assets and everything.
I mean, my goodness, they could have at least made the ground look different.

I need to know as well. I try hitting option, then share button really fast but most of the time part of the hud creeped back in. I just want an option to remove hud completely during gameplay or at least remove the weapon and ammo icons, they are such an eyesore.

Rumble is so much fun. Especially on that extremely close quarters combat map on the moon (?). I just run around with a shotgun and laugh my ass off at how crazy it gets.
do the toughness, recovery, and agility modifiers used in these codex toggles have any effect in standard MP? how about the damage boosts guns get when upgraded? It would be nice to know what exactly is normalized and what isn't.
I don't know about the modifiers for characters but for the guns yes it does boost it.

My Warlock so far. Just hit 20 last night and already starting to get light armor. Also repping that FWC!!!
The Future War Cult logo looks like somehting outta Wipeout.
Hell, most emblems and logos in the game look like Wipeout logos.
Is Destiny the distant future of the Wipeout games?

it's amazing if you play to your strengths, especially on asylum and burning shrine. rusted lands is good too and if you run CQB on anamoly you'll wreck.
it's a different beast but the adrenaline rush is great.
new online game mode, sparrow wave racing.

How fine are you guys with me introducing concepts that aren't in Destiny as we know?
Stuff like new subplots and characters.
For instance, ZEITGEIST is a thing I'm introducing early on in the story that is an unknown entity which "hires" people into scavenging Ghost parts (amongst other things) for an unknown goal.

The community hasn't really settled into using any particular one of the LFG sites yet... reddit doesn't seem to have a preference quite yet and I'm not sure where else to look. I checked out the ones that offer these general services and I think that

It has filters for both platform and region (none of the others seem to have both, annoyingly), doesn't require any signups, shows how long ago a listing was made, has report/banning functionality for abuse, and a couple other nice features. www.destinyteamfinder.com is missing region, and thatwizardcamefromthemoon.com is pretty, but WAY overcomplicated and missing basic features for this use case on top of requiring a signup. NONE of them but wizard seem to have an option for Headset Y/N, but whatever, if you require one you can put it in the comments.
I really think if we were to adopt this site and start listing things it would go a long way toward making the site itself a valuable resource for others, and enhancing the enjoyment of GAF members who don't have people to form a fireteam with.

Nope. Locked areas are still locked. Absolutely ridiculous. This game is a joke in many ways. Luckily it's also really good in some other ways.
So I bought the ghost edition of this game but really wanted the digital version since it was all online, but also really wanted all the cool physical stuff from the ghost edition. To solve my problem I found someone willing to pay me $55 for my copy just disc no case, and then I bought the digital copy. Life's good sometimes....

Fusion is my main gun on most maps tbh.
I've warmed up a lot to the scout rifle as well. But not in Rumble.
