When PVP says that leveling advantage is disabled, what exactly is implied?

I figured these were some:

Weapons are scaled back
Weapon bonuses are disabled
Class bonuses are disabled/truncated

Is HP normalized between classes?

You have weapon bonuses.

You have Class bonuses.

Weapons are scaled back.

So what exactly is Radiance useful for in the Sunsinger Warlock subclass? Seems to me Nova Bomb is better, but maybe I'm not understanding what happens when using Radiance. Any Sunsingers out there feel like filling me in?

It gives you a slight stat boost, it makes your grenade cooldown ridiculously small, and every kill you get in Radiance mode gives an orb. It's great for getting your team's super bars up.

Are fireteam exp shared, or do players with more kills get more exp? And what about treasure chest loots? Also, my friend needs a hand cannon. Every time we go to the gunsmith he isn't selling it. Do we just have to hope he's selling it when we go to the tower? My brother and I got it from a loot drop. We all clock an hour to two every night so we're all low levels here.

Thanks for any help!

Music to my ears.

Apparently this is what we know
-Arc does bonus vs blue shields.
-Void vs purple shields
-Fire vs Orange shields.
So, being colorblind I think I'll focus on Fire weapons.

There is no way I'm going to be able to discern the difference between blue and purple shields in the heat of battle.

C'mon Bungie. You have to have some colorblind folk at the office, right?

So where are people finding legendary gear? Strikes? Also is there matchmaking for the heroic daily missions? That's where you get exotic gear right?

Going to read Grimore cards during class, see how far down the lore rabbit hole goes in this game.
Deeper than I thought, at least. It's an almost inexplicable amount of effort considering they aren't leveraged in-game at all, but I guess I'm warming to it. Bungie's site/app really are slick. I want to know how to collect more

random lore spoilers (i think?): warlocks...

I'll never understand why these big budget AAA games rarely have a colorblind mode. I doubt it would take much time or effort and would help a lot of people who need it. And if your game doesn't have subtitle options you should be ashamed.

Another great session with my static Fireteam.
Lv 12 now. Can't wait to hit 20 and start the grind. Got our asses kicked during the Moon Strike but it was still fun. We were 9, 10 and 13 so it was expected. We'll return in a while, though.
Got the Lv 12 Shingen-C, which is a lot of fun to play with.
Still in love with the game. I actually don't even mind the repetitiveness of the missions and the "story" since the coop is just so much fun.
Another long session coming up tomorrow with a lower level friend so we'll head back to the moon to bring him up to speed.

The best strike I've found is the The Nexus, purely because the boss isn't giant and stood in one place/walking forwards and backwards.

Dust Palace could be OK, but the only experience I have is under geared during a level 22 strike, spending an hour and a half then quitting.

First legendary engram and its a fucking warlock item... fuck this game.

Lol I said the same thing last night, my first legendary were hunter gauntlets and I'm a warlock

After moving to a new place, buying a new kitchen and waiting for Driveclub I didn't feel like buying Destiny at all.
Today I came home and my wife bought me a new pair of Adidas and a copy of Destiny!
Can't play it till Tuesday since my new high speed Internet connection is due Tuesday!

But damm.... My wife rocks! :D

Reading this article by forbes kinda reaffirms the fears about content being locked away until DLC. http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2014/09/09/lessons-learned-from-50-hours-of-destiny-to-date/

granted, most MMO like games require a subscription and then the content roles out while you're paying, so it's not much of a difference. nevertheless, I do get the feeling that a lot of areas were left intentionally empty to fill with more stuff later on through expansions. i don't have a problem if new areas open up, but populating existing areas after the game launches rubs me the wrong way. unless they plan to leave areas like the grottos completely empty of any reward or mission, in which case it'll still be disappointing.

While that totally sucks and I sympathize, basically your best route will be to carry one of each type on your person, and then if you hit up against a boss that is like a brick wall, get to safety and swap. Try either of the other elements and see if you make a dent, rather than trying to make out the shield color at all.

For instance, my one piece of legendary requires 16 Spinmetal for one upgrade, and there are 3 upgrades on that one piece which need 16 Spinmetal.

The materials you get from breaking down armor is also used for armor upgrades. If I could go back and level all over again, I would probably not upgrade a singe piece of armor or weapon until I'm level 20. It's just a waste of materials and money. You upgrade it and then 10 minutes later you get a new piece of gear and that upgrade is thrown out. Upgrading Rare and Legendary gear gets much more expensive, it's better just to save until you are actually going to use the upgrades for a while and not throw them out.

Thanks for the tips been upgrading my Green items but will stop doing that now.

I think they'd face a backlash if they repopulated current areas more than they did new areas. If they repopulated then they better be unique experiences.

general rule of thumb:

vex minotaurs = void element
fallen captains = arc element
hive wizards = solar element

i haven't fought the cabal yet

Yeah so the missions definitely get better as the game goes on. At least after finishing up the Moon. So good, still a lot of familiar structure though.

It's amazing how much of the world doesn't get visited in the story missions. You'd think they would want to show off such a large space. I guess patrol is where you get all that.

I'd rather they try and spice up empty areas through more interesting Patrol stuff in that mode. Just dropping a new place on the ground like they were playing Tapped Out would be wack. I don't mind having big empty spaces to walk through. It's a burned out future, it shouldn't be teeming with life anyways.

Lol wut. Tried a Strike mission and landed in front of some big ass baby alien thing. Got ass whooped then server disconnected.

Haha this one was one of the first ones I read.

They're kinda interesting. I know Bungie put a lot of side story and mystery outside of the Halo games, but the amount here is staggering.

I think the only way to collect more is just through playing and waking dead ghosts, not sure though as there's too many to tell.

Ugh. Invisible walls suck while exploring. Nofunallowed.jpg. One of the cool things I liked to do in Halo 3 was break out of various areas in the campaign and climb up some random construct way off in the distance, sometimes there would even be weird symbols and stuff on stuff that devs put there.

That's another thing, I hear a lot of talk about Dead Ghosts like they're scattered collectibles- I don't know if I've found a single one. Do you have to do something in particular to collect them?

Yeah! There's some of that, but it blows when the game is like "NO NO NO, WE HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE ARMORY." psshhh I'm playing the game I know where I wanna go you shut up

This is really helpful - thanks :)

This would only work with primary weapons though, right? Doesn't your secondary and heavy ammo still reset to zero when changing weapons?

They're littered across the environment. Not sure if they're in random locations each time you start a new mission or the same places all game. For example, I found a few in random lockers/abandoned planes in Old Russia. To collect them, just walk up to them and hit X or square.

Aren't Contributors on Forbes basically like blog articles?

Got back home. Guess I'll wait for my two friends to log in to play with them. The good thing is that we all have so many other responsibilities we're still around the same level (10 +/- 2) so as long as we keep playing together we're good.
