It sounds like the raids are coming with the 2 announced DLCs .. hope you can fly em anytime you want honestly.

Question to the people pushing closer to 30:

I just hit 21 on my lunch this afternoon and while i'm sitting on almost all Rare blues/Purp legendarys right now i'm really itching to get my hands on some more unique and (bungie willing) some exotics before this next weekend rolls up and I meet up online with all my mates.
So the question is: Best means for gathering up high end blues and beautiful yellow exotics? I was planning on having my initial character (hunter) be my PVE slot and my next character be almost entirely Crucible - now i'm starting to worry that the most exotics i've seen awarded outside of leveling up your Cryptarc or getting insanely lucky on a Strike missions is through hitting the crucible hard.
Should i continue to do the strike playlists and hope for the best?
Are the vanguard Legendary weapons worth the time/effort?
Is there a Heroic mission out there with a better than 1/1000 chance of dropping gold?

Need myself an exotic handgun. Need it bad.

I just played on that map for the first time. Beautiful. The maps have weird weighting, some never get picked others come up every other time.
Anyone know for sure how many there are?

I think I like a majority of them actually, but I realized I have no clue if I've SEEN a majority of them or not

Thanks. So then those multiplayer modes will be open permanently?

Iron Banner is not a permanent playlist. That is the mode they ran in beta for 2 hours per event, where level advantages are fully enabled (so everything from level & gear stats is counted). They haven't said how it'll work in the live game as far as how long it'll be accessible when the event starts, but it will be on some type of consistent cycle.

Salvage playlist sounds like a special weekend event.

I'm almost 25. From my experience, Vanguard Strikes are dropping the best loot for me due to their guaranteed drops. Crucible hasn't been nice with my loot drops despite always being among the top 3.

I wasn't sure if I should have said hi to you on Monday when you were holding the door for the fifth tour group, ushering us down the stairs to the lobby. It would've taken too long to explain who I was. ;_;

I am terrible with meatworld names, but oddly enough my mind is a steel trap when it comes to forum handles.

I KNOW YOU

Thanks for coming out. Hope DeeJ didn't get any neck sweat on you.

Thanks for giving me a free copy of a game I already spent $90 on PSN for.

It'll make a great Exotic Coaster.

I don't have a clue either hehe. I just played one on Venus for the first time too. Its a shame there's no custom games to see them all.

Sooo I'm guessing I should save weapon parts and plates for later right? I could upgrade my blue lvl 10 hand-canon but I'm only level 14, could probably get a better gun in a level or two.

I know there have been no raids yet, but has there been any info on the Raid achievement/trophy that requires you to complete it with clan members? I'm just wondering if a fireteam can consist of someone from GAF West 2, GAF East 5, etc. Or do they all have to be from the same region and group to get the trophy?

I regret going Titan, they're so useless in PvE. No point in their offensive abilities against bosses and their bubble is also pointless given the wide variety of cover available.

Gonna level a Warlock despite having my Titan at 24 already.

I'm beginning to feel this way as well.

Titans are not useless. Titans are extremely great to have in your party on the higher difficulties. Your supers are all about either keeping the group alive or destroying lots of adds and creating orbs of light for your DPS so they can spam their supers and do more damage to the boss.

Well the Queen does say "If the Awoken ever need help I will call on you".

So I guess that's her calling?
Yeah, maybe an extra story mission then? Some actual use for
The Reef :p
Or just bounties or something, either way hope it's something with good rewards :D

I might do the same. I'll keep my Titan (obviously) in case it seems necessary for raids but I sure felt hampered in PvP lol.
My first purple! for another class... :(
Yep, same here. Into the Vault it goes.

So what are the differences in what faction you choose after hitting level 20? Does it really make no difference? I like the Snape looking guy but that seems a petty reason to choose.

Stuff to ponder

As of right now, fewer than 1 in 3 Destiny players have successfully completed a strike.

0.3% have completed one without anyone dying.

I literally just started. Hoping to play some story missions with people (Lvl 3). Playing on PS4 - my PSN ID is TaggSte - just send me a friend request if you want to join.

I was a little disappointed when I realized 1) you can't shoot at anything while inside of it and 2) the big baddies can just come right in after you and kill you anyway. It's not a bad super but I have to be cautious of where I put one because of that. You don't want it in too good of a vantage spot because you then lose that area to shoot from. It's also nice when having to revive someone though.

What's the best way to get new shaders? I already know about the lady near the speaker who sells'em.

Also, I've got to repeat: Skirmish (3v3) is SO GOOD. If you find yourself not liking the PvP, try it with a full team.

For people who care about the story and are afraid of it being disjointed or something, I give you the following advice:

There are two types of "story" missions. The ones with the star and laurels around it and the ones with just a star.

ONLY the ones with the laurels are actual "main story" missions. They have cutscenes, they have the overarching plot, the unlock access to new missions. If you care about the proper "campaign" story then do those missions in turn. Only those missions. leave the others.

The missions with just stars are sidemissions. They have no influence on the "campaign" story, they are basically side adventures, things that impact the world but not the main story. Do those quests AFTER you finish the main story quests in a world or hell,do them whenever you want to.

I really hope this helps some people enjoy/understand the "story" of the game more.
