Dude, I've been playing all day and NO upgrades ! It's insane , I'm lvl 24 and doing Strike lvl 22 / playing crucible. Bungie, fix the loot system or do something about it.

I haven't done a 24 strike...

Plus you gotta keep in mind you can complete a lot more pvp games in the time a strike is completed.
 
bah, got top of my team with the handcannon but the other team was just blade dancers and auto rifles :(

My titan feels like he has no benefits in mp outside of the quake stomp move, since damage is mostly normalized, we have no good projectiles, well I guess the bubble is ok but it's sort of pointless and takes too long to enable if caught off guard.
 
I'm still torn guys. I'm level 17 gunslinger, I don't know when I should switch over to the sub class and start on that. It kind of sucks that the new sub class requires more XP to level up the first level (because it's starting at level 17 vs 1). =/

Any other Hunters on GAF? When did you start your sub class? What level?

EDIT: Also, what level do you get Triple Jump? That's really the one skill I want to get for Gunslinger. I'm already 17..and still nothing. Doesn't seem like it's close.
 
Just finished the last mission. I'm kind of pissed at Bungie for releasing a screenshot of the big vista reveal of the last level over a year ago. That would've been really cool to see for the first time while playing, but nope, here's a screenshot. Actually, I think way too much was revealed prerelease about everything regarding Destiny. There was just nothing surprising. I wasn't surprised by a location or a story beat or anything, it was all pretty much expected. And I didn't even look at all the prerelease media coverage either.

Also, I'm really ticked at how little story there was. I really wanted to know what was up with the Traveller and stuff. Prerelease, they made it sound like no one really knew what it was, what it's intentions were and whatnot. But in the final game it's just a white orb that gives people space magic and people worship it sometimes maybe I don't know. Come on, Bungie.
 
does anyone know if faction weapons/ armor reset?, or is a set group of weapons per faction that never change?

I use the Auto Rifle most of the time, and find only the New Monarchy

when choosing a faction, should i consider anything else other than its weapons?

You buy your class cosmetic item from their quartermaster in the tower. There's 1 near the Traveler, and 2 near the shipwright if my memory is correct. Check the Tower map to be sure. (Square near one of the tower robot). All the Vanguard reputation you would get is replaced by reputation for your equipped faction item.
 
Is there any way to track how many ghosts you have found? Or the locations found or how many are in each location?

Or is it all just searching all over for them?

Their stock doesn't change. To choose between them, I think the biggest thing is deciding what focuses you want to specialize in with your armor: Strength, Discipline, and/or Intellect.

Each faction specializes in 2 of the 3. So if you want low Super and Melee cool down, New Monarchy would be better for you. Also, don't forget to check out the Crucible gear and the Vanguard gear, they also have armor and weapons. I know the Vanguard has I think 1 of every weapon (next to the Shipwright).

I just dump screenshots onto a USB drive then move them to PC.

Level that shit up duder because I wanna do that weekly heroic this weekend.
 
Holy shit the weekly strike.

That arc damage bonus is INSANE considering the fallen use arc weapons. A lonely dreg can still mess you up.

how do you know which each faction specialize in?, just through armor attributes?
 
So if I choose Titan defender do I get back all those striker ability points to reassign, and can I go back if I don't like it, or better yet back and forth as situation calls?

You have to progress the Defender separately from Striker. You can swap back and forth between them like pieces of gear.

Yes. Mostly black and silver with gold metallic highlights. My Hunter looks pretty great in them. I'd post a screen, but I'm running a different shader right now and am not at my PS4.

You can switch abilities in your defender tree freely as you want. You can also switch to Striker whenever. You have to acquire XP to unlock all of their talents.
 
It is insane that to merely talk to my match made Strike team I need to invite them individually, then they accept, then they load in and out of the map, then they can finally talk to me.

Going to see if my hand will hold up tonight.
At work I slipped with a box cutter and ran it across the back of my thumb and trigger finger.

I went to Bnet and set the group as Xbox.
Now my banner says DestinyGAF NA East 4

Wasn't there a specific Xbox One group?
There are 4 Xbox members and the NA East 4 extra part is lame.

Switch to your sub when turning in bounties to get levels without effort.

Yeah, I figured that was the way to go. Sitting on 15k worth of bounties. Was going to unload them on my sub class. Thing is, I really wanted triple jump on my Gunslinger class. I'm level 17, and still don't have it. Not sure how far off I am from getting it. But I'm torn on whether to just jump over to my sub class now. Hmmm.

Yeah, just look through their armor. You will see something like "Light +18, Intellect +45, Strength +46". For each faction, both armor sets have the same 2 focuses they specialize in, but they differ slightly in their skill trees.

If you go to the Vanguard or Crucible though, their armor sets differ I think.

New Monarchy seemed to be the best fit for a Titan, in my opinion, so I went with them for now to have a good set of armor to shoot for.
