So uh, any tips for Blade Dancer? They seem pretty terrible in PVE so far. They require you to get up close to enemies that, at the higher levels and difficulties, will just wreck you for making the mistake of getting within melee distance.

Thats better than the 3 vs 6 match i was forced to endure (that quickly turned into 1 vs 6 in 2 minutes)

Isn't it great? :D

I was level 6 when I started yesterday.By the time I was done I was level 14. All I played were Crucible matches. At this rate, I will hit the cap way sooner than I thought.

It makes sense though, most of the things unlock after level 15-20. So.. I just think they have planned something to add in the near future.

Two questions

What does it mean when a Crucible playlist is shown on the left side of the screen on the map?

Why am I all of a sudden getting uncommon weapons on a regular basis from enemies? Before greens always used to be in engrams but after I got my first blue engram decrypted they seem to be dropping unencrypted even more than commons were. Is it because my cryptarch rank went up?

Is BUNGIE addressing the infinite disconnects this game suffers from already? Or is just a case of too much load-out on their servers and will self-repair with time when less people will login?

I've only gotten disconnected twice and both of them were issues on my end. The final game has been way smoother than the alpha and beta.

Just finished the first mission on the Moon, level 7. Recreated the commercial with my Titan when the Hive emerged, awesome.

When it happens only with Destiny in 3 yrs of online gaming you know it's not really "your issue" only in my case. Just google "destiny disconnects" and tons of thread happen. It's a problem with Destiny servers, definitely.

One thing that bugs me about the Tower: why is every NPC a soulless husk with no purpose other than to give you things. I feel like if Bungie provided these characters with personalities or something, it would have helped with instilling more life into this relatively sterile universe they crafted.

U know u r done with this game when u have a badass looking level 15-20 character and u go online and get absolutely whooped by a level 6 character. Yeap. Fuck this.

posts like these puts all the negativity surrounding the game in such profound context, this is the kind of person who will now go to MC and give it a 0.

Story, lore, characters are non-existent here. It's more like Torchlight in space. It's very fun to play but one wonders why they wasted this chance to build something epic with the world. Amateurs.

Only one disconnect in 10+ hours here (1 on launch day evening). Feel for you but it might be on your end?

I just did the first moon mission and I fought a bug tank thing as an optional objective. It said I got gold rank or some shit. The fuck was the point of that?

Yo, Bungie's bullshit matchmaking seems to be the same as always. I'm loving these 4-6 pvp matches that I keep getting put into.

What about playing the same three maps over and over again? It's terrible.

Also the servers are terrible. This is one of the worst online game I've played based solely on the fact that everybody gets constantly kicked

public events...you will be rewarded for it back at the tower. Also an achievement/trophy for getting gold 10 times

It's not really happening with me but with my gf playing from a different country on same (unified) servers. She never had any problem though playing any other online game until now, included complex experiences like MMORPGs (A Realm Reborn) and such. With this game there are random disconnects happening every 5mins, 15mins, or 45mins. PSN stays online, game stays online, but she gets kicked out of the fire team and dungeons back to the orbit quite frequentely with a server communication error message. Sometimes happen less, sometimes more. Looks like tied to load-out on their part sincerely.

Gotta say, love this game. Been playing/streaming for many hours at a time, I think I hit 8 today and it was amazing. Even during a mission I was doing solo I found some random peeps and we conquered it together.

Yeah, I went through the stresses of port forwarding my modem/router a few minutes ago. I thought that it was just my shitty internet but I guess that other people having the problem is reassuring at-least. I kept getting Centipede (I'm not on a college campus) and Baboon as error messages. Truly frustrating since I lost many Crucible marks.

Like borderlands?

O and fuck you bungie, had 47 kill game with no reward.

I was reading the official forum now and BUNGIE is definitely conscious of problems related to this, said they're looking into it. They should hurry -.-' patch this shit lol. Game's fantastic though ~

Don't revive people! Let them respawn on their own and hide until they do....just keep one alive. Also...don't shoot his head...shoot under it, his weak point is the colored area of his chest. I beat it at level 16 with two randoms, then today with my two buddies (20, 17 & 13). Lastly there is a gold chest on the small platform toward the open area. Do work!

Haha thanks man, but we made it last night. A good tactic we found was to camp up on the platform to the right, and shoot the mf. When baddies come out of the walls, we super them, heavey weapon then and such. We also divided roles. I was on elite look outs, one was focusing on the big bad ogre, and the third one was helping when needed. Nailed the ogre with sniper shots to it's weak points. Haha, was glorious.

Took three tries though haha.

So the same weapons that were dominating PvP in the beta are still the best ones to use in the full game?

Apparently. I refuse to use auto rifles, and I'm having a blast with scouts and pulse rifles (though it's extremely hard aginst ar. Most of the time I'm loosing in a 1vs1 ar player) My shotgun destroys though. Absolutely destroys.

Yeah I haven't had a single disconnect so far after playing for 15 or so hours. I've had a single crash when I entered the tour at midnight on launch day, but no disconnects at all! *knocks on wood*

Quite impressed

Biggest disappointment, for sure. I love the game but it's alarming how little they've done to flesh out this awesome universe they created. Especially given how much emphasis has been placed on the lore for as long as we've been hearing about the game.

Isn't that the one with a ton of recoil? I suck with that so bad.

I've never used it besides the beta.

I think it may be this one:

Though I'm not sure if the stats have changed or not.

So is Xur suppose to be opening shop at the tower tomorrow or what? I've got enough coins for an exotic and I'm hungering to buy one.

The amount of detail in the grimoire cards is insane. Definitely "epic" in nature. I'm both overjoyed and incredibly disappointed by this.

This is Bungie's biggest fuck up, all that effort constructing lore wasted. No one wants to go look up cards to get the full story, its the same bullshit they pulled with the Halo games,

great lore but you gotta go read the novels.

Thanks for the homework I guess
