There is no level advantages in the crucible, so it's supposed to be a level playing field. Thought to what extent I have no idea.

Does changing your fire team priority from friend only to public mend that? I didn't try it yet.
 
Salvage is definitely that would break me if I keep getting stuck with lousy teammates. And I decided to join the FWC Faction. I want that Legendary Handcannon.

Took care of the first Venus mission. I do believe the waves went a wee bit too long imo. I'll do Venus patrol before meeting the Queen
 
I feel like Mugatu taking crazy pills here. Okay, I haven't seen the endgame yet but so far I've seen 'Borderlands 2 the casual version' with less varied enemies, zero interesting loot, good production values and a really slick UI.

It gets better, right?
 
So what ever happened to the shaders we received from the bungie.net redeemable codes? Did redeeming those codes just make them available in store?

They should be in the Special Orders NPC's stock, for free. Same building as postmaster. If they're not, go check your code page and make sure you actually activated the code after redeeming it.

Depends on what you want from the game and what "Better" means to you.
If you don't like the game now, you probably won't suddenly love it. Make sure to play with other people.
 
Crucible is so much fun. I'm really surprised how much I enjoy it because in the Beta I hated it haha. Seems a bit more balanced now or something, I don't feel like I'm getting blasted by supers everytime.
 
Any level 23+ with an arc weapon or two want to blast through the weekly heroic strike a few times? XUR is now selling exotic weapons and armor for strange coins. I'm at 8 and need 13. But I'd like to get more coins than that.

There are most definitely level advantages in Crucible. Weapon damage and defense are evened out, but every other perk from being a higher level with better abilities, guns and gear is in play.

I guess I expected a bit more depth. So far Destiny feels scarily simple.
 
What's the best way to get strange coins? I got three the first two times I did the Heroic Weekly, but I just did it a third time and got nothing. No rewards at all, lol.

You only get the reward once per difficulty mode, though right? Are strange coins still possible on re-runs? I've already done the level 22 version once.

It won't turn into borderlands 3 when you get to level 20, thats for sure.

Much appreciated, I hadn't clicked on the "Use Now" option on the site. I look forward to grabbing all those goodies when I get on later.
 
I want to replace my Limited Edition bonus ship model, but my absolute favorite Phaeton v1.1 does not show up at the vendor.

Stupid randomized sell list.
 
I really hope people understand that the ending was not just a ending it was continuation of these Expansions...hints with there own stories to unfold.

-This is game is going to go down as one of the greats....Some of the people bashing the game in 'My opinion".
-Truly don't even own it ,but judge from Twitch Streams and Twitcher's gameplay or there favorite Youtuber.
-But, these are "My Opinions"

We had a group going in control last night and the game ended with us winning and them only having under 5000 score. We all got similar messages haha

EDIT: Also I am getting mad Halo 3/early Runescape vibes with Destiny. I haven't woken up in the morning excited to play a game in years.

I've gotten a couple from blue engrams... But yeah I dunno an efficient method of acquiring coins. I'm at 8 atm, bah!

Oh, also, I recommend doing the Daily Heroic Story Mission on the highest difficulty you can manage because unlike the strike, you only get rewards once period for it x.x Earlier I was like "We'll do level 20 then jump to the next and get more stuff".... Nope.
 
I still don't get the purpose of Bounty Access.
I've got a couple (one per day?), but I'm still able to take several bounties or switch them like I did in Beta.
Or is it just a daily reminder like "hey go do some bounties man"?
 
I have no idea how Bungie thought this low number of strikes was acceptable for the kind of game they were making. Bare minimum, there needed to be twice as many as there are currently.

I feel sorry for xbox players going without Dust Palace.

Also, does the weekly strike really have no matchmaking?
 
I happened to be one of the ones that ordered a copy of the Ghost Edition from Newegg a couple of months ago when Amazon ran out of preorder stock. This past week I kept checking my order status waiting for it to ship and the status never changed from "Pre-order".

So on the 10th, I talked to Newegg's customer service to see what the deal was and the rep I talked to kept saying "I'm sorry but this item wasn't continued. If the item is continued it'll ship to you." He kept talking in circles until he was finally like "I'd like to offer you a $10 gift certificate for your troubles." I was like, okay... whatever, I would really like the game, but I'll give it a couple of days and see what happens.

So last night I get an automated email from Newegg saying that their stock of the Ghost Editions isn't coming in at all and to make things right they're offering me either a copy of Destiny (standard edition) at no cost OR a $50 gift certificate. Luckily I was able to at least preorder a LE version of Destiny from Amazon so I already have the game, but it looks like Newegg just GAVE me 60 bones to spend on another game! Score!
 
Don't know much about the game, really. Haven't followed it much, but thinking about picking it up today. I have zero friends playing this right now, so is it worth me getting? I've heard there could be some restrictions.. Can anyone fill me in on how that aspect works?

No there are multiple story missions on Venus. You just have to travel to another location after the first mission, but youre coming back

While the leveling up part can be done solo, the main aspect of the game will be doing the different strikes difficutlies and pvp - both of them works best with friends. Overall the whole game benefits from online mates to play with. Theres matchmaking for strikes and pvp, but without a real way to communicate (theres not ingame chat) it can be really frustrating.
I wouldnt recommend playing the game all by yourself, since theres no real campaign and lack of story. Find some people through gaf to play with you, otherwise i guess it wont be much fun
