I noticed that as well. People are starting to run with shotguns and dominate. I dont have enough experience with them yet to say whether I think they need a change or not, but it's definitely becoming a thing.

I haven't moved off my rare Shingen, but when someone murders me out of nowhere, it is often a shotgun.

I must not have gotten a good shottie to drop, because I can't seem to achieve the same results in my very limited testing.

I'm fine with everyone using shotguns....

Because my Shingen-E always beats them.
 
I think either way it'll be a mess, might as well follow the level progression so the difficulty curve actually remains steady?

Seems like a haphazard way to judge whether or not the story is a mess if you're not playing it in the intended order.

Granted, they could have done a better job explaining how the map worked, but it's still the intended story experience.
 
Shotguns got a range buff from beta to now, I don't know why.

The Shingen-C is also too strong in pvp, each bullet should do a little less to balance it out, right now half my deaths are from that gun, the other half from warlock bombs
 
Exotic, you can only equip two (one weap, one armor piece) at any time. Yeah, I don't get why Exotic > Legendary either.

Basic (White)
Uncommon (Green)
Rare (Blue)
Legendary (Purple)
Exotic (Gold)

Well that because exotic has unique abilities that youll get only on that piece of gear. Like every kill heals you, or aiming down the sights turns you invisible. THose are gameplay changing abilities to have.

There's probably going to be entire builds based around one weapon's or armor's unique ability.

It reminds me of the Famas in Black Ops 1.
 
It's down to how the game handles weapon damage. The "attack" stat (the one that invariably goes up with higher leveled gear) doesn't actually dictate damage, the Impact stat does. Attack governs what percentage of damage is done to an enemy of a given Defense level. When Attack is sufficiently greater than defense, that number hits 100, and you stop doing additional damage with higher-Attack, same-Impact weapons.

On the map, some of the Story Missions have a Star, some of the Story Missions have a Laureled Star (see below)



The Laureled Missions work together to tell the story and you should probably only deviate from that order if you need to level up to make it to a story mission.

First time I run into the word laureled. You mean the missions with stars that have a line connecting them?
 
What do you guys think the best way to acquire "mote of life" would be? I'd like to scrounge up 11 before sunday if possible so i can get a exotic chest. Grinding experience seems like the most reliable way but I'm not sure where i should go to do so if i am trying to be as efficient as possible.

I meant that I don't get the labelling. Seems like Legendary should rank above Exotic.

Aside from my sarcasm earlier, I agree with this. Auto Rifles in general have too much of an advantage over other guns.

I see little reason to go into PvP without an AR equipped except for if you want to have fun. The problem there is go into Clash without an AR and see how fun that is. It isn't.

If someone with an AR has the jump on you, you're dead.

Getting first place is rewarding enough, but I do understand the frustration... I just hope people dont just play for a chance, instead of giving their all for the team.

There should honestly always be a minimum reward or something for people that do very well. Why would you exclude people that excell at the game? Same thing happend to me in a vangaurd 24 strike. i carried the 2 random teamates i got with my 120 kills while they got 30 something each and they both get blue gear & i get nothing lol

No, Laurels are the things around the stars in the Story Missions. They're like, a line of leaves? A curved branch thingie? They're on medals a lot?

I think that's what they're called, right guys?

I had my best PVP ever, got third place, (haha, I suck!) everyone but me got at least 2 greens or a blue. One guy got a legendary drop. I got nothing. But I was happy with my 13 kills and 1.33 k/d.

I'm probably also the only person who enjoys First Light. I like sniping and turrets.

I can see it being fair because it could snowball with the best players just always getting the best gear, but man it sure feels bad to get a 5.0 KDR in Rumble and the guy with 1k/7d ends up with the legendary. This actually happened to me tonight. :-(
 
Just hit level 12, finished my last moon mission. Haven't even done any patrol work on the moon yet, still wandering around the Cosmodrome in my spare time.

I really wish the folks that complain about the game areas being so small would go on a patrol mission and really explore it. I don't find Old Russia small at all. I assume the other planet areas are of similar size?

Before I logged off, I was moving through the Forgotten Shores and a public event took place. Me and a couple of randoms (at least one was level 20+) took down three waves of Fallen invaders. Easy gold win for the good guys.
 
I really don't get why this is online only. Most of the time I run alone and didn't see anybody. Only the tower is crowded as fuck, but it's also useless since there is almost no interaction with other players.

In terms of prehype this is watchdogs all over again. :-( I hope at least driveclub can deliver. The next game that got delayed to "polish"
 
The Traveller came to earth and kicked off some golden age. The good times came to an end and 'the darkness' arrived to ruin the fun. The Darkness' forces are apparently the fallen, Geth, cabal, and hive. For some reason they all fight each other too. IDK. You are shooting stuff in the face, belly, or glowy bits because reasons.
