The only bosses I've fought so far are the Devil Walker and Sepkis. I enjoyed those both enough. Do they actually get worse from that point?

They're all just fairly similar to those fights. Pretty much hide behind cover while enemy shoots super strong stuff at you, pop out and shoot its weak point while it's not shooting you, back into cover when it does. Plus adds spawning.

I like the game so far, I probably won't be playing it in six months since I dont see the grinding being that much fun in the end but the gunplay is quite nice and I enjoy it more than I did Halo: reach and Halo 4's single player.

If anyone want's to do the daily strikes I'm planing to be online tonight and most of the weekend, PSN(PS4) = J2d
People playing Salvage like it's TDM

Come on now >_<
You get points that add up to the total score for kills though right?

Question for you guys: do I need a full fireteam for certain PvE areas/missions or can it just be two guys (regardless of dificulty)? I'm considering buying two copies of the game to play through with a RL-friend but it's just the two of us and I don't want to bring randoms into our game.

Ah okay. Pretty much what I expected after hearing all of the negative critism on the bosses.

And yeah I also hate it when people say PvP was an afterthought. Clearly it wasn't, and just because one may not like it, or if it's just bad doesn't mean it's an afterthought at all. I'm sure they poured their souls into working on it, but that doesn't mean they couldn't have just made mistakes/bad choices. They definitely put in a big effort.

a boss arena that moves similar to the burning shrine's moving walls would be great.

that's why i don't understand the comments about PvP being an afterthought. It feels like more time was spent on the PvP than the rest of the game because it has those creative elements lacking from all of the PvE encounters.

It's something as simple as moving platforms and lasers within the levels and boss arenas

I'm not consigning myself to no hope that the raid(s) will have bosses with some compelling, active complexity. The strikes have to be doable by matchmade (and even voicechat-less) groups so I'm not as critical of a more simplistic design for them.

Normal strikes will always match you with a third player, but they are optional.
Anything else (sans PvP) should be fine.

Woohoo, just got my first legendary!

I think people are exaggerating about how bad the story is, it seems of fairly average "video game" quality. Which is basically what the story is like in every other Bungie game (apart from some dips into the the shite like ODST) so I dont see how peoples expectations could have been that high.

The dialogue is ropey at times, though I think a lot of that has more to do with delivery, it feels like the couldnt decide if they wanted the ghost to have a personality or just be an AI and both the lines and the delivery clearly display that indecision.

Nope this is fine. You won't be able to beat these unless you coordination.

Simply not true, you can solo the dailies if you take it handy and as someone above mentioned you could coordinate just fine in the weeklies if there was voicechat with matchmade groups

Looks cool, I like those "death mask"-esque helms

This lack of match making is just horrible when you can't even communicate with players in game to set up and find groups on your own. Having to get off the game and go on a computer to find people is just fucked up.

You know what's odd? I think this is objectively the worst game Bungie has ever made.

Like damn, what happened? I'm having fun with it but it's like I'm having to cut out all the uncooked parts of a cake that wasn't in the oven long enough.

Ignore hype for a moment. Looking at the game for what it is, being 60 bucks. For some, it's fine and may be worth that, but I think we can all agree Bungie's name shouldn't be on this game for what it currently is. Outside of the story, the quesionable quality is in every facet of the game - from doing missions that are too similar to one another, to PVP's balancing, to the distribution of loot, and to the loading screens.

I'm impressed at how disappointing this game can be right out the box. This almost makes me question if the reason the whole digital upgrade exists is because Activision and Bungie expected this outcome once they delayed reviews for the game. For the folks who are disappointed who took advantage of the deal, there's no way to trade the game in for something else.

I can't wait to go back to play the game once I get off work, but I'm also concerned over the fact I'm in an endgame grind 3 days after the game is released.

Lovely game, but damn Bungie dropped the ball.

I've been glidding the campaign alone, eventhou I have 30-40 friends online most of the time. Problem is everyone is either up or below my current mission. Or ya know getting things going on take like 20 mins of messages back and forth.

WTF was Bungie thinking!? not having match making for missions, such a stupid decision.

But they don't. So....

They really need to add chat. Or something.

Ahahahahahahahahaahahahaha no. Just no.

Destiny's story is categorically worse than any previous Halo game, and in fact most other games in general. There are no characters. That alone would kill it dead.

What about Dinklebot? And Space Queen? And Space Brother? And who can forget Helmet man!

Characters in this game were Tyrion-bot, Queen, Queen Bro, a Stranger, Speaker and YOU.

And there are millions of you. So there are a million characters!!

Seriously though, they should have put an antagonist character at least. I don't know why we hated the robots so much and wanted to kill their black blob at the end.

How do you even get those anyway? I only have one and I can't even remember how I got it :/

I think you get them as random blue engrams, crucible/strike end of mission drops and public quests. I though I'd try and grind some pub quests but spent like 30-40 mins sitting in the place on Earth where the tank drops and juts fought it once before getting bored of waiting.

Saying the story is "bad" implies it actually exists. What's there in Destiny is so bare bones it doesn't even make sense to call it bad. It's not even there.
