Okay, guys. I'm done. Anyone who has a PS4 and is interested in Salvage, or hell, ANY kind of PvP, hit me up. PSN is AstroTesla.

I am SO sick of getting stuck with people who quit when we get even the slightest bit behind as far as points. No one is willing to work as a team and the last three games I've played in, both of my teammates have dropped out and left me on my own against three opponents. I am so pissed, I'm probably going to punch a hole in my TV.

But yeah, please add me if you're trying to get Crucible marks of any kind.

So what are these "Activity Rewards" all about in the Crucible? I've only played two competitive matches so far, did ok in one, not so good in the other. I saw some people got some loot after the match. Is this random, or is there specific things you have to do?

Strikes are definitely my favorite part of the game, though I must admit I have a strong affinity for some of the campaign missions...
They're just not up to the level of something like Halo. I guess they can't be with the 'scope' of the levels or whatever but I have a problem with the way enemy's respawn in and just the design in general. Where are the vehicle levels or other type of objective stuff?

Anyways. I want to finish the SP so I can focus on strikes and such. I really hope I earn some more armor with light because getting pieces with 5 points or so ain't gonna cut it.

anyone else feel like venus is too "messy"? the city areas are nice, but when I get into the terrain and vex parts the environment just feels noisy, distracting and i end up losing my bearings fast. there's just way too much geometry competing for my attention

The wrecked cars cause this iin my opinion. They kinda seem outta place. Regular wheeled cars on venus? Makes it look like something out of fallout 3 or Tlou.

I've loved tooling around Venus, but it does have that ODST meets The Last of Us vibe to the more urban ruins.

The untamed areas are where it shines for me. Its those times you feel like you're on a very alien world. And those moments are the ones that really suck me in.

Oh, also I'd prefer for people with headsets to add me because I'm tired of talking to myself lol. Once again, my PSN is AstroTesla.

Looking to do PvP or maybe look for some Public Events to do.

I wouldn't say they're not up to the level of Halo. I put some of the strikes on par with certain Halo encounters. Campaign missions too.

I just beat it.

Is that all? :(

Story is bad, which is a bummer because this game is so damn fun. I want moooooore.

Also, <3 McCartney's song.

It's a bummer but remember that this game is supposed to keep expanding, you never know where the story might go.

I'm really just being overly optimistic here.

Anyone on Xbox One want to join me and a friend on the weekly strike? We want to run it a few times to get some "strange coins".

I'm a level 24 hunter and my friend is a level 20 warlock.

You know at this point in just itchin for the expansions to come out. I feel like Venus and Mars should've been in the middle of a bigger story.

Then at what point do you say is enough and you review a game? If you adopt that mind set, you'll never review a game because there'll always be another patch on the way. Reviewing a game on day 1 is the time when you know everyone will experience the same content and when people care the most, so it's easiest and best to review it then.

This isn't a matter of when it's easiest and best (for reviewers) to review a game. That's not my or your problem. (unless you are a game reviewer?) This is a statement that the traditional game review can only review "what's in the box at launch" is silly though, considering that I've read a few open ended reviews in my life and for some games, it's warranted to take such an approach. Such things exist. Set in stone reviews with firm numerical "ratings" are not always helpful, and are frequently a lazy proxy to sum up an initial opinion that may not even be relevant by the time I get the game. Even if it's on launch day.

for the multitude of Groups we have for GAF we don't seem to have any PvE/PvP focused clans. I think that would have worked much better than the regional groups that we have now.

Please point me to where I disagreed with any particular review's criticisms.

You only said one sentence in the post I quoted, so I point to that one. Not that you disagree, but to say a review isn't complete because a part of the game hasn't come out yet while the game itself has shipped is, again, being defensive over Bungie or the game itself since, again, games are given reviews once they are out to the public or close to it.

So does the faction cape only give you faction points and rank in crucible? I don't really like the way mine looks right now and I'd really only want to put it on for crucible

Just had my first 'reach out and press the power button' moment. As with the beta, enemies spawn too frequently in their dedicated spawn points. I scanned the first thingy on the 4th mission on Old Russia, and all the enemies I cleared out of the ship to get the spawned directly around me and I died.

New rule: if enemies can't be inserted into the game realistically (drop ships, spawning far away and then patrolling on foot to the location), they don't respawn. It was a problem in the beta I was hoping would be repaired for the full game.

As far as you are concerned, sure. It's a pretty traditional measure of what to review. As far as I'm concerned, no, reviewing part of the game isn't reviewing the game, especially when it IS end game content on disc - it's just unlocked one week after release.

I've had them literally respawn on top and around me in Strike boss fights. Sometimes you think you found a good spot to kinda hole back in and that stuff happens and it's like "welp".

Nice. Well, I was sort of trying to tell you in a roundabout/funny/polite way that it is really offensive to many people. It doesn't seem like you get it though so I'll just say that it will cause you to be banned eventually if you continue to use it here. Maybe Gaf is way more enlightened than I ever thought...

Oh no, I certainly got it.
It's not like I called anyone in this thread a moron... :-/
But hey, if that all it takes to get a ban, I hope it's a perm, cause that would be beyond stupid when you look at some of the stuff that gets posted on the board overall.

im pretty sure it only replaces Vanguard rep when you have it on. so have it equipped when you hand in Bounties or go on Patrol missions.

ya, you gotta watch out for those doorways that have the black mist in them, those are spawn locations and they're everywhere.
