PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | September 2014

What a crazy ride it was to get a Smash 3DS demo code from that request topic. Glad I found a kind soul and my internet allowed me to be the sixth person that quoted him. If only people were so passionate for PASBR.

I was platinum, so I hope I get a code as redemption for those horrible rewards they were offering.

I was platinum during the time period they required to get a code, but I never opted in to emails from nintendo, so I think my own code if I was to get one is now lost in the ether. Oh well. And yea as said, people might be passionate about PASBR if the game was any good. That scoring system though, I really do not like it at all.

Why even do this in first place when you know "most of us" isn't really...for most of us.

Well, this thread is one of the few ones in which the anti-indie shitposting is absent, I think it makes sense to assume that an indie game or a "non AAA" game could be appreciated here.

As long as it's good, clearly.

My Walmart has Toukiden for sale for $19.96, must be a new price since it was still $29.99 earlier in the week.

Is it worth it at this price? I know Japan is getting/already got an expansion and I was wondering if there was any word on a localization and if I should wait or pick this up.

Because all I care and play is GR and SS, everything else to me obviously garbage. Indie is trash since its all about dumb pixels, AAA is too cinematic and graphic so that's trash also.

Promise I'm not trolling, and when the game is announced I'll point it out. :)

Oh and just because I feel like divulging it, the game is not for baekshi.

'cause it's definitely not SS or GR.

this game will be just probably a indie port that is highly hyped by a vita shill and no one even asked for this game or even know about it in the first place.

Well, he's promised to point it out when it is announced. So we can hold him accountable.

I guess if something awesome gets announced he could lie and be like "oh holy shit, GTA on Vita! I mean, uh...that was totally what I was talking about" or whatever. But honestly, I'd be happy either way, as long as something hype worthy does get announced.

I know your not trolling; you seem to be a cool honest person :). I'm sure that game your hinting at will be a great one :D.

Is it Shovel Knight Vita? .....That would be amazing :).

Cant we even get a small hint? Like "adventure/rpg/race" or "indier than X or less indie than Y".

Dunno lol something!

it looks like i may be leaving you, my beloved VitaBros.

gotta sell my mint OLED Vita, but if a VItaMuffin wants it i'll give you a good deal.

If only PSASBR were as good as Smash.

Better than brawl at least

Moebius sounds familiar, what have they worked on previously? A quick Google search doesn't tell me much.

So I spent about 2 hours playing Neptunia Re;Birth1 and died in a cave. The game resets to the main menu. WTF. It wasn't saving at all? I'm highly tempted to trade the game back in now over it. I thought we left the days of games not saving periodically.

I don't understand all the hype around Velocity 2X. I reached level 14 and I don't see why I should bother continuing, the levels are always just various permutations of the same 8-or-so obstacles. Does it get interesting later or is it just more and more of the same?

Apart from having physical controls it feels like a cheap iOS/Android game. I just don't see what the buzz is all about.

Well, it is about older game systems right?

Puhuhuhuhu,

I know a Vita secret my fellow Vitabros - and it's a good one. It may not be AAA, but I have a feeling it's going to be thoroughly enjoyed by a lot of people here based on what they've posted in the past.

The wait isn't too much longer...

...and no, it's not Dangan related - I just love that laugh.

Isn't this heavily frowned upon?

Auto-saving in a JRPG? Why would you assume that?

That isn't a thing in most JRPGs. The only recent ones I can think of that let you retry are the FFXIIIs, Tales, and Persona 4 Golden.

Besides, you should remember to save regularly anyway.

The game gets more faster as you progress; you get more upgrades for both the ship and 2D sections. Most of them make the game play much better (bombs mapped to the right stick, telipods for extra check points, rifle to use in the 2D sections to shot horizontal while running, ect) while one feels sadly out of place and slows the 2D sections down (the aiming teliporting orb).

The levels get better and better as you play more (I'm at level...I think 25-26), so it just gets better the more you play :D.

But, at this point, you played through the first half of the game already (it has 50+ levels) and if you don't like it now, I don't think you will like it latter :(. I say give it more time (about another 6-10 levels) and if you don't like the game, then you just don't like it sadly.

Still, you got it for 'free' (assuming you have PS+ and redeemed it when it went on Plus early this month), so it isn't that big of a loss if you don't like it :).
