Why do I keep getting armour for other classes as rewards in Vanguard strike?

Wish that armors and weapons had a few more unique things about their stats, carrying more max ammo is something I flat out ignore right now, it helps on boss battles but I mainly focus on def and light, everything else can sit to one side and I get on fine.
Titans need to feel more like a tank then they currently do, our defense is little to none better then anyone else.

You die very, very fast. 2 shots from a sniper or a grenade hit and your toast. I jumped into a Heroic Strike yesterday thinking i was fine after wrecking the heroic Daily quest and having no real issues with the Vanguard Strikes.

So motes of life only use are for vanity stuff from the speaker guy? Reading stuff about them I thought there was some sort of gear from it as well.

Sorry, I'm sure this has been asked a dozen times, but I can't find it. How do I set my fire team to joinable or public on Xbox One? This game feels so lonely at times
Hm, ended today with a level 23 in all blues so that's nice. Going to finish capping Vanguard marks tomorrow and hope for some nice drops.

I got lucky tonight and got two coins from blue engrams.

I still think that's cool, personally. It forces you to look into various communities, meet people, and group up. Not all of that has to be in-game.

Is there any difference to selecting strikes by going to the planet than the Vanguard playlist?
It's an odd thing knowing games similar to Destiny have created, now standard, features to help group people together and Bungie completely ignores them. There's always Destiny 2 or the PC version I suppose.
They can also add it to the current game down the road. That'd be nice.

Also, the tank aspect is the other skill tree on the subsclass, if you want to be the bulletsponge you need to set the appropriate subclass.

You go to your actual profile on the xbox and you go to destiny on the right hand side from there and set it from invites required to joinable. If it is joinable it will say set to require invites.
That being said mine is set to this and I haven't been matched up with anyone. It happened once on the beta and that was it!

I didn't realize that about the fire teams. :S
I only found the Weekly Heroic Strike comfortable to do once I had a party that all had a Arc weapon modifiers for Elemental damage go both ways, thankfully) and I was Level 24 (because then you're not getting 1-shot by the likes of the Vandals.)
As for the Strikes Playlist, you get Vanguard reputation and Marks for using the Playlist on top of the Rare items.
A random Exotic Engram from Xur, which could generate a guaranteed Exotic for any of the 3 classes. It's risky, and more expensive than waiting for weeking rollover to see if there's different guaranteed items available. I bought the Sunbreakers today and am now back up to 7 Strange Coins. Roll on next weekend ^_^

Oh I know punching level 16 vex is possible, and that the shield subclass is best to be a tank with the mini overshields and such but it still sucks, maybe i'm expecting too much from this game.
I also have the choices to nearly max out the defense bar in the class tree, doesn't do squat.
Crucible matches, and also farming certain spots with quickly respawning enemy mobs.
The worse thing is Halo 2 had built-in clan lists.
Is it confirmed that legendaries drop more often from Crucible or just anecdotal?

The loot is all rolls of the dice, even finding a purple is still a dice roll to actually get something useful out of it.
You can run a hard level 24 mission with someone and get nothing, you can pvp for 30 minutes and get two purples for losing both matches, the loot RNG is crap.

Good lord 78 deaths? I was done after 7 deaths lol. Knew there was no chance in hell. I'll just come back to it when I have better overall gear and have Arc damage weapons.

How many motes of light do exotic engrams cost?
I've had about 12 Legendary Engrams total (probably 4 from Crucible, 6 from farming Venus, and 2 from the Cryptarch), and only 2 have ended up Legendary gear; the boots I'm currently wearing and Titan gauntlets. Don't get hung up on getting the Engram, get excited when you do actually get Legendary gear.
23 Motes of Light for the random Exotic Engram, 13 Strange Coins for the guaranteed class armour, 23 Strange Coins for the Exotic weapon.
The seller only appears on weekends, and is down next to the Crucible sellers in the Tower.
I should get in on the engram farming before they nerf it.

I didn't even notice that that engram he sold was for motes, not coins. Interesting.
How do you get them so fast? I really want to get the hunter helm before it disappears.
Even after an hour or so of farming, you'll probably get 1 or 2 Legendary Engrams.
Crucible rewards, Strike rewards (the Heroic Strike gives you a guaranteed 3), Rare Engram decryption.

Thats my main issue at the moment. PvE is incredibly unrewarding compared to quick PvP matches. I ran into a dude with a grimoire score of 700 who was wearing 2 legendary items and had an exotic weapon. All from PvP of course. Looked to not have even touched PvE since hitting lv. 5.
And here I was, lv. 20, spent 9 hours in Story missions, 4 hours in Strikes, 4 hours in Patrols, etc. and still wearing some uncommon boots lol.
Best PvE can hope for it seems is this Raid upcoming, but of course the recommended level is 26 sooooo ... good luck getting there via PvE. You can farm Vanguard Marks and Reputation to try and get some of the gear that can be purchased with it, but that will take 30 hours atleast.

I did that for like 3 hours yesterday, and that isn't the only thing to worry about. The secret is defiantly out and the place can get packed.
Guess I'm not lucky since I only got a bunch of blues.
Can you get them from normal strike rewards as well? Don't really have the people to the weekly strike.
When I first tried it yesterday, I got 1 in the first 5 mins...
And the vanguard gear costs more marks than the weekly cap lol
