Did they finally make it so that you can join a dungeon group with the finder that is already in progress? I joined a group that was already at the spider boss on the earth Strike.

I'm having a good time. I've put in an hour or two here and there every day since launch, playing some story but mostly Crucible Control. I just turned level 10 which unlocked a bunch of gear I had stashed.

All in all, I could play Control for the next 100 hours, eventually will get back to starting the moon. I can't even say I'm terribly good at it (I'm a .7 KD on a good day) but I'm liking it.

My biggest complaint has nothing to do with story or content, it's the load screens. The time between the end of a match and the beginning of the next match shouldn't be long enough for me to heat up a Hot Pocket and hit the bathroom and still see ships landing on the next map when I sit down again.

Where do you buy exotic engrams from mote of light ? The only thing I can by from the speaker are cosmetics....

Xur, Agent of the Nine. He's a special vendor that appears only on weekends. He's in the same room as Lord Shaxx and currently sells an exotic engram for 23 motes of light, and class armors for 13 strange coins (Hunter helm, Titan and Warlock gloves).

wahoo! A buddy of mine has been asking me to find a pic.
I want to see though too they look BA

I need one last strange coin, is there a place where I can get one like in Mars where its a certainty? What other places can I obtain them?

Reached level 20 and started some strikes and I like that I'm getting better and better gear all the time. Like it seems that the higher I am the more rare stuff I get instead of pointless random garbage.

Though strikes are boring as fuck, the mission design in the game is just awfully repetitive

Just had a 16 kill streak on Control. God damn when this game flows, it flows.

There are still quite a bit locked? On earth in Russia there is Kings Something and another place, with a J?

They're in some tunnels. What's funny, is if you're playing with some one not in your team they will disappear near these areas.

Speaking of blocked off areas, was anyone else able to find the ghost in that bunker area of earth?

What? Strikes give upgrade item? o_O

All I have been getting is pure tosh that I need break down to parts, no gear progression at all for few days now. Thanks RNG loot that is worse than D3 vanilla!

:(

I've played for about five hours. I'm level Six, about to ding level 7. Finally played four Crucible control matches last night - was top 3 on my team all three times; lost all four games. Fun.

Anyway, never played the beta, but holy shit is this a step down from Halo. Never played the Alpha or Beta; here are my impressions:

The good:

Super tight control. This is what Bungie does best. They're one of the very, very few developers that can make enjoy FPS controls on a console. They nail it here, too. The cursor goes where I expect it to most the time, and every button does what it should - though, I do think the D-pad is a little wasted.

The art design is solid; but a bit uninspired. It's pretty, but I'm not seeing anything I've never seen before (unlike the first Halo, where every new level was awe-inspiring).

Voice acting isn't quite as bad as people made it out to be.

First couple maps in multi: I can already tell they're well laid out, and have that nice Bungie touch to them.

I like being able to customize my character.

The bad:

Everything else.

The story is absolute garbage thus far. There are blatant or hidden loading screens everywhere. I'm at the very beginning of the game, and every mission is already exactly the same: Shoot shoot shoot, let the talking box scan something, hold your position or kill a bullet-sponge boss. Repeat. And do it again for levels, I guess?

The actual controls are tight, but the encounters are garbage. The A.I. is dumb as bricks, and there's no strategy. Every.single.encounter. is shoot shoot, get hit, duck for cover, reload health and your gun. Rinse repeat. Shoot shoot. Shoot shoot. Duck. Reload.

Shoot shoot. Duck. Reload.

Shoot shoot. Jump. Shoot. Run away. Get your health back. Reload.

Shoot. Get your health back.

Shoot. Reload.

Switch gun. Shoot. Shoot. Duck for cover. Reload.

I mean - where is the intense encounters from Halo? Where did they go? Grunts running around, Jackals with shields that certain guns diffused. Hoping on an enemy's vehicle. Being surrounded all around you and having to out-flank multiple groups. It's all... just completely absent.

But my biggest issue. My biggest, number one problem:

WHERE THE HELL ARE THE SOCIAL FEATURES. If I showed this game to someone 10 years ago on the original Xbox on LIVE, everyone would ask why no one is talking. Why everything is restricted. It just... isn't fun when you're not making friends or talking trash.

So far, I'd give it a 6/10. I'd give Halo 1 a 9/10, Halo 2 a 10/10. I'd give Halo 3 and 8. Reach a 7. ODST a 7.

I'd give 343's Halo 4 a 7.0 for what it's worth.

ok thansk ! so, whos up for that lvl 28 strike ? :) 5 modifiers seems.... intense.

Man, I'm so indecisive. Just started a hunter after getting a Titan to 9 and warlock to 7. That blade move seems too cool to pass up, but warlocks have such badass coats and titans seem to have the best end game move set. Maybe I'll stick with hunter now, finally lol.

That doesn't come until level 20. Everything hurts and is trying actively to kill you at that point.

I've gotta say, the bullet sponge bosses really make grinding the strikes a tedious chore. As a long time MMO player, I have no issue with grinds, and even can enjoy them, but the strikes in this game are a testament to tedium.

I'm level 18 and haven't even finished the moon story yet because the rest of my fire team aren't here this week and I don't want to get ahead of them. Will it be ruined for me by being too high a level when I eventually play it? I've made another character just in case

Yeah, same here sort of. I'm level 22 trying to do level 24 heroics so maybe that's why they're so spongey, but it's annoying as all hell.

Yeah I've rolled a hunter that I'm leveling now after going Warlock at launch. Was running the earth Strike and I just didn't have the will to finish it again. Each boss takes about as long as the entire dungeon should.
