I leveled really quickly by doing crucible bounties.

Do bounties. They usually reward you with 2500+ XP for completing them. And killing enemies while doing the bounties do add up. It's also a great way to level up new gear. Just equip them before turning in the bounties and you'll probably unlock an upgrade or two.

you don't buy the emblem, you buy the class item (ex. Titan Mark) and then wear that to start leveling.

I've put a lot of hours into this game since Tuesday (I played it for 10 hours alone yesterday evening through to the very early hours today!), and I just finished all of the Story missions on Mars. My character (Hunter) is Lv 21.

I absolutely love the game, its a brilliant shooter that feels fantastic to play in typical Bungie style, and playing everything in co-op is a delight. It's exactly the sort of game I was looking to play. Looking through Polygon's 6/10 review makes me wonder if I was playing the same game as them.

Anyway, having a break for a bit now to eat and rest, will then tackle the two Mars Strikes this evening.

Yup

They're kind of legendary-er. The effects are more pronounced. The armour pieces also give more light than normal legendary items too so they're clearly top tier.

Now that I have 100 marks for both Vanguard and Crucible for the week, I'm a bit lost as to what to do besides wait for next week for the cap to reset. I suppose I can just rep grind patrol missions butt hat seems a bit dull.

Yep. I haven't actually seen any exotics besides the creeper vendor that sells it on the weekend.

I love how lower level enemies scale to you too. The damage you do scales but the damage they do doesn't.

Makes you feel powerful but keeps the fights a little bit interesting still.

Just got my second legendary. Got 2 legendary engrams when farming on Venus and got lucky with one. Now I've got a legendary for both my primary and secondary and both are the weapons I use most.

What's with the enemies that are half your level with a yellow bar and take hardly any damage? I'm level 19 and saw a level 8 in a cave. Called Onyx or something. 5 rockets, full fusion rounds and half my rare scout rifle later he finally died.

HOW!? I wish there was a reliable way to farm coins. I HATE PVP, but it seems like that's the only way to do it. And even then it's all about getting lucky almost a dozen times with the RNG so you can save up enough of them. I REALLY want those gauntlets =(

The latter game really gets so much better after 20 it's crazy plus after you hit 20 why stop you got 10 more levels to go.
