I love it. I have a helm that has the unique ability where I gain super energy when killing enemies with a Grenade.
Thing is, that seems to apply to explosions in general. When I fire a rocket into a crowd, I notice my super energy jumping up a good clip.
This happened to a public event I was in. Trying to clear out these excavator (?) dudes, I was picking them off one at a time. Then a high level titan rolls in, does this big from the skies diving area smash, and clears the entire place out in a moment.
I stood there wearing short shorts and just watched the hulk bound off into the distance.

kind of bums me out i'm waaaaaay higher level then i should be from replaying things with friends that are lower level and being that guy that has the trivial fight with epic bosses.

Yeah. My ghost was still in dialogue and I was starting to pick off the smaller guys around me to thin out the crowd. I turned around and the big dude was dead. I think I'd turn off the interactions with other players in story missions if I could, at least for the first story playthrough.
Yeah, that straight up sucks. I guess they expected you to make a different character to play with your friends, which is a stupid assumption to make.
That's... not how pvp works at all.
Get a shotgun or a fusion rifle and go one shot people all you want.

So this afternoon (thanks to tsefon! Hey tsefon! Destiny EU 2 4 EVA) I finished the story, got past level 20 and played my first level 22 strike. I was fireteam leader and didn't realise I'd selected the wrong one! So no big rewards for us
But...just to be total fangirly about this, I think this game's a marvel. I love arcade games and this to me seems like the most arcade-y shooter I've ever played. It's just pure twitch and keeping a cool head. I love it! I really feel like the reviews missed the point of this game (e.g. Arthur Gies (who I quite like tbh) complaining about the length of time the super takes to charge (orbs of light, sir!)). I really think the game does an utterly crap job of explaining itself to you, though. You shouldn't have to go to wikis to work out how levelling past 20 works and how factions work.
I also think it's totally fair that the game feels very much like a prologue. It's odd, in a way. But at the same time, I can't think of another AAA game that's given me so many frequent adrenalin jolts and that feeling of blissful relief when you finally take down a gigantic baddie.
So...um...yeah. Love this game, despite all the valid criticisms.

At what point is it safe to go exploring? Or, in a more general sense, how much exploration is there to be done? I went down a random bunker once on Earth and a dude with an ominous "???" level met me about 10 steps in, shot almost a full clip into his face without knocking any appreciable part of his health bar down.
this. i dont think i've ever loved a game that obviously still has so much potential to be loads better. hopefully bungie really will be expanding on it in meaningful ways both with dlc and patches

Might have been a heavy weapon, those things will pretty much obliterate you in seconds. I've been taken down by a level 4 pretty quickly and I'm a level 21 so it seems pretty equal so far.

Since we can only use one exotic weapon at a time, I decided to go with Hard Light. I use it way more often, and it's really good. I wish I could trade the rocket launcher for some strange coins, lol.Who is that In your avatar, it's been annoying me for ages lol I know the face but can't put a name to her
Do you have to set this to hard or can you still get the drops on normal?
