Saw a Titan rocking the Aurora Blur shader. Dude looked like Onslaught from the Marvel Comics.

Possibly the most badass thing I've ever seen.

Hit level 18, hopped in a fireteam for a Salvage run and ended up in my first strike, the Venus one.

StunWar spent pretty much the whole thing resurrecting my weak ass.

But I ended up with a blue armor set and rifle.

Seriously. Best game.

I feel like they need to double the vanguard rep earned for strike playlist, considering how long they take, you could get 50 rep in the same amount of time doing crucible

I'm really don't get the complaints that things take too long to earn. Vanguard, reputation and crucible marks let you set some long term goals for playing, rather than get you everything great in first two weeks.

I'm in love with the RNG in this game, especially in crucible. Just cause I crushed everyone RNG means even new players have incentive to stay in for loot grabs they may improve their games.

I love that encrypted engrams can go up or down when decrypting.

I love no map vote. Ensures the small maps aren't constantly voted over and over like in BLOPS with nuke town.

Maybe it's cause I play lots of f2p games like COC, BF and PAD, but the fact that long terms players of destiny will he rewarded for their time commitments excites me.

Hope they don't change a thing unless it's something like public events that actually do bring players together in open spaces.

So a friend and I ar going to do the weekly tomorrow, we need one more person. LVL 22 at least, but message me if you're interested. We'll be communicating through skype, but that's not required if you don't want to do it.

I like blind watch for control, people just need to learn already that A is garbage, and it actually hurts you to get it. Get B and C and defend between them and you'll win very time but every game some genius extends to A and boom, you are fucked over.

"hey you're loosing, let me spawn you from the furthers point away from what you need"
That's what I mean. The map is lopsided.

Been getting disconnected a lot today. Usually it's been fine. Twice it's happened near the end of a mission. It's making me not want to play.

If it took you a half hour to kill the tank...

Ideally, it should take no more than 5-10 minutes. When I finished the weekly heroic, my team and I finished it rather quickly (Arc weapons helped out A LOT; though the prior section took over 15 minutes and many retries). You and your fire team need to be properly geared up. Your weapons' attack rating may be too low if it takes half an hour.

After you get 4 Legendary Engrams and every single one of them is just a rare (blue) item, tell me that you love it again.

No idea. Probably reserved for stuff that'll show up later. There are a lot of areas that scream hidden content.

What's your cryptarch level? I was told that the higher the level, the greater probability that you get the best gear. If you aren't high enough, don't decode them until you are. I'm still not high enough, so I'm holding onto them.

Starting to get sick of the Supers. Its 50% of my deaths and probably my kills as well. I just mash and shank whatever I see.

The map rotation sucks as well. I've gotten Blind Watch and Twilight the most. I like Shores of Time the most. Its good in any mode. Burning Shrine was pretty good in Salvage.

Yup, an engram should never be lower quality than the colour you get. This is going to drive players mad. Also not a huge fan of light levels seeing how slow it is to get an upgrade. It's like they tried to do diablo 3 paragon levels but really just fucked it up bad.

Special ammo seems to be too plentiful in pvp (same issue we had in beta) where shotguns and fusion riflles are one hit kills and no point of ever needing your real weapon. Those fusion rifles need to be taken down a bit, at least shotguns cant be used at long range.

If it took you a half hour to kill the tank...

The eye/orb and the tank together, felt like it. I don't know what they could have done to make it more underwhelming. A dumb, huge static bullet sponge that spawns cannon fodder at intervals. And here's a second one in case you didn't feel so satiated with the first, no content between the two either.

Well almost level 26. I LOVE my BLADEDANCER!

Level 5. I just got there this morning, got a Legendary 'Care Package' fron the Postmaster for it, opened it, got a Blue Engram and a Purple Engram. Decoded the Purple Engram and got a Blue quality Helmet that was worse than what I was already wearing.

-_-

.
I mostly agree with this except that the raid starts Tuesday and you need to be level 26 for it. I wish they started with a lower level raid and bumped them up as the weeks/months went on.

The weird thing is I did it earlier today and just now, and noticed I for sure got marks this time. I wonder.

Hmm weird. I'll run it a couple times later to test it out. That would probably be the easiest/fastest way to get Vanguard marks if you keep getting them.

I actually got purples from the care package. But they were for titan and warlock. These other two classes have gotten purples yet ive had to buy my own gear for my hunter. RNG is gonna RNG

Kilgoreisdead is out of this world, TLOU or Destiny, It's really a pleasure to play with you. Such a humble but awesome player.
Thank you for this last Destiny game.

This is essentially what's going to happen. Yes the raid opens on Tuesday but you don't have to start attempting it the very first day. Once people start raiding, they'll theoretically be earning gear that will give them even higher levels, presumably in preparation for stuff coming in the expansions. I say theoretically because I haven't seen the gear available in the raid so I don't know for sure.

I owe an apology to DestinyGAF for opening pondering how in the shit you leveled up so quickly. I lurked this post the second day of Destiny's release and someone hit level 20 already. I wondered how in the shit did this poster do this?
I reached level 5 in two hours. *struggle sighs*

I'm playing as both a Titan and a Hunter. When do Hunters unlock cloaks? I'm only playing for the cloak and the invisibility. My titan is slow as shit and it creeps me out.

I'm Furyous on PSN by the way.

Where's explore mode from the beta?

I figured out my main gripe (I've played this game for merely three and a half hours) with this game. Where are all the statistics? Borderlands kept score of everything we did. I'm not buying PSN+ so what do I have to look forward to as far as in-game content? I don't feel as bad about not being able to do strikes because there's no voice chat.

Everyone nailed the mission structure layout perfectly.

Why is the Nexus good for grinding? I thought it's only level 14 unless you get it randomly through vanguard playlist. I'm missing something here.

Not for me. Normal raid level 26 hard raid level 30. Need some max level shit to do.

It's not going away so whether you can do it at level 20 or 26 just means take a little longer to prepare. If you want to play it fresh stay away from spoilers and get with a group of first timers when it happens.

I'm almost level 21 but I'm still rocking some blue weapons for moon strike. That won't do for raiding. Need some purple shit and I need it leveled. By the time I hit 26 I expect to be better prepaired.

My opin doe.

After having just done the weekly heroic strike I'm kind of baffled that there is no matchmaking, it wasn't exactly difficult and I can't think of any reason they wouldn't allow matchmaking other than thinking you would need a team of people communicating.

nexus is good as you get a decent amount of engrams and you get both blue, green and some legendary drops.

Played my first competitive matches today, WTF with the Anouncer Accent!? So off-putting-pretentious

I realize we are all here nerds in some way, but Bungie needs a style adivsor. Every piece of fiction in this game is overly nerdy, not cool, is just dorky and annoying.

Are the crucible control point marks hard for anyone to see? It's either that or people don't understand what the icons mean and wait till the announcer says something to move. Same with the minimap and knowing where enemies are coming from.

Also, I still hate the moon man, its pure garbage and now i just leave it instantly

Yeah I guess we'll see. I've had plenty of blue to green but not legendary.

Grind games by their very nature are torturous affairs. You have to be wiling and wanting to take some punishment to stick with it.

Engrams downgrading one more layer of the pain. Same with receiving dupes. Huge complaint in pad and bf when you can spend 5 dollars for one pull the rare gacha.

Anything that makes it harder can in theory enhance the experience. If it's happening to you it's happening to others.
