What's the relationship between the attack and impact stats on weapons? Because I just got a sniper rifle with the tiniest impact stat and also the highest attack stat.
 
Sorry if this has been covered (this thread is so long, and I searched), but do we know exactly how raid lockouts will work yet?


I've played Warcraft (and other MMOs), I understand the idea of a weekly raid lockout. But I'm wondering which of the following we'll get:

Type A: When you run a raid, you're assigned a raid ID. For that week, you can only run with people that have that raid ID. If you kill 2 bosses, then pull in someone that has no raid ID assigned, they get your raid ID and miss out on the first 2 bosses. (vanilla WoW worked this way)
Type B: If you do a raid and kill 2 bosses, you can then run with any group that has already killed the first 2 bosses. If they have also killed the 3rd, you miss out on it by joining their raid group. (I think WoW worked like this for a short time, I could be mistaken)
Type C: You can run any raids any number of times with any group of people. You only get rewarded for the first kill of a boss in any given week. (The way WoW currently works)


I have a group of friends that will be interested in trying raids, but I don't think they have any idea what kind of time and scheduling commitment they're going require. Also, I'm probably not going to be geared for the raid when it comes out, and they're all pretty far behind me. I'm hoping Destiny uses Type C, so I can find a more serious group to get my raiding done, and then help my friends out as well in a different group.
 
After levelling my Warlock to LV 20, I'm going back t my LV 22 Titan. I'm not a fan of the Warlock's abilities.

I'll try to level up my LV1 Hunter next weekend, probably, and see how it goes.

Yeah it's really dumb. This 'social experience' is just too overwhelming for me.

I think we'd be better off making a new sub clan list at this point given how every sub only has like 30 members.

Where's explore mode from the beta?

I figured out my main gripe (I've played this game for merely three and a half hours) with this game. Where are all the statistics? Borderlands kept score of everything we did. I'm not buying PSN+ so what do I have to look forward to as far as in-game content? I don't feel as bad about not being able to do strikes because there's no voice chat.

Everyone nailed the mission structure layout perfectly.

I got my first cloak maybe 2 hours into the game.

Explore mode is now called Patrol.

Statistics can be viewed through Bungie.net or the smartphone app. Yeah, I wish we could see stats and Grimoire info in-game.

There is voice chat with fire team members, and you are required to have a fire team to do Strikes. There's just no public chat in the Tower or when you're out doing story missions.

Without PS+, all you can do is story missions. But you're missing out on PVP and Strikes/Raid, which is a huge chunk of the Destiny experience. Also, Bungie is introducing a bunch of new events involving those modes.
 
I've been farming Venus and in around 2 hours I got around 20 blue emblems and tons of green. Finally got myself to 23! And I got a legendary piece for a hunter... as a Titan

It's really easy to get leveled up quickly: PVP. You get like half an experience bar a game if you do decent, and half an experience bar per bounty. I was level 15 my first day playing.

The announcer is awesome and sounds like a Knight from the round table
A lot better than 'killatacular/killamajaro'

With that said, anyone down to run the daily strikes and story quests later, I'm trying to hit level 22

Blade Dancer is amazing btw... Its just fury and death

That's surprising. I did it for about an hour and a half and only got around 6 blue engrams, though I did managed to get 2 legendary engrams as well.

If your teammates drop out of a Strike... shouldn't it match up some randoms? Like... fast?
Two strikes in a row someone dropped out and it was 5-10 minutes before someone new came in. Just now I did a Strike and my team dropped out at the very start and I played solo right until the last boss and it never added anyone the whole time. I had to quit because it was too hard to solo.
 
What is this Nexus farming you guys speak of?

Also any strategies to get strange coins? I have 7 and those Titan gauntlets are amazing. Need 5 more!
 
Every weapon feels the same, regardless if they're exotic or not. Exotics should at least have some cool quirks like some of the legendary weapons in Borderlands. I'm not saying go over-the-top, but at least have the weapons not sound the same. They got lazy here and I hope it's something they address in future installments.

What's your race? Cause your eyes are blue. I'm a human, and it's green for the helmet. And it doesn't matter what color your eyes are because mine are red but the Helmet is green.

Had an amazing Skirmish match just now. B.net doesn't show the team scores for some reason, but the enemy team was five points away from winning -- they could have sneezed and gotten the victory. But we went ballistic on them and squeaked out a win. Felt so satisfying.
