PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | September 2014

Danganronpa is the Phoenix Wright game I've always wanted. Definitely one of the best games on the Vita.

I'd second this. Phoenix Wright is good, but I always feel like I don't have any attachment to the characters. Danganronpa is, on the other hand, make you care for their characters even if they are murderers (not all of them. DR2 is better than DR1 in this regard, imo).

And the twists. Holy shit at those twists. Once it happened, I can't put the games down.

Erm....I know it's not the date yet, but buy Ar noSurge. The Ar tonelico franchise deserves to be played since I considered it's one of the best JRPG back in the PS2 days (no, not Qoga which is on the PS3).

There's a Package Installer that allows you install drm free things from other region.... like demos and app. Chance to get japanese apps....

or wait for Plus version to be localized...if ever.

Freedom Wars hype > FIFA 15 on Amazon.it

It will get localized, but like all Atelier Vita titles, it'll have a full-price DD-only release.
I have a good feeling about the Dusk trilogy.

The strange thing is that it's up for pre-order on Amazon.it already but not on Amazon.de. Not even two months left and neither Amazon nor Gamestop nor other big online game stores have it for pre-order here in Germany... Has nobody told them that there will be a retail edition after all?

So now that more of you chaps and ladies experienced the sexiness that is Monokuma
What did you think of DanganRonpa 1?
Feel free to use spoiler tags for the sake of those nearing the end of the game~
Beat chapter 1 and I think I'm done playing for good. I got other games to play.

What didn't you like about chapter 1? If it was how obvious the killer was, I'd say keep playing since that's essentially a tutorial trial.

If it's the general presentation, dialogue, gameplay, etc, then yeah, no reason to waste your time playing a game you don't like.

Just wait, it went up just today or maybe yesterday on amazon.it, they're slowly adding it.

I had that feeling too, until games like WO3U and SW4 went DD-only for the Vita.
TK europe is pushing for physical releases for the series, maybe they'll start with Ayesha since it's a new trilogy and, supposedly, the only Ayesha with dual audio so there's a chance.

Wow, it's the first time I read something like this. What's wrong?

I'll believe it when I see it. As much as the Vita is getting lots of games from KT, they're mostly DD-only releases. I have nothing against it, but a lot of people still do.

Well, the first chapter of DR1 does treat you like you're brain dead. Dropping the game at chapter 1 because of that would be a huge mistake, though.

Danganronpa 2 finished. I feel sad, although I needed to do it in order to keep studying for my exams.
Great game. Dive logic is the worst minigame IMO (mean difficulty), but the story, characters, etc... are worth giving it a try. Now I think I will just play lighter games and Steins;Gates plus others will have to wait.

Where would you find these drm free app anyway?

Also, could this lead to bans/reactions?

You can find them using Sony's webstore apparently. You need a custom script that gives you links to downloads for the ones in your download list. Some people are sharing them on several sites since they are "free" though.

Danganronpa is the Phoenix Wright game I've always wanted. Definitely one of the best games on the Vita.

Danganronpa is like Pheonix Wright if Phoenix Wright had mindblowingly awful gameplay. I do agree the overall presentation, story and characters are better though. It's a testament to how good those aspects of the game are that I still want to keep playing despite how much I hate the gameplay. Finished chapter 4 today. The twists just keep on coming! I love it. It really is a shame about the gameplay though. Could have been the perfect package without such shitty minigames.

Hmm to buy Metal Gear Solid or Rogue Legacy...played both and loved them but I want both for the Vita. Only one for right now so no "why not both?" lol

Finallyyy getting a Vita later this month.

I'm so lost on what games to get though, pretty sure there's more to Vita than just Persona/Danganronpa

Oh, there is a lot more to the Vita than just those games. A lot more. I own over 100 Vita games, not counting PSP, PSM, Mini and PSOne Classics.

You use google search or just ask anyone in the thread to PM you. Or create your account and transfer.

and no.

Thanks. I used the script but the only thing I wanted to try (Sumioni's demo, as the game never released here in europe) for some reason doesn't appear :/

Oh well. I'm downloading Rayman Legends jpn demo(it's the only interesting one I found)

Man, you keep repeating it every day, you must really hate it.
Let's say that PW is like DR if DR had mindblowingly absent gameplay.
If by absence of gameplay you mean absence of shitty minigames then I agree. And yes I really do hate it. Games with bad gameplay stand out and piss me off more when the package surrounding it is so good. If the rest of the game sucked I'd stop playing and shut up about it.

Sumioni is on the European Playstation store, no demo though. It was initially not available everywhere, but for example my country which was excluded now has the game.

I've browsed the Vita store at least twice in the last week but I didn't see it...I guess it's not out here :/

edit: it's up on the webstore...what the...will check later on the Vita store.

Well, Vita games requires some specific tastes, so it's kinda hard to recommend without knowing what kind of games you like. For starter I would say:

Ys Celceta
Both Danganronpa
Tearaway
Sword Arts Online
Neptunia Rebirth
Demon's Gaze

That's the retail games I could remembers off my mind right now.

Wow, that's great. Running Nico Nico on my Vita right now :D

This too, and the japanese flickr app just in case and will be the first one to be updated if it breaks again. Also great for anyone that wants to try Freedom Wars ,PSNova, Miku 2nd SSD demos etc.

Are the GTA PSP titles worth it from the current sale? I heard that the LC/VC stories have slow down. Does that make them still not worth it at their asking price?($5/$2.5) What about China Town Wars??

If you like smaller games and haven't played them I would like to recommend:

Stealth inc
Guacamelee
The swapper
Hotline Miami
Olliolli
Velocity 2x
Spelunky
Rogue legacy
Don't starve
Child of light
Stick it to the man
Fez
Terraria
Castle storm
Motorstorm RC
Limbo
Urban trial freestyle
Thomas was alone
Mutant blobs attack

If you don't like smaller games or have already played all of them, these are the "bigger" games that I have enjoyed:

TWD
Strangers wrath
Gravity rush
Rayman origins
Virtues last reward
Toukiden
Soul sacrifice delta
Metal gear collection
Killzone mercenary
BL2
Injustice
FFX

I have also enjoyed games that everyone else seems to hate:

Uncharted: fight for fortune
Batman blackgate
Gow collection
Starlight Inception
Jak collection
Playstation allstars
Kickbeat
Epic Mickey 2
Metrico
Dustforce

I hope this helps :)

I'm so mad I won't be able to play DR2 on Monday, after spending almost two months without touching my Vita because of my bar exam. Fucking customs, goddamnit.

So I can put netflix and crunchy roll on my EU Vita, what do I lose by doing this?

Can anyone help me track down Wizardry: Town of Forsaken Spirits on the JPSN? Just to know what to look for?

I think it's time to import.
(This would be the sequel to Labyrinth of Lost Souls.)

So.. Sony doesn't care (I am all digital with over 80 native Vita games)?

From a user standpoint, you're not technically doing anything wrong - the app you use to do it is on your Vita already, just hidden from view. It also doesn't allow piracy, so it's not really a threat to Sony in any way at this point.

I'd say you're pretty damn safe from repercussions.
