Fuck. I was on the moon and an event popped up. Missed it because the way point was funny, I fell in the hell mouth and time to join expired.

Anyone want to play the Xbox One story with me? I'm level 6 right now and have a mic, located on the east coast. Add me my gamertag is xrobsx

What's the best way to get more light?

Also, is there any reason to go with one of the clans instead of Vanguard? Or do you get points for both?

dunno why people hate the last level. easily my favorite, and compared to the rest of the game it's a league ahead. if there were 12 levels with that structure and caliber and a better story behind the game it would have been incredible. then again, you can't do much with the trite lore in Destiny. Right back to cringe-worthy dialog afterwards.

oh, and you can tell Marty had nothing to do with the last level.
the way the audio was played in the final fight was so tacky. was like a playlist of destiny music

The length for that one was pretty good. If you subtract the time spent getting to the Darkness zone, most missions are less than 10 minutes. For a shooter, I don't know what convinced the designers to not aim for half hour to 45 minute missions. Even Borderlands nails that for its main quest line missions.

And of course my legendary engrams turn into materials and blue shit worst than what I have. The fucking loot system is really turning me off. How can I increase my level and go after the harder stuff to increase my level to go after harder stuff if I CANT INCREASE MY LEVEL IN THE FIRST FUCKING PLACE.

Yes. I MAD.

I really earned my sunbreakers. Level 26 strike with arc damage at level 24 was brutal. The people who helped me were great. They really showed some skill during the strike. Sunsinger warlock saved our asses multiple times. I'm gonna start working on sunsinger soon. Just got one more thing to unlock with void walker

Yooo that was me lol. Had a lot of fun playing with you and the other dude. That strike was crazy hard!

My cousin is the sunsinger class and the amount of times he has self res'd himself to save us in PvE and to help in PvP 3 on 3's has been ... a lot.

They seem really good, no one expects you to respawn on the spot and shoot them in the back.

It would be nice if some classes which help support their team had a more obvious notice going with it, for example playing as a defender no one knows that walking into my shield will give them an overshield, if the bubble was blue instead of purple at least then people would know.
This is very helpful. Thanks. Any other people have experience with sun singer? Debating which route to take

Jesus, the story is completely crap. I beat the game, apparently. I dunno what would set the final stage apart. Its the same as the first level, or any level for that matter. You only get some extra repeat bullet sponges.

Xbox owners should not worry about the Ps4 content by the way. Dust Palace fucking sucks. Its full on Dinklebot and not really exciting. The boss was sort of harmless, just took long.

I don't know what Strike I enjoyed the most. Perhaps Nexus and the Mars one with the Tank. Winter Run was perhaps the worst.

So does anyone know exactly what Cryptarch rank does? I don't seem to get any higher quality engrams from the vendor, does it increase the rarity of engrams that drop from enemies/chests? Or is it just the bonus engrams from ranking up?

I just got to lvl 20! Anyone have any guides, walkthroughs, etc. that gives me an idea about where to farm and what items are possible from farming. This thread is too big to find that stuff lol.

Yeah, in about two hours probably. Stay on until I get the last coin.

awesome, I got 2 from farming the Nexus. We can try that or PVP would probably be the best bet. Or try and run the strike again. I'll will help you in your quest, guardian.

My Titan now!

i like that the mission starts in a public space, but once it's in a private space the "main mission" should begin, which should last you half an hour minimum. it gives a meaning to the story and at the same time facilitates those crossroads interactions in the beginning. On my way to the mission, I encountered a public event and joined a few guardians doing their own thing. That's the beauty of Destiny, but Bungie rarely taps into that potential.

Speaking of meeting other guardians, why do they always check me out when I'm standing still?

anyone else notice more public events happening. been in like 4 or 5 today, moon, earth and venus. i almost did one on the moon all by myself till someone finally showed up. i'm glad these are happening more.

I really really hate the loot system. I'm so damn tired of my legendary engrams turning into uncommon items. Other classes items I can handle cause it would mean I won't spend much time farming for their stuff. But being given an uncommon item after god knows how long you spent trying to get the engram just fucking blows.

The beauty of Destiny is hindered by the fact that the story missions aren't like you said (structured once the Darkness Zones begin -- in fact, the Darkness Zones should be places the public can't get to ever so that way major changes to environments can happen but also because once you start a story mission and finish it, the game takes you back into orbit. Either story and patrol should have been completely separated or they should have been integrated together within the same planet, not this weird form of both that doesn't work at all). It's so bizarre, really. I can't even begin to comprehend the stupid when you have to literally leave a planet from completing a story mission to only have to arrive on that very same planet within almost the exact same place to start another story mission on that planet. I think story planets and patrol planets would have been a cool idea (story planets obviously no one could explore and major change -- including that planet being destroyed -- could happen whereas patrol planets would just be for exploration and grouping).

Personally, i'd argue that there's no real difference in the cryptarch level beyond it's cut off limitation (cant decrypt greens until level 2, etc), if drops are predetermined from the moment they drop then there would be a correlation more towards the level of the player.

So in my view, leveling up cryptarch does nothing to the identification of engrams, but is perceived as such as in the process of leveling him up the player is advancing in levels themselves, thus obtaining higher quality drops.
