DestinyGAF Titans - are you guys using Aftermath or Death from Above? Death from Above gets the style points, but aiming seems iffy and its not its usefulness is limited when there's low ceilings or you don't have time to jump.
Those of you using Death from Above, whats the trick to aiming? I either seem to drop straight down or I end up shorting my target. Do i need to hold the button and aim high?

Man alive, salvage feels unbalanced. It's wayyyyy easier to let the other team deploy the probe, clear them out, and shut it down than it is to deploy and defend for 45 seconds. They really need to make shutting the other team's probe down take like 20 seconds or something
the points you get for securing easily trump the points you get for stopping them. you're playing the long way
I mean I'm alright but I'm more of a team leader and go in first capture/plant the bomb dude not the 4:1 KDR guy.
I get Exotics are the highest tier but at least give a choice of grinding it out in PVE/PvP.

Ok so these Spin Metal, Relice Iron, Spirit Bloom or Helium Coils, are they only used for reputation gain? If so, can you use these items for every faction?
No, you need them to level legendary/exotic items. It's not worth it to trade them in for Vanguard rep. The fastest way to gain reputation is to do Patrol missions on planets. Look for the circle with the star in it -- those missions are single assassination, and are worth 25 reputation, instead of the 10 reputation that the other missions give.
Yeah I'd also like to know what the Spin Metal etc. is for, it's in a category labelled "Materials" in my inventory, is there/is there going to be crafting in this game?

No. They're used for weapon/armor upgrading too (and preferably since the reputation gain is kind of a rip off considering the other ways to go about increasing it).
Its not worth it at all to trade in the 40 spinmetal for a measly rep boost and small amount of glimmer.

Yeah, but it's wayyyy harder to defend. Not impossible, but it's just much easier and safer to try and take it down

Yeah. I guess just try to go in with teams and hope that your team mates defend you well enough to keep that K/D reasonable.
the pay off is huge though.
if you slug it out never trying to actually take one of your own, you're putting yourself in a position where they only need one cap to win. its just like control. you don't need to nail every objective but it'd make your life a hell of a lot easier.

Yes, when you have the Share menu opened, you can go into settings and set it to the easy screenshot setting.

Largely for grenade spam, but also for the extra toughness. If it's a room full of regular baddies I try not to use it unless enemies are grouped together so I can spam grenades and kill as many people as possible to make a bunch of orbs for my teammates. Use the regular grenade for this.
If I'm fighting a boss I switch the grenades to the sticky, then I spam sticky grenades and bullets at the boss, do a decent amount of damage.
Patrol misions and bounties are the best way to get vanguard rep, I can't ever tell if I'm also getting marks from bounties but I probably am as I doubt I have 70+ from only doing strikes and patrol as I haven't done that many strikes.

Nah, I've eaten many a shotgun shell or fusion rifle salvo while being centimeters away from stabbing.

easily the hardest offensive ult to use in the whole game and its extremely limited. requires an actual plan to use if the intent is to get more than two kills. also, its orb generation is utterly pathetic and is absolutely the worst by far out of all subclasses.
Do it. Got 2 in 20 mins and got those two items I posted earlier from it.
Don't forget Titan/Warlock one-hit melee attacks x.x that's always nice.

Just watched a guy slice through 4 of us with super speed. So damn annoying. lol. It doesn't help that Im not proficient with shotguns for fusion rifles
