PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | September 2014

Everyone has a 64 GB card but me. Maybe I'll get one when I have a PS TV. ...the portable Vita will probably get the larger one though.

Do we still not have compatibility info for PS TV?

Neptunia rebirth is great. Beat playthrough one yesterday. Slightly worse localization, but the "remake system" fixes almost everything I disliked about the old games, Break Damage Limit is just a (hard) setting to toggle after getting the materials instead of a partner skill/certain hardcore rare equips only. And if you have it...why aren't you in the OT

Hi,
This is a strange question, but how many Vita games have demos that give you special items or equipment when you tranfer the demo savegame to the full game version? I just got a new Vita and about 20 various games and I hate missing things. Thanks.

Don't even get me started on that fucking localization, only thing keeping a good game from being great. They better fix that shit on ReBirth 2

It started out perfect but Blanc and Noire are terrible and there's an extreme amount of missing VA. A bunch of combat lines could have been straight reused from Victory and they'd be better (maybe they can't because of NISA though). It's kinda weird they 100% re-recorded Plutia's lines then just gave Peashy Nepgear's lines. Gameplay was almost perfect, so I really hope the localization gets much more love in 2. Original localization of that wasn't great either. Nepgear would say "Processor unit installed" for BOTH HDD transformation quotes half the time, eesh.

So glad New Game + doesn't erase EVERYTHING EVER unlike prior games. Goddamn. They better cut out the "you have less than a full party for 95% of the game" shit out in Victory 2 as well. I know it's too late for Mk2 but that is super annoying. There is almost nothing to do with CC2 or Tekken and they're some of my fav additions.

Glad they bumped the party to 4 for rebirth though. Lategame it becomes hilariously apparent how 3 party members is not enough in Rebirth, partly due to all the people they've added..

Are you talking about the English dub?

Conception 2.

The demo upgrade key only allows access to the base game. If you want Scenario 2 and 3 DLCs too, then it's probably better to buy the Full Pack instead. It contains the base game, Scenario 2 and 3, plus an item that can boost your characters' stats (worth 103yen).

There's no easy way to get that much credit, though. I'm in the US, and only play-asia offers the digital codes for a reasonable price.

Besides, I figure the DLC isn't that special. LoLS' wasn't.

Are you talking about the English dub?

I didn't even remember that Rebirth had an English dub. For games like these I almost always prefer to play in Japanese. As I have said before, I understand very minimal Japanese, so I don't notice bad acting or VA. But with an English dub, I can totally notice when they are phoning it in or doing a bad job and it detracts. Especially for a game like Neptunia, where a lot of the dialogue can either hit and be funny or miss and be cringe worthy, I am glad I played it in a language I didn't understand, so that bad acting wasn't added on top. But when reading the text I can add my own emphasis as my imagination sees fit.

And I know everyone will kill me, but this was my biggest problem with P4G as I have mentioned before. English only, and I didn't love the VA job. For example, Chie always sounded really fake and overacted, and Yukiko had odd emphasis placed in some of her sentences. Obviously fantastic game, but I would've enjoyed it more with Japanese vocals (which I can confirm because I watched the anime in japanese and had none of those problems, had other problems with that though hah).

I can't believe nobody posted the gif yet, though you technically don't have one yet. And yea, as others have said there is so much more to Vita than just those two, but you will always find the most vocal supporters for what are arguably some of the best games on the system.

Anyway, I am another person with over 100 games that I can play on my Vita, so I know just how much the system can offer. Lots of great recommendations already, but if you want to narrow it down could always post your favorite genres or games you enjoyed in the past.

Oh, but vita has not games so too bad
not counting the over a hundred I have already I guess
.

Only problem I'm having now is choosing between the original vita and the slim one.
Didn't even know there were two models until I went to try and order one today..

I'm thinking of going with the original vita, the slim's features are nice but I really don't like how it got rid of the OLED screen.

He shouldn't play Conception 2 though, it's pretty bad

Eh I liked it, I played the first one after beating the second one..
First one is so much better than the second in my opinion. Doubt that one will get localized though.
I have 3 other friends who bought Conception 2 around the same time I did. One of them beat it, and the other two couldn't get past the tedious dungeon crawling. It's not for everyone I guess.

You can't go wrong with either. Just get the cheaper one.

I'd say to go for the new model. The difference between oled and the 2000's lcd is something you'll stop noticing 5 minutes into a game. The increased comfort, buttons, and battery life isn't.

I personally traded in my OLED vita to get the new slim model, and am happy with my decision. The OLED is a nicer screen I suppose, but even playing both models side by side I can barely notice a difference, even with the same game. But I am not very sensitive to stuff like that. The slim though added a lot to increase comfort, including better R and L buttons, a more comfortable form factor, and a smaller rear touch pad (I would occasionally accidentally hit it on my OLED model which was minorly annoying, smaller rear pad solved this for me on the slim). The increased battery life of the new model is nice too, but I always got amazing battery even on my OLED.

In the end I agree with what people above posted, get whichever is cheaper unless the OLED is something you want enough to outweigh all the other benefits of the slim. And put the money difference towards a bigger memory card, you will want one even if you just use it for PS+ games.

Picked up God Eater Burst and DLC in the EU sale. Really enjoying it and even found a cheapish replacement for my dead 64gb card. Any plans for the Vita God Eater Burst 2 to hit our shores?

Nothing on that yet, but the Ps4 Version at least has a good chance. Maybe Bandai will bring the Vita Version over with it, but who knows.

I think it will come to US/EU :). I mean, now there is a Burst version to work with (the one announced at the Pre-TGS show for PS Vita/PS4), so I bet they were saving the localization budget for the 'best' version rather then the base one (I think the reason we didn't see the original GE2 come to US/EU).

I'm betting that it will be announced for localization for NA/EU early next year (along with any other games Namco Bandi plan to bring over to NA/EU) and it will come out at least a few months after the JP comes (or a multi-region release?).

Either way, considering how there is a PS4 version as well, they will have a greater incentive to localize it, as they can also leverage from the PS4 user base (which is larger then the Vita one). Granted, this also hinders the chances of the Vita version coming over (as they can just bring over the PS4 version and not Vita one, saying "But, you CAN play it on Vita :D! Using remote play XD!!!!".....Damn it X(), but who knows really :l.

You can actually edit the text in the giveaway quote. Just don't mess with the MB code and edit the title of the game itself.

This is really cool of you :D. Thanks for doing this; this seems to be a really fun game :).

Really cool of you to do this! Pouring salt in my currently open wound though of deciding to stop playing this game because Rad Mode is too hard for me. But this is an absolutely awesome game, take it from someone who wasn't going to bother with it but then sank many hours in.

UGH they added CyberConnect 2 to Neptunia Victory? Why did I plat it before that. One of the worst parts about DLC (that isn't a map add-on/etc).

Are you talking about the English dub?

Yes and general localization--there's an area completely misnamed on the world map for instance.

I'm gonna start Velocity 2x

I'm not ready guys

It's hardly Dark Souls, you can suck and still finish levels, get better as you go, that's the point.

I honestly find many aspects of Velocity Ultra and Velocity 2X to be straight harder than Dark Souls, and I have the platinum in the latter. Though I guess just getting through the levels in the Velocity games with the minimal requirements is probably easier.

That said, I think both Dark Souls and Velocity 2X are fantastic games, and I enjoyed both immensely. I would say I can't wait for Bloodborne on my vita by remote play, but without L2/L3 and R2/R3 I don't think I would ever risk playing Bloodborne that way.

edit: loool guys that's not what I meant! I was not ready [for that goodness]. I didn't have any concern. Ultra is my fastest earned platinum ever

As I say in my review, Velocity is hard to master, but not punishing, there is no progress or score lost when dying, the bronze times are hilariously generous, if you even try at all you can bumble your way through the levels. Perfects, on the other hand, are quite hard, but that's exactly how it should be. Anyone can play it, but the real challenge is perfecting it. But the game doesn't enforce that by pissing you off until you leave unlike the NES game style of "difficulty"

Just finished Tales of Xillia 2! Normal ending, i still have some stuff left. I think i may not renew my Ps+ sub next month since I have to many stuff to play.

October will probably be Destiny and Xillia time on Ps3 with some Spyro/God Eater/Don't Starve for my Vita.

I may get Hearts R on December, but in the end I think that's all for this year. I really need to start saving money.

With classes I think i may have little time to play

Congrats.

Yeah, here's hoping, I'd probably buy both versions.

Looks like the Pier Solar game is finally close to release, the trophy list for it was just posted

http://www.exophase.com/game/pier-solar-and-the-great-architects-ps4/trophies/

It includes a platinum.

Yes! Great news, thanks. Been waiting for this game for a while.

Totally agree, though seeing that sad bronze icon after completing a level makes you feel like you suck, at least it does for me! But yea, I absolutely love the difficulty of the Velocity series, totally possible for anyone to finish the game, but if you want to get full perfects on every level damn if that isn't way harder than a Souls game. Which is really fun to me. Getting perfects in Velocity Ultra over a long period of time was incredibly satisfying, and I can't wait to do the same in 2X.

BTW, really enjoyed your video review of 2X, I think you gave a great overview of the game and hit some good points for when things could be better.

Does anyone know where to get Fifa 14 Vita for £20 or less? It must be the european version and it has to be new and sealed. I just realized that Fifa 15 is out real soon and i havnt gotten Fifa 14 yet.
