DriveClub Being Streamed Early by Twitch User

This sure doesn't look like some of those early screenshots, and it's not just because of the 720p streaming.

The snow track does look interesting... and the landscapes look quite nice. Just not seeing anything truly remarkable about it?

when he said it at the time he wasn't even racing other cars. no music, no other competitors. And it was a dark and dreary day on the course, weather-wise. of course that's sterile through a shit quality 720p stream lol

people are hilarious and just want to make this about the other amazing racing game coming this season. It's not really being extensively thought out these positions.

It's clearly sub 720p stream here, so not quite sure how you can judge the graphics like that.
 
I like the sense of speed, and the godlike track environments. So damn sexaaay.
Rush give us a wildlife DLC for when animals cross the tracks and we'll have to avoid them like obstacle courses.

I feel the same. The game, the environments, the lighting, the details, the sound, sense of speed, all amazing. But in the end you're just racing a track and that just doesn't do it for me for long (sure, i'll have my fun for a couple of hours, but then i get bored). Hopefully the next game they make will be more arcady with crazy shit going on.

But yeah, best looking racer out there for now.

Like it looks like what you'd see if you were taking a virtual reality test to improve your driving. The graphics are nice, but the world itself is just kind of there to me. Nothing about it pops out. The ui is cold and to the point, like no flavor to it.

The snow track looks better than the night track, but it's still just kinda 'eh' to me.

What else is the world supposed to do in a racing game? There's sprinklers and trees blowing in the wind during storms...birds occasionally fly across the screen...dynamic clouds and lighting..... do we need exploding volcanos a la Motorstorm?

not really, no. There was a time early this year I was concerned after the delay, but it has come around.

It has what I want for a racing game. I've read extensively on the mechanics and it seems it feels legit great to play, the visuals are the best ever in a racing game and Evolution has a great track record with racing games so I don't really doubt they'll deliver on the content.

on top of that, free extra tracks and shit? so far so good.
 
The tracks themselves seem pretty tight, at least in the parts I've seen. Obviously by design, but I wonder why they didn't make them a little wider.

Go watch infamous second son quicklook by giantbomb. Looks bad. Twitch is probably even worse or as bad as youtube when it comes to compression as well.

We've already seen direct feed screenshots from the beta. The game looks great.
 
How can anyone say it looks boring, it's a racing game you don't know how good it is till you feel it. My worry is the lack of content with the game, not the gameplay till I play it myself .

EDIT: I'm not being combative. Just making a simple point, people who say Driveclub looks 'plain' or 'sterile' have probably been playing FH2 for a couple of hours; hence they should watch more of the feed and readjust before making unjust comments.

Some of those screenshots with the weather effects... I mean it does look like it will be a beautiful game, but most racers are. This looks a whole lot like Pretty Racing Game 2014. I was just expecting something new/unique/different.

Infamous is another game that looked nice but was also pretty sterile and didn't really do much for me. Oh well, maybe I just don't understand vidya gamez anymore.
 
So in love. Man, I want this thing now...

Outside of the lack of American cars it is everything I've wanted in a racing game... ever.

The game looks great. That gameplay looks smooth, too bad the quality of stream makes the game look not so great.

The chat is filled with typical Sony fanboys, which isn't unexpected. I don't know...this doesn't look bad, but it feels..lifeless. There's something off about it

Sound from people watching, better sound from cars nearby, more robust noise from the UI, you don't need to jump to 'exploding volcanos' just because I might want to see someone pulling a car out of a trailer in the background or something.
