I don't really know where to place it to be honest. It doesn't do a lot that's super new but it's incredibly solid. That's Yield I guess. At the time of it's release It was pretty great.

Yo, Bendis' Iron Fist is one of my favorite runs ever, right after Jeff Lemire's Green Lantern run.
it's basically a retelling of some of the early years of Spider-Man with a large focus on Gwen Stacy (but also MJ, Harry, Flash, etc) from Peter's perspective a few years after Gwen dies
A retelling of how he fell in love with Gwen. I'll vouch for it. Sweet little 6 issue series.

I've always liked Catwoman, I won't deny that. Though I have not read any of the books by Nocenti, but from what I understand it's like pairing good singer with really terrible songwriter /bad analogy
On Catwoman her writing was incredibly random and at the best of times completely at odds with the established character traits of Catwoman. She didn't seem to care and wrote about the most redicilous shit. You are better off never reading it as a Catwoman fan. There are much greater stories about Selina out there by great writers who respect the character.
You analogy is good. In my eyes when Catwoman is used properly she is a top tier character. Nocenti should never have been in the book and showed stupidity on DC's behalf. They backed away from winnick and marches sexualized story/character and tried to play it safe.
Picking it up eventually. Loved the Unwrapped version of Hush.
DC even asked Guillem March to redraw pages from #3 after they got the script changed. Guillem posted the pages on his blog. Guess why they asked him to change the art.

Same here. If I know I'm going to read an omnibus/hardcover, then I just buy it on release week for half off from IST. Experience had taught me that 50% off is about the best deal you're going to find anyway.
After missing out on the Infinite Crisis omnibus (but recently getting it for $120), I'm now kinda fearful of another omni going OOP before I get it. dammit

I read some of the new 52 Catwoman when Winick and March was on it. Brubakers run will always be my favourite thoughI have all the collected of issues of that.....and I have Pfeifers' run too because Adman Hughes covers.................
On another note, the Oz book looks lovely( I love Skottie Youngs art). I'd get it if I didn't need new shoes.

So I stopped by my local comic book shop and they have a TON of Humanoids hardcovers... Before the Incal (in two sizes), Metahumans, and maybe a dozen other titles. They sell everything for MSRP, so if anyone is searching for any of that stuff, let me know and I'll buy it and ship it to you w/o any kind of fee.

Yeah! My shop is Big Brother Comics, in downtown Sacramento. A1 is another one of my favorites, but I try to be loyal to one of my best friends (who's the owner of Big Brother), so I only go there once every few months. They're great guys, though... we have a booth next to them at every Sac Con. I was gonna go to Big Wow this year and buy some original art from Mignola, but I was sick that weekend.

Release dates seem all over the place for that book. But I found it on Diamond's site via google, and they list it for 10/22, which seems to line up nicely with Amazon's 11/4 date, since they get shit after comic retailers.
