Final Fantasy Type-0 HD coming on March 17 2015. Download code for FFXV demo included

So this was pointed out, but... what we're getting here is actually the promise of a demo... GI wasn't told if it's a day and date thing and I don't know either...

Actually originally heard Type-0 was going to be pushed back past March for the demo's inclusion but I'm wondering now if they decided they needed to pad out the fiscal year instead so they came up with the voucher idea.

Do you know if FFXV is in the same pre-demo state that FFXIII was in? Weren't things were pretty dire prior to the team being forced to come up with some gameplay for the demo?

Well as long as it comes soon after T0, i'm ok with just a promise.
By soon i'm imagining something like E3 2015 stage demo/trailer that ends "Prologue EPISODE DUSCAE avaible NOW!", wadd'ya think?

Packing in demos with games nowadays is really scummy

You're scummy S-E

Yes, but there is no way SE can't take this opportuniy to kick their audience in some way. $60 is absurd for a pumped up Vita rpg, but they will do it.
Just like they priced Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMix, KH2.5 HD ReMix and FFX | X-2 HD at 60$ like all of you said they would.

Oh, wait, no they didn't. I don't see them pricing this at 40$, but I also don't see them trying to sell it at 60$ because then it directly competes with full fledged PS4Bone games and that is a race Type-0 HD will lose no matter how good of a job they do at improving the visuals & overall game. I'll put my bet that this will sell at 50$. It would probably be 40$ if it was a PS3 game but they'll add that usual 10$ next-gen tax in there like many other publishers. And I'll be fine with that. Last of Us PS4 was nothing but a higher res smoother fps version of the original game and that was 40$, don't see a problem with paying a bit more for a game that has never been released in the west before that has seen more extensive work done on it, even if it was originally "just a portable game."

I'm really excited, I want to play Type 0 really badly. I didn't expect it to be releasing so soon!

I was so excited when Type-0 HD was announced, then the realization that it would be a few years off at best sunk in. This is super unexpected. And an FFXV demo to boot.

No. They're probably just trying to pad the sales of what is considered a pretty mediocre game.

They are both Fabula Nova Crystallis games aside from also both being FF games.. so yes they are connected in some way... its not completely random like Halo in Crackdown.

No, we know it isn't. The January 2011 trailer showed the beginning city and some of the fields outside of it, the E3 2013 trailer presumably showed the second big city in the game. We have had Nomura talk about how the world has been fully traversable and the run-throughs he's done through it in Fall 2011 and how in at least 2012 (probably earlier) they were driving around in cars around the world.

Just words man. Don't take everything at face value for a game that's still shrouded in mystery.

We don't even have a date yet.

Fair enough, but the fact that the conversation now turns to "Would you rather pay $x or $y for a demo?", with neither option being $0, is really what people are unhappy about.

Demos coming exclusive with games has been around forever so it's palatable, but the idea of paid demos is about as gross as horse armor, on-disc DLC, console- and retailer-exclusive content, day-one DLC/patches, etc., fill in all other consumer-hostile practices that the industry has developed that people could have prevented.
I get what you're saying about how the historical precedence, but I see it as an alternative. It would be outright deplorable, for instance, if the game came with a 'discount voucher' for the FFXV demo.

I guess to me, it's all about price and implied value. This is why I was super "ehhh" on the Ground Zero thing, until I heard about how packed full of content it was. Of course, all of my defense of FFXV demo will completely evaporate, if they turn around and try to charge $50 without the Type-0 voucher.

I really hope this isn't NA only. Regardless, though, I will get a copy of Type-0 HD day one. I bought a PSP for it, and was ruined when it wasn't localized. I'm happy I can finally play a good and dark Fabula Nova game.
I wonder if there will be a CE version, and if the vouchers will be exclusive to those in EU. Since it isn't mentioning free demo for EU. :(

IGN still seems to be sourcing GameInformer and stating the EU release date, despite removing the Japan one. I wonder if Japan is getting it early.

After all this these years, do you still have absolute faith in Nomura and his vision for the game? Do you really think that he has firm control over the project and that the only reason the game has taken so long is because of resource allocation issues within Square Enix beyond his control? Is he faultless? Will he see the project through to the end and deliver on all the promises he made in interviews?

What's that story of someone on twitter that claimed to have seen an english PV of FFXV?
Can anyone confirm/explain that? I missed it totally.
So, new FFXV info/trailer tomorrow? Prety please?

LOL, I'm glad I wasn't a FF fanboy in 2009, it must have been hard to wait all these years.

This may sound masochistic and I know a lot of people maynot agree ,BUT, obtaining something that's so long awaited and so sought after such a long time is one of the best feelings in the world.

To be rewarded with patience with something you love and is passionate about is an incredible feeling.

I remember when I first got my copy of FFXIII back then I was pretty much high.

The wait + final moment of reward is what makes being a fan a rewarding experience.

Though this was particularly so with Versus for obvious reasons.

No, they are getting it on March 19th. Now the question becomes, is Japan getting it on disc at that time or what. idk.

Somebody in Japan claimed to have seen an English trailer, when they were asked about it they said you'd have to wait until the 18th, then deleted the tweets.

The sad thing is that I can't laugh about this since I had the exact same reaction, haha.

I bought a PS3 back in the days for 4 titles:
Metal Gear Solid 4
Final Fantasy Versus XIII
The Last Guardian
Kingdom Hearts 3

...
Good thing I'm a huge MGS fanboy :)

Type-0 release within 6 months and FFXV demo included! Good job SE, I can dig this. Wonder how long will the demo be...doesn't matter, hype increasing lol!

At least SE gives us a full game with a demo and doesn't just sell the demo separately (ala Ground Zero-Kojima). Who am I kidding though, I would buy a FFXV demo just as I did GZ.

So FFXV demo will be almost exclusively digital right ?

None of the disks whatsoever will have the demo or is this simply undecided as of yet ? Voucher set in stone ?
