I'm surprised I haven't heard anyone mention the fact that the new George Perez book came out today! Like, not even on my Twitter timeline where everyone is talking about comics, including the guy who did a variant cover for it

I didn't even know about it lol. He's actually coming to visit my LCS at the end of the month and is going to be doing signings for it. Dunno if I'm going to go yet.
Yes! We definitely need to play. Assuming you can play through GGPO on PC, that is.
I really ought to get around to buying a PS3 for fighting games eventually.
And that's awesome that you've competed at EVO. I kinda want to go one year just to spectate.
I still haven't been to Vegas anyways, so I could kill two birds with one stone.
You should do it! EVO is a magical place to be, and it's so incredibly entertaining as a spectator. I never even made it into the top 128 in the tournament, but that didn't matter... it was more than worth it to go every year. I'll have to install GGPO on my PC sometime so we can play! This is how I used to play at home though:

Sounds really cool! I'll definitely consider going next year.
And oh my goodness. That's awesome. Can I move in?
Also, if you need help setting up GGPO, just PM me. It can be a bit of a pain if you haven't done it before.
Wait a second. I was looking over the new release list on Comixology, and Marvel released six separate books at $4.99 today?!? When did that happen? Have I been living in an Image cave?
COPRA - Round One is now on sale at Bergen Street Comic's BigCartel site and is also available through Diamond (OCT141106), so it very well may be on its way to your LCS! It collects issues 1 - 6 and I can't recommend it enough. The story is a homage to John Ostrander's run on the Suicide Squad, and the art is incredibly unique. If you're on the fence, you can read the first issue here for free! The first few reviews are rolling in, and they've been very positive so far. (ex: Comicbook.com & AV Club)
I promise this will be my final COPRA-shilling post! I'm in no way affliated with the creator, I just love the series and hope he is successful with it! Hopefully that way he can do more stuff like this and less like All-New Ultimates...

He does it ALL by hand with watercolors/inks/pencils/etc and has a few time-lapsed videos on his site so you can see his process... it's pretty awesome to see, actually.

You just made me feel bad for spending $17 on the Frazer Irving variant... and earlier I was so proud that I had the restraint to just pick that one up rather than the $34 Guillem March cover (which I liked better). I'm weak.
Is that the one that came out today? I grabbed it off the rack since I don't usually buy Avangers, but it looked interesting. The interior was full of pretty colors. :\
Not really, no. No one reads the Ultimate books. What I do wish would happen is that pretty much all of the X-men from the current timeline (save Kitty....and X-23, because her sub-plot with Angel is adorable) get teleported to the Ultimate Universe just before the next Ultimatum.
I really need to drop Uncanny. I've been enjoying All-New pretty much from the beginning, though. There was a dip or two in quality along the way, but it's a fun title. Uncanny.... I've just been buying it out of habit, mostly from when the story was running hand-in-hand with All-New.
Though the Uncanny solicit for December looks interesting. It's an Eva-centric issue that goes into what happened a couple arcs back when the kids were lost in the Savage Land.

Uncanny is whats gotten me back into X-Men. I love the Cyclops that has no fucks to give. But they need to hurry up and do something with his team. They have interesting characters but its starting to feel like they are languish on the vine.
Well, kind of. Because Bendis. Remember when he was doing Avengers? Honestly though, I've never read the current Ultimate Spider-Man. Maybe I should....
Also, question for ComicGAF.... Metabarons. Worth a read?

This is not cool...Edge of Spider-Verse #2 was beautifully drawn and the story was great. I say that it's not cool because you know the character won't have a life outside of this event.
