I think an easy way that would solve some of the anger with the random gear at the end of matches would to have the mvp get something guaranteed and the rest is still random.

On a side note I hit rank 4 Vanguard, and the thing in the mail turned into one Mote of Light and one Ascended Shard. Fuckin' balls.

Everyone is still using the cave on Earth, I thought.

I just farmed that spot in Old Russia for about an hour and got 4 rares, a bunch of greens but no legendary engrams. On the plus side, the public event spawned twice and I got gold on both and got Ascendant Energy. I've had enough though.

Oh, and the easiest way to farm that area is killing one of the Pike dregs on Forgotten coast. Then, take the pike and setup in the farm area. Infinite ammo, easy street lol.

Just seems blatantly obvious to me, this way you still drive people to try and do really good even when the match looks lost so you can get a guaranteed drop. Plus you still keep the random drops for the people at the bottom, win-win.

Farmed the moon mission for a little over an hour and got 6 rares (3 chest pieces) all of which were worse than what I already had except my scout rifle. Still no legendary. Still level 20.

Please someone explain to my why/what I should be doing with my Warlock sunslinger sub-class. I'm currently about 2 to 3 upgrades away from fully kitting out the main class so almost ready to start upgrading the sub.
