PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | September 2014

What's the quote?

I think he's talking about the importance of PS4 exclusives vs multiplatform games.
Isn't this it:
吉田 はい。我々はPS4だけのために作っていますから、なぜPS4を買ったほうがいいのかを、タイトルで示せないといけないですよね
We are just making games for the PS4.

Also laughed at the bit about Monster Hunter.... and TLG.

The question is about importance of first party games in comparison to multiplatform games.

And because they are making games only for the PS4, not multiplatform, they can push the system and make them system sellers.

My mistake, thank you. I did not read the previous part and took what he said out of context. Sorry, and I'll edit my post.

Also, really hope we see some Digimon footage at TGS :(

Correct me if I'm wrong, FF Agito is a type 0 spinoff without movement?

Not sure about the spin-off part but, if by movement you mean that its only a visual novel then no, you can move around the school and there are battles too.

Finally!! Thing took over a month to get to me.

Never before had I stockpiled so many games before owning a console, and also the first console I've entered into 100% digital. Got a lot of stuff to download.

Just started on Danganronpa, now gonna see what the fuss is about first-hand.

I have an empty PSN friends list atm, so if anyone of VitaGAF wants to help me with that: Overdrive-Otaku

Congrats on the Vita! Danganronpa is a great game to start off with. Beat it last month and had a great time. What other games do you own? I'll make sure to add you.

Was Child of Light any good?

This bit from the IGN article makes me think they splashed a little Persona in there too.

How many games do I need to look forward to in 2015? I'm running out of room for hype. (Let alone time to play).

I thoroughly enjoyed the game, and thought it was really good. Looked and ran almost perfectly on the Vita. There were some areas where I noticed the game slow down a bit but nothing game breaking.

I know nothing about japanese. I just googletranslate'd, so I don't know if what I'm saying is the right translation, but the context seems pretty clear.

Not that SCEJA has any Vita game announced...

No, you're right. I skipped several parts like the multiplat/morpheus talk before you said anything. Since you can't understand Japanese, the best parts are these:

Shu: Being honest, the Playstation brand has always been supported by big third party titles in Japanese history like: Ridge Racer, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, Monster Hunter...
He takes a pause after MonHun >.>

And when asked about TLG he says development is going extremely well and that he has said too much already.

Aww yiss!

Driveclub, BL:TPS, Life&Hometown and Freedom Wars. What a nice birthday month for lil old me.

Oh shit is TPS october too? I'm leaning towards getting that (on PC) guess october will be packed. Fortunately Driveclub and Titty Ninjas probably won't eat as much of my time as TPS surely will

Everyone knows what Life means when they talk about Senran Kagura.

October is pretty packed for me, too. Guess that 2nd Vita plan will have to be delayed.

Unfortunately, I can't change my plans since I pre-ordered that Danganronpa Vita-2000 limited edition and it can't be cancelled. Still, I don't want to cancel, I'll just choose between Shinovi Versus and Freedom Wars.

I looked at some gameplay footage and got the feeling that movement in combat was automatic and that the "gameplay" was more about hitting the right button at the right time. If this isn't the case that is great :)

Thanks!

I pretty much own anything that's been on PS+ for the last several months, and a few decent titles that have been on sale, like at least 10 PS1 RPGs and a handful of PSP randoms like P3P, SF Alpha 3, FF Tactics and Maverick Hunter X.

Got my sights set on a lot of the recommended Vita games but can't do them all at once or else I can't afford food, heh. Really hoping for an Atlus sale to buy Disgaea 1-4, P4G, Tearaway and Akiba's Trip. Next pay period I'll likely get Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus, Jet Set Radio and MGS 3 even if they're not on sale. Definitely plan to stock up on odd Japanese and Indie titles down the road, just gotta pace myself.

Aye, at the same day as Shinovi Versus!
Getting it on PC too, but it'll unlock for me only on the 17th, unless I use some proxy and pray to not get banned.

playing Muramasa and I'm not feeling it.

should I just play on Chaos?

getting rather cautious about going full digital now (after my experience with Destiny)... so many games.. (and WiiU too Smash, Bayonetta) gah

Chaos is "medium", right? If so, definitely. It isn't that much fun on easy.

I've put almost 100h into this game and the DLCs. I love it to death. It is going to demand some skill from you little by little, and this constant practice to perfection is bliss to me. Mechanics are simply enough not to be overwhelming and deep enough to make you want to strive for more.

SO I ASSUME YOU HAVENT PLAYED AS NEKOMATA THEN?!

Yeah its a game that you sort of either love to death or hate completely. Its repetitive, occasionally frustrating, and...well, repetitive.

But I love any and all things Vanillaware so....

KEEP AT IT

I get the feeling I should have played the Muramasa DLC or something first. I really want to love Vanillaware games with their beautiful artwork, but basically none have clicked with me. Though I didn't play Odin Sphere very much. Maybe it was just a bad idea to try it Muramasa on a plane trip, the repetitiveness really, really stood out. Also a little disappointed the character I picked turned out to be evil(?) weird body-stealing dude instead of cute kunoichi.

We will get way of the samurai anyways a full fledged samurai game
I kept hearing this being thrown around on here, I couldn't believe it. But sho' nuff, it's the real deal, and I am beyond excited for this to hit the Vita.
Should I get a PS4 camera as a microphone solution?

(I use my PS4 on a monitor, so I'm forced to use the headphone jack in the Joypad for my sound output.)

I'm afraid that the camera will pick up background noise, annoying other players. Or is there an easy interface to mute it?
Didn't see a definitive answer, so here we go. Yes, the mic *will* pick up ambient room noise. Quick story - Was playing WarFrame little after PS4 launch. I died, was waiting for the team to kill the boss. So, I made use of my time by practicing my trombone. After 5 minutes I heard someone yell "WHO IS PLAYING THE TRUMPET?!". I lost it, and explained my misstep between fits of laughter. A short time later, Sony introduced the ability to mute the PS Camera - hold the PS Button, and you can go to device settings to mute the camera's mic. Do this, so you don't make a bit of an ass out of yourself :P

Or, like others have said, you can use a multitude of mic's in the controller. I have two headphone sets that work with it, a Rocketfish set and the Sony Pulse Elite. The Elite works plugged in and wirelessly, so you should have a decent option range.

OR.....go with the PS Camera. It has other uses beyond the microphone! Not a lot for now, but down the road for sure. If you sit far away, it will sound like you are in a cave though.

Well you sort of have to give the story a little more time, things...develop. But again, it is very similar (though MUCH easier) than Odin Sphere, which I also love but was a repetitive nightmare as well...

It really is kinda repetitive but it does so in a good way for me. Plus my love for Vanillaware games is 50% because of the art. I'm constantly scrounging the interwebs for artworks and such.

So it's the 3rd game to be revealed on Oct 5?! :o

Well, this is surprising, they said in July that they greenlighted a sequel but this is way too soon. Although, back in february the producer of Hollow Fragment said that he wanted to make the sequel on PS4 if he could so who knows. It was around the time of the PS4 launch so let's see if the shittastic sales changed his mind.

Either way, please be GGO and not ALO.

No, as far as I know. It's only the annoy of having to format your system every time you want to change.

And that damn welcome video.

I learned when trading in my OG Vita for a Vita slim from the guy working at the store (I guess he has to do it a lot?) that the fastest way around that welcome video is actually to turn the vita off and back on. Yes, powering it down and back on again is faster than watching that super long stupid intro video, which I find a little ridiculous.

hmm I played the beta. enjoyed it. but can't see myself replying lol.

and they took away the face I used for beta!

is there anyway to delete characters?

Yeah, but I think you need to have two characters before you can delete one. Just hover over the one you want to delete
