I hadn't been paying attention to my count of strange coins so when Xur showed up this weekend I took a look at his wares and found I had one strange coin... ONE.

I had one today, too. But I managed to get three from the Crucible and engrams. That Heroic Strike is HARD shit at level 21. We didn;t even make it to the end boss.

Legendary Auto Rifle (Unwilling Soul-09)

NICE.

Alright guys I need some advice, after I get crucible rank to 3 should I join a faction or continue ranking up vanguard(at 1 now)?
I noticed they don't have any armor for sale and I mainly play PvP.

SHOCKER!

Anyone who expected actual story content or unique stuff was fooling themselves. Bungie are keeping future story and stuff like access to the locked areas of planets as DLC. They will not be giving that shit away for free when it's a game published by Activision and they can sell it. What we get is the base game (and the one raid) and then anything else is just modifiers/difficulties upon existing content and areas.

So if I want to shoot aliens, get cool loot, play with friends online in PvP and pve, I don't need any dlc? Story in this game is meaningless, just love the gunplay and it's fun to play.

A slow but sure method to beat phogoth is to stand in the doorway and shoot him until that annoying floating orb spawns in there, then run back towards where u entered and wait for it and the extra enemies to despawn then go back to shooting out the doorway. Rinse, repeat until he's dead. Occasionally u gotta kill some regular add spawns but a lot of what u see are the adds that spawn because ur standing in that room and the devs obviously dont want u standing there, but then they all disappear after a moment of being out of it.

Yep. This is what my clan does.

This monday, I was thinking to myself "Oh, that patch must've fixed the online issues I had", but now it's friday again, and I think it's pretty clear that the problem is that the servers are simply too loaded in weekends.

If you stick to a group of PSN or XBL friends in a fireteam you can rejoin the second you're disconnected. Worked pretty well for me and my buddies today.

They must have done something that made the performance worse. Because I had no trouble at all last week, even during the weekend. Then yesterday I got kicked back to orbit twice in the first 10 minutes of playing and then it was fine after that.

Yeah, if you want to keep doing what we've been doing then yeah. If you want to get into those locked placed that have been taunting you and that you can glitch inside and fully explore (minus encounters and triggers) then you'll have to pay for DLC.

Are you serious??

It doesn't. It has a compass that points North.

I got a legendary helm for a Titan yesterday, but that one Xur is selling looks awesome too. I can't decide if I should get the exotic or just hold off and see what he's got next week.

Is there a place on the moon where you can easily farm helium filaments or do I have to just ride around everywhere? It's really slow.

I am so far behind on this thread. Hell, I was still in the last thread when I got home @ 4:20 PM. I love seeing all the gear that the RNGod is providing some of you with. It reassures me that good things are just around the corner for me and just a trip to the Cryptarch away (if he isn't being a total dick like usual).

Here is a post from the last OT that I wanted to comment to:

I was a touch late on this one, but I have to say that I can't wait to max out my sunsinger so I can remotely achieve something like this!

My Sunsinger is currently @ 21 and slowly amassing light and my Titan is coming along @ 9 and progressing when my wife and I find time to play together. I've really been happy with that subclass and can't wait to be able to resurrect my zombie self in battle. If anyone notices me online with my Sunsinger, shoot me an invite and we can go kill things together.

And to the Bungie employees who lurk this thread:
Fix your betrayal!!! Give us Space Beards!
please and thank you. I love your game. :)

Yao what's deal. I've played crucible pretty much nonstop the last couple of nights. I am down to two regular bounties. The game isn't giving me any new ones. I have one legendary weapon (a rocket launcher). I'm stuck at level 24. So unless the game gives me more bounties, I just have to farm crucible matches without any bonuses for 1500xp so I can get to Dead Orbit rep level 2 to buy shit to get my light level up. Fun times bungie... Fu

Here's what I don't get - did Bungie purposefully design the game with the idea of high level players running around the Moon - not doing any missions or fighting anything mind you (because everything is so low level)- but purely scouring the environment like scrubbing bubbles seeking out chests and helium deposits?

Because I don't see what the alternative is supposed to be.

Hey so uh, apparently you are supposed to get some sort of rifle after beating the game? I'm pretty sure I beat the game but only got a thing of light from the traveller...

...did I do something wrong?

High level players should still be fighting and doing patrol missions. Level has no bearing on rewards in patrol.

How do people go AFK in the pvp? The game kicks u even if you are just walking forward the whole time. How do people stand still and not get kicked?

Haha this was weird. I just finished a game and a message saying "AnX IReCoiLz (me) found Crucible" in purple text. Me and my buddy were like.. what the hell is Crucible? At the reward screen I had a blue engram and a strange coin, no purple thing and I was even more like.. what the hell?

It turns out, the Crucible is a package for levelling up your crucible rank. And it only went and spat out a legendary AR!

Bought an exotic helmet from Xur and have 10 coins left. Also used my motes for an exotic engram and got an exotic chest for another class. To the vault!

last night I came across 5 people in old Russia shooting into a cave where monsters kept re-spawning over and over. is it a known farming spot? where are the other ones?

If you mostly play Striker Titan then I'd say to go for it. In my opinion it's the best exotic piece you can get for the class.

If you're mostly a Defender then it might be better to hold out for the Helm of Saint-14 though.

I think ideally you would want to have both though. One for each subclass. That's assuming you change back and forth somewhat regularly.

So by design, high level players should be patrolling and tearing up grey enemies?

Seems that way, I just don't get why Bungie would choose to do things that way. Why mark low level enemies as grey if not to say that they're not meant to be your targets - leave em for lower level players like in other MMOs or level based action rpgs.
