I have opened about 10 legendary engrams and haven't gotten a single legendary item.
Got my legendary weapon from a blue engram and my exotic gauntlets from Xur.
Legendary engrams are a fraud.

lol they turned a question about how shitty their pvp reward system is into how destiny is a never ending stream of content
I haven't upgraded it yet, but it has 2 range upgrades (one is minimal though) iirc.

Took a chance with Xur's Exotic Chest Engram and got the Praxic Fire one for the Warlock, is that a good chest for Sunsinger's?
I'm a Titan, but I didn't mind it much seeing as how I already have an Exotic armor piece equipped. So in the vault it went, and now I have something to look forward to when I start my Warlock character this weekend.

I'm 1 for 3 on Legendary engrams turning into Legendary items. Both others went blue. I've gotten 4 engrams from the Cryptarch level-up packages, 1 of which was Legendary.

no, the update mentioned several times how there is internal discussion going on about the balance of the game (which isn't final), including those systems. not that the issues aren't frustrating, but can't expect much after just a week. bungie fans are used to waiting 6 months before a patch anyway, so...

Oh, my test requires mutliple engrams for maximum effectiveness.
Background-I had 2 Legendary Engrams once(1 Weapon, 1 Armor), and I said 'fuck it', closed my eyes, and just mashed my way through unlocking them. Both engrams yielded an exotic. Which is a phenomenal statistic of something like that. So I want to run some trial and error and see if that was just RNG, or if there's a tick/time based system to turning in engrams(The closest example is when they released the Golden Hammers for TF2-Someone discovered they were time based, so crafting at those times would yield a golden hammer.
Granted, I could be out of my nutter on this one but...2 exotics within a second from 2 legendary engrams, one weapon and one armor. That's too lucky for me.
1 for 3....4 engrams...so I'm guessing you got a legendary from a blue engram? You didn't specify what kind of engrams you got in the package. Thank sfor the info

Beat the weekly nightfall today. Got a exotic helmet. I can't wear it because I don't have anything to replace my sunbreakers. I'm not sure if I like the helmet design. The other guys got a exotic hunter helmet. He liked his splinter cell helmet better, but the new one he got isn't bad at all. Other guy got 10-12 pokeball mats.
I wanted a suros auto rifle

Looks like one of the void damage primary legendaries that has a bonus to Oracles you can get as a raid drop. One of the reasons I would generally not run a primary exotic in PvE.

How is Agility worthless? I thought it wasn't working as intended during the Alpha/Beta, but then they patched it and that it actually does make you faster. I notice a difference when I switch between my Max Speed Striker Titan vs. my Defender Titan which is all Armor and Recovery.
