Fuck ascendent shards. Seriously. I'm so done with trying to get materials.

I'm officially bored.

i think this is an inherent problem with Destiny. since leveling up is so quick, you're left grinding the same things you've just played over and over again for barely any materials in order to keep leveling up. since the game plays virtually the same in every mission, every strike... and every PvP map, it just becomes repetitive and monotonous. The bounties are barely different, the venders don't change, and you don't leave an impact on the world.

Basically, it's a game where if something new isn't happening weekly, there's no point of playing.

This wasn't a problem with Bungie's previous games. You'd blaze through the Campaign and then there'd be an incentive to go back through it, whether it be skulls, easter eggs, achievements, or the simple fact that the set piecies were engaging and offered many ways to play. Or you'd sample the variety of MM gametypes or create your own custom ones. Destiny kinda just feeds you the same thing every single time with no way to change it.

Just saw a straight up not even encoded exotic shotgun drop for someone in crucible...

Oh well I got the marks and got my chest piece from the vendor.

Now to do a few weekly strikes for coins and I can buy the helm from Xur!

Anyone up for it? PS4: flo_evans

Finished my Bad Juju quest, took me around 2 hours of crucible to finish last part, but I did pretty well I think, always stayed above 1.5KDR:

Another Legendary engram which became a Rare. That's still a 100% record.

Funny how I got a Legendary weapon from a Rare engram..

People keep saying Devils lair is the fastest strike. I don't know about you guys, but I had to do 25 strikes for my exotic bounty and I just did Nexus 25 times. You can run past 95% of the enemies. There are no 3 wave defense sections. The only place you have to stop is to kill 3 servitors at the beginning. Other than that, you can run straight to the boss. Takes about 4 minutes to get to the boss and 4 minutes to kill him.

I timed my runs and the average time per strike was 8 minutes 10 seconds.

Yeah. Hmm. I can see this happening to me, but at the moment the promise of higher difficulty levels and the raid is still exciting. I'd like to try the nightfall just because it looks bloody hard. (Level 26.5 here).

Was trying to find some yesterday, so hard.

Do a patrol on Mars, go staight to the right where you see a fight between the Cabal and Vex, also will be 2 outposts and some caves. Loads of Relic Iron spawns there. Keep running around in circles from base to base.

The path to the last boss for Nexus is such a joke. So easy. The final boss is just kind of annoying because he'll get your health down really quick if he hits you twice.

There is a pillar you can stand on where the mobs won't be able to damage you and if you crouch when being fired at, the boss can't hit you.

I dunno. 8 minutes seemed a lot better than doing Devils lair! :)

Anyone figure out a quick way to level? Stagnating a bit with my Hunter till Xur brings a useful exotic so I wanna make a Wizard. Already have enough gear to jump them to 24-25 once they hit 20.

You're gonna be in for a rude awakening once you hit level 24, the serious grind and constant praying for good RNG and ascendant shards begins. At level 28, nearing 29 I'm officially burned out.

Only if you absolutely have to have it all right now.

I'm levelling an alt atm. My Titan is 26, just need an exotic primary to be fully decked out ready for 28.

Going through the game again solo is a decent challenge and I'm finding doing the story missions on hard very fun.

Right now my Destiny playsession looks like this:

Log in, do my bounties.
Do the daily.
Do a strike or two.
Maybe farm a few public events.
Play some pvp.
Level my alt.
Hang out with friends.

The game is plenty varied if you don't feel you absolutely need all the gear straight away. I don't even notice the grind.

I'll make a Warlock when my Hunter's 20 too. Having all three will ease the pain of finding good gear that isn't for my Titan. Already have my exotic body and legendary cape for my Hunter that my Titan found, and can share my weapons between everyone.

Not even close to getting bored yet. :3

Bounties and story missions is what I did. Level 11 after about 5 hours.

How you liking it so far? Im working on that bounty myself. Don't really use pulse rifles, so I'm hoping it's decent.

Edit: also what time does xur disappear?

Best quick run for bounties or whatever is the moon one. Run past everything to the room with the door. Kill the 3 very easy waves, run past everything to boss, hide behind back left rock, kill what few adds reach you, down the boss. Simples. Shoot boss in belly to make him keel over (easilly done in one hit if you have a sniper rifle). Super simple and fast and easy. Run take 5-10 minutes depending on if the rest of the group run with you or if they fight their way there like noobs.

I agree. I had to do a Strike without dying. I tried Devils Lair. And yeah, I died...

So I did good ol' Nexus, which I found easier and shorter to begin with anyway. And made it even though one lamer left us after he noticed we weren't there for suicide farming. Nexus is easier and shorter imo.

I find the Dinklebot scene in DL harder and sometimes I screw up against the Devil Walker too.

Need two high level guardians' help to quickly beat Summoning Pits. I want my second Guardian, a Warlock, to reach level 15 before I head off for lunch and shopping.

Well I'm out. Farming flowers on Venus to slightly upgrade my legendary armor? Sorry but that's not happening. This is vanilla WoW levels of boredom. Regretting my digital purchase of this. Had some fun, but overall a disappointment.

Really lucked out this morning. Legendary Engram decrypted to exotic Machine Gun Thunderlord. Aiming down sights is like a scout rifle, so accurate and precision damage one-shot kills many enemies. Feels OP, can't wait to get it upgraded.
