Really loving playing the game this weekend. I usually suck online at FPS games, but I ended up getting this exotic weapon bounty requiring a positive 25 kill/death record. Freaked out thinking it was simply impossible. Ended up doing team death match and all of a sudden I was in the zone. I couldn't lose. Got that part of the bounty after two matches. Awesome game.

Yep, they're horseshit. Normal maps im doing 1.5-2.5:1 in team deathmatch, going 5 and 17 or so in the vehicle maps, not even going to bother.

Someone mentioned a while ago that PvP was like a fight between super heroes. I've been mulling over this comment for a bit and it reminds me of a comment I made myself a while ago too. It was about how the PvP was more about what you had and how you used it than what the other person was doing. Since then, I still feel this way about the crucible...to an extent. Overshields and camo are the norm now and I feel less and less empowered as a Gunslinger. I can make one of other classes or switch to bladedancer now and again, but none of them reward precision and speed like the Gunslinger does. A match between just Gunslingers is style and finesse, but against the other classes we're outmatched.
I still do well in most games, but I feel like so many deaths are happening because of inherent advantages other classes have over me. Gunslingers don't have bullet resistance, OHK attacks (except for the tripmine, which isn't guaranteed) or any noticeable buffs to their supers. The throwing knife is where my main issues lie. All of the other classes have advantages in CQB, but the throwing knife - despite its range - requires you to aim it and damage a target beforehand to get a kill with it, even if it's a precision kill. The burn effect is useless in PvP, so it bears repeating that I'd prefer the throwing knife be a OHK to the head. It's often the only thing standing between me and a Titan charging at me to unleash his super, so I feel like that level of precision should be rewarded. I also feel like hiding an extra shot for the GG behind a helmet (one of the ugliest ones at that) was a misstep, especially considering the uselessness of the aforementioned knife perk. That's far more valuable than exploding enemies or over-penetration, and is comparable to the perks of the other classes. Titan gets a perk that makes him harder to kill when using Fist of Havok - as if it wasn't hard enough. Meanwhile, the Gunslinger stacks reload speed....
I've heard people claim that the Gunslinger class is overpowered given the range of the Golden Gun, but i've killed and been killed while in GG. Again, we don't get bullet resistance and everything requires precision, so rewarding that precision should hopefully bring the class up to par with the others.
At least, you'd hear less complaints from me because I'd dome a lot more shotgun campers.

Question, can you get around the Vanguard/Crucible marks cap by swapping bonds to your respective faction bonds, therefore making the cap:
100Vanguard / 100Crucible / 100DeadOrbit / 100FWC / 100NewMonarchy?

The only things that don't count in PvP (outside of Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris, which aren't available right now) are your armor defense and your weapon attack. Everything else counts, including your class armor, agility and recovery stats.
Gunslingers were apparently "OP" in the beta... so Bungie nerfed the incendiary grenade.

Guys I need your advice, spent vanguard marks on a legendary helm and chest but I realize now I have 20 coins and 23 mots and I would fucking love the helmet for my titan.(xur has it boost my hulk smash)
I already own a legend ass rifle, should I wait til next weekend for a chest or other part I'm missing to buy exotic(2 pieces) or should I balance between 1 exotic weapon and 1 piece of armor?

They definitely weren't OP in the Beta. F'ng Warlocks.
You can only wear one Exotic armor and one exotic weapon.
You can only equip 1 exotic weapon and 1 exotic armor.

My theory about Xur is he just pulls random gear from the exotic pool and sells them, but random'd into the same Sunbreaker from last week.

We play in a fireteam of six and every time Bastion shows up we just quit wholesale and go to orbit, leaving the other wondering what just happened lol. I generally don't like quitting MP games but that map is just too much.

The Class Item only affects the type of Rep you get. The Marks will be always be Vanguard or Crucible. So, no.

yeah, it's pretty disappointing, especially the slow reload in combination with only 6 shots in the drum. also hate the "green dot sight".
Looks like an energy shield that I can't shoot through. And titans have that shield above their HP don't they?
But you can Sparrow to the inside and fight over all the flags without going outside? Or are you doing Clash?
Clash would suck I imagine.

You can spawn with a super, grenade, sniper rifle, and sneak your ass over to a turret. Obviously if you're playing a full team as a random, your success will vary, but my streak always comes to an end when Warlocks fly up in the air and Nova Bomb me.
Am not simply saying "git gud" here. I've also been spawn trapped by vehicles, and I don't particularly care for them either. But it doesn't get much more anti vehicle than a big ball of space magic...
Supers are likely the reason we have such dull vehicles; there are no passenger or aerial vehicles. So if the tools we have aren't working, it kinda defeats the purpose.

I'm confused with the Cryptarch. I have some blue engrams. Do I have the Cryptarch decrypt them whenever I feel like it or should I wait and level up. I mean will I get something different/better if I level up before decrypting it or does it not matter?
Yeah it's terrible to play a map where shotguns aren't the goto weapon. A map where a sniper is actually a viable choice!

Honestly, the marks will always be Crucible...for whatever reason. No clue why they didn't balance the factions.

Titan Defenders can drop a bigass bubble. It shields himself and teammates. It blocks incoming and outgoing attacks. You can run in and fight them, but he has an overshield from it + other potential goodies, so it's dangerous to this. You CAN drop grenades inside of it after you run in....I got three post mortem kills from that tactic haha.....
The bubble can be destroyed by enough damage, but it's extreme. I DID Fist of Havoc one tonight and get 5 kills
.Titan Defenders can also get overshields by killing people with their punches or spec'ng so that their big bubble gives overshields to his team.
Titan Strikers can have Juggernaut. Has a shield while running. Haven't used it, but tempted to due to shotguns, but if I do I can't ALSO shoulderblock. An exotic that gives me juggernaut and shoulderblock would be amazing.

And yeah, Bastion can be annoying, but you can avoid them easier there than First Light....and you can avoid them fairly easily on First Light.

Finally hit level 20 tonight, hoping to clear the rest of the story tomorrow while I'm off work.
Shaders really help to make you like your character a lot more. Makes even dull armor tons of fun. Really want to do the raid, but need to get higher leveled first!

It just took me a long ass time...
I feel like a liability using this thing even in a 24 strike.
The reload is complete shit with no way to improve it.
The sad part is, I can name 2 blue level 20 hand cannons that are better than it.
