Guys with a huge amount of health following you around on a public event where you could potentially be the only fighting them. Sounds really fun and cool.

You could always flee to orbit, get some help and take him out.

Just thinking about the tethering design and mixing it up. Be cool if we had more autonomous mobs

I am not saying don't give them rewards, just less of a chance. Everyone starts off with one dice roll. If you do well with kills, if you help with objectives you get more dice rolls. This way a bad player can still get rewarded if they help capture points, or get assists. It's not crazy to think a good player deserves more than a bad one.

It really sucks when you come first and everyone else in your fireteam gets something except you. :/

i was getting pretty pissed about being stuck at level 25 for basically an entire week yesterday. makes no sense how actually being good at the game has nothing to do with your progess

I'm still in that position, doesn't help that I had to purchase every bit of armor to get to that point.

I was sitting at 27 for about a week as well, sucks because now I'm at the mercy of the Shard Gods now that I hit 28 to get to 29. And then from there you'll need Raid gear to advance any further.

Ohh and on an unrelated note, I overheard Xur say “your traveler hides a dark secret” (or similar). So basically it's the halo ring? :p

He also says your traveler has a dark mirror.

The female Exo you run into also says she's not forged in light, and makes it a point to say some people follow the wrong side of the light.

What's the best way of farming ascendant materials? Doesn't have to be fast, even like 1 per day i can deal with.

Edit : just saw above. Looks like it's the skywatch cave, lol.

Your first public event of the day, gold it and then go to the post office in the tower. The postmaster gives you an ascendant material as a reward.

You can do it once a day.

Think I'm starting to hit the ceiling with the game. Barring PVP for some fun there is really nothing else to do with my Titan. The only way to upgrade it is to use Ascendant Shards and they're stupidly annoying to obtain. There is literally fuck all else in the game to do. No incentive to do anything because it's not like there's a ton of superior armors to try and get at level 27.

Barring trying the Raid, farming for Engrams, doing the Daily Story even every day (for the Shards), maybe farming Public Events for those too and playing PVP, there just isn't anything to do.

Might start a new class to pass some time.

I'm a fan of the game for sure but definitely starting to hit that limit.

Fuck that priest.

I'm pretty sure you can cheese him. There's a spot on top of the rocks in the bottom right of the arena where only a few of the adds can hit you. That's how I always do that fight, cos I'm lazy and can't be arsed charging round the arena constantly.

Let's have an e-hug man. I'm at the exact same level too.

Guys, get some marks in. I flew through level 25 and 26 to 27 from buying vanguard/faction gear and an exotic from Xur.

He was in the Tower North (the area where the Speaker is) until today. The 'weekend merchant' not available on Sunday. Sigh.

Yeah I really wish they'd change that, a lot of folks can only get serious gametime in on the weekends. I'd rather have him all day Sunday than access late Friday + Saturday.

Why am i so bad at pvp? I'm either last or second to last every time :( i feel bad for the rest of my team, but i don't know, i always get killed when i run into someone unless other members of my team are around. And at least 60% of the time i just get headshotted or shotgunned from behind without even knowing there was a threat.

I don't really understand why he can't be available until midnight on Sunday or something like that. Strikes me as one of those needless, impenetrable design choices of Destiny rather than something practical.

Need a sixth person to do the raid, spoiler-free going into it, at 1pm EST.

If you're interested, PM me! Good group of guys, all level 26-27. I think we have 3 warlocks, a hunter, and a defender titan. Ideally no hunters, another defender titan would be good I think!

I need someone to do a Weekly Nightfall Strike with me. I'm all alone and just can't do it :(

My PSN ID is HenriqueMZBR, i'm ready right now :)

The point is some find it impossible to sit through cut scenes that are one or two minutes long at best. I don't think the cut scenes are awesome either, but you know what? I don't have ADHD, I can sit there for the tiny amount of time they take to play out without frothing at the mouth with anger.

Of all the complaints people have thrown out about this game, that one is laughable.

You talk as if it's some atrocity against mankind. It's already been pointed out that they mask loading screens, but can you just not, like, do something else for the short time they take to play out? Really? I read a few comments on neogaf and the cutscene's over, done.

Sure it'll be an easy fix that'll probably come in a patch soon, but I really can't do anything but shake my head at how comically mad people are getting over some short, bad cut scenes.

I'm not hugely mad, just incredibly disappointed, and having to go through the cutscenes each time is just insult to injury. Can I ignore them, yes. But I really wish I didn't have to.

How the shit do people even find that stuff?

Totally by accident, in my case :P

On the bright side, you're probably getting more after match rewards than anyone else.

Really? Somehow i don't buy that. I went that route for a bit and couldn't get past level 21. I stopped the farming racket and played the game properly and got to level 25 in a day.

I only cave farmed for like an hour just as a "might as well while I'm here" while playing the game correctly, leveling up my FWC rep. It got me enough strange coins to get my legendary and deliver me to 26 land

This. If you want to hit 27 as quick as possible, focus on light first then other stats. I am wearing 2 pieces of vanguard, 1 exotic, and 1 crucible piece for that reason (27). Once I get more vanguard marks I'll focus on getting the right stats.

Do not try to gear through RNG, people. Marks are an easy and 100% certain way to gear up to 27.

So my vanguard and crucible marks are maxed. What do you guys do in those instances? I want to keep playing, but hate these artificial barriers.

Finally found a shader, that is not clown colors, got it from leveling Vanguard rep to level 4:

It's the dark blue one, with strange name consisting only of numbers.

Most of the time I'm doing really bad is because I'm focusing on getting a bounty, and not playing the game. Running for a heavy weapon drop and trying to fight four other people going for the same drop, stuff like that. As for them getting you in the back, it's all a matter of looking at the radar (unless they are crouched in a corner with a shotgun). I suck too, but I'm getting better as I learn the maps and the flow, where I can just sprint, and where I know I'll hit resistance. Also, unless you are a young kid with quick reflexes, stay out of rumble. No strategy will help you there, just twitch shooting.

I'm right there with you. I stil enjoy the game but now I'm like "what's left."

Once I hit 30 I'll just start a new class I guess.

Cant wait for loot 2.0 patch.

Well that's if they own up and admit that the design is flawed and downright not enjoyable or fun for the player. When you see a purple drop, it should be exciting, like "oh shit I can't wait to see what awesome thing I get." It's now devolved into, "great, I have to go to the cryptarch and see what piece of shit I'm going to get." For me, the more purples I see drop, the less excited I get because I know it's most likely going to be shit.

If Blizzard owned up and redesigned the loot system of Diablo after all the feedback, I'm hoping Bungie mans up and does something about it.

Damn that sounds great, I wish I wasn't at work. I have a feeling a spoiler free raid team some day mid week will be tough to come by.

Has bungie said anything about the complains about the game.

What system? I have a lvl 28 Defender Titan.

Got the achievement for being completely decked out after hitting level 2 worth Dead Orbit and going on a spending spree. Guess I'm raid ready now.

I do 2 things at that point

1. Earth Cave
2. Do chest runs to farm materials so I can get a headstart once marks reset.

Isn't that like right now? How many hours away is that? Feel free to put me (level 27 titan defender) in reserve.

That's a far more reasonable reaction (one I share) than the wild squealing I see from others (not just here, other sites too). It's like people have not an ounce of patience any more.

Haven't you heard, if you are playing the loot game, you are doing it wrong. You need to buy what you want.

So I was pretty bummed that I couldn't get enough strange coins for the Sunbreakers and the vendor left today (only had like 9 or 10 coins), so decided I'll just complete the Vanguard bounties before work to work on my Vanguard rep.

I've come to terms with myself to no longer grind the cave on the moon. It's not fun and it only leaves me with sadness and disappointment. I've realized that the intentions of the legendary equipment is that you grind Vanguard and Cruicible currency until you can afford it and even purples you find by random are considered a plus and nothing more.

One of my bounties was the 200 resource items thing on Mars. Some lowly legionary dropped a purple engram (my first purple drop from an enemy btw) and I didn't even get excited (The Cryptarch has given me two purples for ranking him up and one had a rocket launcher while the other had bullshit). After a few bounties I decide to go back and have the engrams looked at. First blue engram (bullshit green stuff). So now I'm really not getting my hopes up for the purple one. I'm thinking "just give me the blue crap so I can sell it and I guess it's not all lost).

Have him look at the purple one, put my controller down, and literally said "Oh..My..God.."
Lo and behold my reward for not caring about farming engrams anymore lol

Im not to bothered about the mass blues you get from purple engrams. My biggest problem is that earth cave is much more efficient for getting purple engrams than running tiger strikes for example.
