I missed my Titan so much. That armor rating of hers is far superior. I had to keep moving about with the Warlock, making missions last longer than I wanted. Both classes have their strengths and weakness but god, I missed my Titan so much when I was playing as my Warlock. I still haven't gotten used to the Glide. I much prefer the Titan's jetpack at the moment. I haven't unlocked Blink yet so I can't say much about it.

Didn't know if armor made that much of a difference. Doesn't seem like it in pvp. Lol

I love the Titan super and shoulder charge but I can see the advantage of a range super. Plus blink + shotgun is so annoying it has to be fun. Lol

Some of the higher end robes are looking pretty sweet too.

I've been playing strike playlists for the last couple of hours and I'm getting really tired of that crap... I don't think I've done one single strike today with 2 other people... We're always only 2 and then it either gets way to long to finish it or we die a couple of times and the other dude leaves.

First time I got a Mote of Light out of a Legendary Engram.

i would get tired of doing something for hours on end as well

Jesus Christ between blink shotgun whore warlocks and blade fucking dancer hunters, control is pretty much unplayable.

Are you a titan by any chance? :P

Right now I don't understand how Blade Dancer could have possibly released as being so OP. The damage resistance is so unbelievably high, you're essentially invulnerable for a few seconds. With the speed too, it totally counteracts the idea that every super has a counter. Blade dancer does not, it gives you instagibs, super speed and invulnerability. I mean come the fuck on.

The reason I hate bladedancer is because it's so easy to die while using it... So no, this is false.

haha right, both the other classes have supers at long range that can kill any number of players in the blast area instantly. BD have to time it so we can get maximum results. The fact that titans have no windup time to the pound and can stop a BD is not op to you?

literally every other super in the game is a hard counter to blade dancers

people just have a hard time accepting that they lost when the blade dancer had better map awareness than they did. if you're trying to shoot it out with one you lost when you entered the room.

Man, 50+ matches in and the Crucible just still isn't really clicking with me at all. Ignoring the absurd amount of things that can one-shot you at any given time, I think my biggest gripe is just the general inconsistency and lack of feedback. The game seems to have general latency issues I don't experience with any other games (sniping doesn't feel right at all, I get a ridiculous amount of postmotem kills that make no sense etc), but my #1 issue is that with all things being equal in an lost encounter I can't tell if the other player edged me out because of gear or skill. The number of times I will absolute point blank shotgun someone twice and they don't die but they shoot me once at midrange and I die is crazy. Or I'll have a close AR battle with someone and just barely lose. And not knowing if the stats on their gear (which is almost always a legendary primary, which I have yet to get) was the deciding factor if I was just outplayed slightly drives me up the wall. And without that feedback I can't tell if I just need to "get good" etc or if I just got edged out because of the weapon. That lack of feedback has driven literally, to a man, every single person on my friends list to swear to never play Crucible again. This is my group of friends that I've played every Halo/CoD/etc with for years and years and I have never since this group vindictively hate something this much. I quite literally have zero people on my friends list who are still playing this game who will do it with me lol.

I'm still playing it partially because I need marks/rep, but also because some people here clearly enjoy it and I see brief moments where it all comes together and it's fantastic and i want to understand it. But 95% of the time it just makes me want to throw my controller out the window. Also I will say that I honestly think most of the maps are trash; some of them are waaaaaay too big and have way too much unused space.

lol this has to be a joke. The other classes powers are much more brutal and you don't even have to be close to get kills. If you lost to a blade dance then deal with it and keep moving. Don't come in here crying that it's the most op.

Exactly. Dont know how many times I died blade dancing. I've gotten better though.

i havent spent much time with bladedancer in pvp, but i'd say gunslinger is better. the supers seem pretty well balanced against each other (aside from shields in control/salvage)

I don't think Bladedancer is overpowered. You have to be in the right place to use it, otherwise you're wasting it.
When "the right place" is both midrange and short range, AND when blade dancers can move around and still get more kills before it's up, I don't think this is a legitimate critique. It can be activated out of sight and still be lethal in both those ranges.

I think it's clearly the most overpowered thing in the game, especially considering much of the multiplayer maps and especially their interiors are a playground for Blade dancer but not so much for other supers.

Any changes need to keep PVE in mind though, without the damage resistance you're just out in the open melee'ing dudes and die before your bar is half gone.
Perhaps, but I think it's strong enough as is considering the absurd amount of damage you can rack up and how other supers leave you completely exposed with less flexibility in lethality.

I pretty much always get shotgunned in the face when blade dancing. It's hard as shit to control, and most of the time I'm just running around trying to find someone since everyone without a shotgun scatters when they see it.
This is strange. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've point blank put a shell in a blade dancers face and they haven't dropped. The shotgun in general doesn't seem very effective in countering all short range super uses, which is odd because there's pretty much nothing as damaging.

Voidwalker and Striker supers counter it. I've slashed both in mid-super, they survive, I don't. Golden Gun also still one shots them. I've also killed plenty of Bladedancers before they could reach me with an AR.
While this is true (at least speaking for Voidwalker), I think having supers as the only counters isn't good for game design. It promotes cool down management but discourages moment to moment gunplay.

Gunslinger is hands down better. You get to sit back and insta-kill people from across the map lol

Blade Dancer is OP when you can plan it pre-emptively around corners; in order to counter it you generally either need a shotgun or super 100% at the ready, and if you're even halfway decent with it you can dash into a room from around a corner and just kill everyone before they react. I think it's OP, but not by much more than everyone else's super. And let's face it, most of the kills in Crucible tend to be one or two shot deaths from super/rockets/shotgun etc, so it's just slightly more bullshit than all of the rest of the bullshit. It could arugably use tweaking, but it's not like that's really going to slow crucible matches down or make them more balanced in any way.

If I land every Fusion rifle shot on a blade dancer, they should not be alive. I've unloaded whole shotgun amounts into them only to have them still kill me. It's broken.

meh

i change my playstyle with lag. its not like other games like that - if you notice a bad connection at play, just join another match.

not sure what else you could mean by lack of feedback other than latency issues.

also, while damage is normalized, skills are not. so if a titan goes into his subclass and maxes his armor over recovery and speed you'll definitely notice it compared to shooting the hunter specced for speed over everything else. a lot of people don't know or notice this.

no it isn't... again, i think people aren't taking lag into account simply because there aren't red bars by people's names during the game.

anyone who's ever played blade dancer knows how fragile they are

Why is Bungie telling me I have a "Strict NAT" all of a sudden with no problems and no changes on my end, and a Type 2 connection.

Is anyone else getting that pop-up when they log in for the first time?

I've been killed mid pound by shotguns, fusion rifles, and even Bladedancers. So it happens to everyone.

dont forget the huge aim assist. also, when upgraded, shots that pass through the target potentially hitting more and exploding dead bodies!

Bladedancers are BS not because of Arc Blade, but because of Blink and (especially) Cloak.

Cloak is way, way too powerful right now. It's effects on targeting and the motion tracker are flat busted, and Blink just exaggerates the Hunters insane mobility and evasion.

The lack of matchmaking on late game content is really bumming me out. I want to play the game when I have some free time and don't want to spend a huge chunk of that finding people to play with. I'm torn because I've really enjoyed the game, but the lack of matchmaking is preventing me from continuing. I guess that was by design, so I might just trade this in rather than but the expansions.

exactly. blade dancers actually have to plan - and unlike sunsingers they don't get to rise from their own grave, spit one shot grenades, and buff there entire team. hunters have to plan out their supers more than any other class. they can't just derp it out when things get spooky.

on top of that, arc blade has the worst orb of light production rate in the entire game by far

are you referring to the blink jump? honestly, it seems pretty shit from playing around with it a bit in pve. really hard to navigate and it removes a lot of your combat options in mid air. the timing to initiate it and come out of it makes shooting or even throwing grenades in air almost useless. i could see it helping out with avoiding shots in pvp, but that seems definitely balanced out by its down sides.

Couple questions:

Is it possible to see your hours played?

and

Where can I see what my vanguard / crucible rep is at?

A. Go to Bungie.net and look for your Destiny profile

B. Go to the Crucible masters and they'll show you. (These guys are located near the Guardians that give you class specific things early in the game) Go down the steps and there should be two guys in the first room.

arc blade is pretty much useless in high level pve. the only thing its useful for is cloak + revive. also, most supers gain some amount of damage resistance. if you shotgun a titan/warlock/bladedancer you'll take out half their health with one hit at pointblank range. so throw down a grenade at a bladedancer running towards you, pump them full of bullets and enjoy a dead bladedancer

Is there a point doing strikes higher that level 18 in the playlist when sou reached the weekly cap for marks? Is the droprate higher or better the harder the strikes are? Can someone confirm?
