off topic but I just want to to share that I made some old ladies' day as they were walking out of church. Driving back from grocery shopping and the song comes up, and before I reach the church crossing I had turned down my windows and turned up the music and bass

I was all

Fire up loud!
Another round of shots!....

...

TURN DOWN FOR WHAT!

Never before has my horrible car dancing been better used.

Welp anyways, back to Destiny.

The best thing when you have legendary/exotic equipment is that you ain't even mad anymore when you get shards/motes/coins out of engrams, you actually look forward to it. :P

Huh? That shouldn't be possible. Which two specifically?

Hammer Forged and Send It. Both increase range by the exact same amount.

Any tips on how to get the 500 void kills for the Thorn bounty as a hunter? I can't seem to find a void shotgun anywhere :(

Void fusion rifle is what I used. Took about 8 games.

Just played rumble and let the shotgun users rush towards me. Easy kills.

Time and hope, my friend. I'm stuck on the same one since multiplayer deaths count against the bounty. Thankfully I have a void shotgun.

People complaining about bladedancer don't even know how OP their own fucking supers are. Titans complaining about being killed at close range can get fucked.

Also blink is a pain to get the hang of, but it is a great defensive move.

In terms of what kills me the most, I would rank it:

Bladedancer (by far)
Titan Smash
Warlock Nova

Not saying Bladedancer is OP or whatever, but it does (definitely) kill me the most.

Edit: There are more Hunters than Titans and Warlocks though, so yeah.. that could also be the reason.

Honestly, besides the raid trophies, the hardest one for me by far is killing a Titan/Warlock/Hunter without dying. I can safely say there is 0% of me doing this. I don't get how 17% of people have already done it. That seems like a ton for such a hard trophy.

I mean... It's so easy to die in PVP and the matches are so long. Is there an easy way to do this that I'm missing?

edit: Misunderstood the trophy. Thought you couldn't die the entire match. This is much easier than I thought.

Bladedancer super with the ability that increases duration with kills. I got it entirely by accident.

This.

I just want me Shards though. 3 guaranteed a day (2 for Daily Heroic Story and 1 for Public Event) is pretty annoying though. Can get more of course through drops but lolololol.

That's just the greedy ass in me though. If we got Shards up the wazoo then we'd all be level 30 bitching about how easy it is to level up.

I've had Arc Blade shut down by PUNCHES. Yes. Punches. Because Warlocks and Titans pack enough power to do that with their melees. Also by ARs while trying to close distance. Also people managing to simply outrun it until it ended. And also other supers.

Arc Blade is devastating when it works, yes, but it's very much counter-able. I've never stopped a Fist of Havoc. I've managed to narrowly escape it a couple times, but never stop it. And then there's that stupid lingering effect. I've turned corners into that shit before x.x Nova Bomb I've managed to stop, but only because I'd already removed their shield before the animation started.

Arc Blade and Golden Gun are good supers, but neither is OP, and both are far easier to escape death from than Fist of Havoc or Nova Bomb.

I'm in the hunters need a slight nerf camp. However this maybe because most of my matches have majority of hunters in them. So I'm always getting one shotted by them.

I've never been able to stop arc blade unless I'm at range and they are attacking someone else. If I'm semi close to them not only is the first guy they are attacking dead but so am I. Not saying it can't be stopped just that I haven't seen it so far.

The lingering effect on fist of havoc is a talent. So not everyone has it. Most titans I know go with death from above. Maybe I should give it another go. Lol

Oh lord. My play time is 2 days, 9 hours, 48 minutes. I may need to prepare for an intervention...

Mine is 2 days, 11 hours and 58 minutes. Just checked 15 minutes ago. Was not expecting it to be that high, lol.

On that note, Finally level 27 Warlock...Anyone need an extra for a Raid?

So a lot of this is already known but I have the official advertising for Expansions 1 The Dark Below. Here's the official breakdown.

20140921_131157_zpsde8445f0.jpg

- All new Hive storyline
- New competitive Crucible maps
- New Co Op activities
- Wealth of new weapons, ships, armors, and gear. Including new Rares and Exotics
- New Grimoire Cards and Dead Ghosts
- New story and co op areas
- Exclusive Playstation content.
- December release
Woot woot! That all sounds great.

I feel kind of dirty. My kid wanted to play but is generally not good with dual stick shooters. I set him up to farm the cave for me... Father of the year right here.

Golden gun, Titan's bubble, Warlock's sunsinger.

Ah ok. I knew both hunters were. I kind thought maybe the sunsinger. Didn't know about the bubble. Thought it would activate immediately.

It does activate immediately. Both Titan supers are immediately used in the spot activated— except, sort of, with the Death From Above skill selected Then, Titans can jump and dive a short distance before smashing. However, that prevents other, more useless (imo) skills from being in effect (like Aftermath).

No, replay..as in cut scenes and everything.
Just fired up the Reef for the first time and thought it was interesting.

You should get cutscenes for each mission.. In fact, I think it's pretty annoying you can't skip them because I'd like to go back and replay some missions. Probably can't rewatch the ones on the tower though.

I'm guessing this will include the Moon Raid, possibly dealing with Oryx.

I might be being unfair, but the expansions don't sound like what I'm used to as being expansions, but more like dlc with a bit more content put in them.

I'm using Blizzard's works as a comparison - specifically Brood War, Reaper of Souls, and WoW expansions.

Well I mean, if you're close to them, you would've died to a Fist of Havoc too. And semi-close, a Nova Bomb. So "If I'm remotely close to this super it kills me" is a weird argument for making it "OP" lol. But yeah, there are a lot of hunters around, one rumble match I played consisted of 4 hunters and just one titan and warlock lol.

That said, I've shut down more Arc Blade users than other supers, and have been shut down plenty. I've also had those extremely satisfying moments where I take down 3+ people, but hey I've had that with a shotgun before too lol. Titans and Warlocks get to have that feeling at a button press. Bladedancers sometimes do, but I assure you it doesn't always come that easy.

And yeah I know the lingering is an optional trait, but it's really effective at locking down a spot and insanely annoying =p

Edit: Also, nova bomb and fist of havoc can stop an arc blade in its tracks, the other way around isn't always gonna work well, especially with fist of havoc's super fast activation.

While you can compare WoW and Destiny in certain regards, Destiny does not have WoW's "scale," so, yeah...

Hammer Forged and Send It. Both increase range by the exact same amount.

Hammer Forged has a minor reload speed penalty, Send It has a magazine and inventory penalty, but slightly more range than Hammer Forged.

Definitely a case where the in-game descriptions aren't entirely clear on the effects :/

You could be right, but we don't know what all is included with the "new hive storyline".

True that.

I'm just hoping it's something as long as the main storyline...with a better told story. However, all that comes secondary to the necessary fixes the game needs.

Oh I think they are OP because they have skills like blink and invis on top of their super. Not their super alone.
