Relic Iron is the easiest one to farm for reputation since it has the best loop for patrol missions and chests. I have turned in ~800 and always keep another ~100 in inventory just in case I need to upgrade.

Heh. I had a Skirmish game where one guy dropped out after ~30 seconds, and the other just went AFK the whole game. Other team had the gall to start teabagging me, 'cause winning a 3 on 1 fight is such an achievement, right?
 
Do I take Thorn, bad juju, or invective bounty. I suck bad at PvP so I think thorn and invective are a no go but aren't pulse rifles bad?
 
I think I'm more excited for new Hunter cloaks than new weapons, lol. Hopefully the expansions have new cosmetic stuff.

I really like my pulse rifle in PvE. I got a bit lucky with the mods it rolled since it was a engram reward (so it didn't have the mods the one on the vendor does) but it is a total workhorse. That said I don't think I would replace it with Bad Juju either. I'm not sure what exotic weapons I even do want to use over legendaries.

Took thorn and I am having suuuuch a tough time with the PvP part. No good void damage weapon or skills so just ugh. After an hour I had 49 points out of 500. Eventually decided to shelve it for now. :'(

I got Bad Juju. With that one, you'll have to grind out 25 strikes.

I haven't leveled it up enough to have a big opinion on it, but it's interesting at the least so far.
 
Does this game give you Light in other ways outside of new armor? I swear my Light level has gone up and I haven't equipped any new gear..

Who says pulse rifles are bad? They're my favorite, personally.
 
my titan turned into iron man today. also getting exotic items from pvp when you do poorly is kinda dumb.

It's definitely way easier if you have a void fusion rifle. Thank god I had one.

My advice to everyone. Learn the exotic bounties ahead of time and be prepared for them. For example, I'm already storing away rare Fusion rifles so if I ever get Shattered Memory Fragment, I'll have them in my vault ready to go as soon as that portion of the bounty comes up.

I'm using the thorn now and for me the long reload time and the 6 mag size is brutal. While I haven't unlocked it for myself yet, i've been reading that the damage over time bonus is underwhelming as well. The DoT doesn't stack, and doesn't refresh on each hit. So to reapply you have to wait for the 5 seconds for it to fall off then hit them right after.

Because it's not tied to performance or any rewards anyone else gets. Unless you're looking for people to not get things they would have if their performance was bad, yuck.

It's so exhausting. All day I've been jumping around teams until finally tonight everyone was one with the strategy. Gotta hand it to Bungie, though. I didn't expect the raid to be this cool and intensive. It's very demanding strategically. On the other hand, it's sad the majority of player base won't experience it because of the high skill ceiling.

In other news, after nearly 60 some hours, I still never gotten a single exotic bounty. Honestly, they are probably glitched for me.

Truth be told, it keeps people motivated to play out the game. The rewards should be biased toward the performers, but the people that had bad games should also be eligible for something cool. It really does keep the quitters at bay.

Monte Carlo is good once you get the range upgrade. I'm actually one upgrade away from having it maxed out.

I've also heard great things about the Red Death, Last Word, and Hawkmoon.
 
Invective's about as good as a shotgun can be in a game like Destiny. It does good damage but is short range, nothing to write home about. Fucks wizards right up if you like getting in close like me.
 
You cant just say a weapon is bad and not say why, some weapons are better than others when comparing pve vs pvp. Also play style comes into it too.
 
Ah, I will have to keep my eyes peeled for those weapons then, are any of those available as exotic bounties?

Impact is practically non existent so the damage is extremely low. The recoil is also incredibly hard to control without slowing down the ridiculously high fire rate. Oh and it has hardly any ammo, only a clip of 15 which is gone in no time. I spent ages working on it too :/

Also, check the top line of loot, can someone really get 4 items as a reward?

Did you have to upgrade it a lot? I recently got mine and it's killing me in pvp.

The Ice Breaker exotic sniper is a beast. Its ammo regenerates and the enemies you kill explode. It also has an awesome scope.

The Bad Juju is one of the worst pulse rifles I've used. It feels like a peashooter.

it's fantastic. the only other primary exotic i'd use over it would be suros or hard light. the only non primary i'd use is icebreaker or plan c, but only if i had one of the void damage primary weapons.

agreed. i had a string of games at around 1.8-2.0 kda today then in 2 straight games i went .68 and .57 and got monte carlo in the second one. i felt like a dick for being rewarded for failing

They have a charge up time. In a fusion vs shotgun fight, the shotgun user can kill you before you can get a shot off. Fusion weapons though do seem to have better range which is a bonus
