I'm still super salty about my Raid rewards of only being a (cool) shader and some ascended energy. Some people got 3 rewards at once, including vehicle upgrades.

After 2 weeks I am Light Level 27 and have a Legendary Weapon. I only got the legendary Weapon in PvP. all of the other gear I bought from vendors and it was 100% farmable and I just did what was the most fun at the time (Strikes, Daily, Weekly, PvP, whatever).
I never farmed a stupid cave for even 10 minutes only to complain about bad drops.

I REALLY have no idea what people are about who claim the loot system is broken. It is random, yes, so what? You can get pretty much perfect gear after 2!!!! weeks of playing what is fun. No Cave-Farming needed.

I just need to farm now to upgrade all my Legendary stuff, but that is like mining in every other MMO and actually is kinda fun, just change the locations, throw in a public event here or there. After an hour take a break and do some PvP or Strikes (which give you rewards towards gear) etc.

A fact: In WoW Vanilla (counted from the day it launched) you got your first epic probably after 2 months of playing very very much, I didn't see people complain back in the days.

And about the "Bullet-Sponge" bosses. I don't know, if the boss just dies after a minute that wouldn't be much of a bossfight... The adds keep the fights interesting enough most of the time.

Yes, I like the game, so could you if you stop the cave-farming loot-hungry stuff and just enjoy what the game has to offer, you will get your Gear naturally.

Anyone still want to carry me lol, thanks for the tips

We did it last night.

Kill enemies until Phogoth breaks free, start killing him with the lazy technique from the upper room. After about 10-15 minutes, have two people jump down into the area and start looking for the special Wizard that you have to kill. Kill him, then kill Phogoth.

I just realized that instead of forcing myself to play Crucible to get my Crucible rank up to 2/3 so I can buy stuff with the 200 Crucible marks I have, I could just get my rep up with FWC or another faction to 2/3 way quicker doing bounties/patrol missions and buy my legendary gear that way. I am an idiot.

Also just got yet another Warlock legendary armor slot. I've only had three legendary engrams actually roll legendary (out of about 12-15) and two of the three rolled Warlock, and the last was a cape. The game really wants me to play a Warlock apparently.

Handguns are all awful in PVP. Except The Last Word.

There really are only four viable weapon types: auto rifles, shotguns, fusion rifles and heavy machine gun. Sniper rifle I guess in Bastion/First Light, maybe. Handguns, Scouts and Pulse are just lol.
I personally find that in 1v1 situations, hand cannon > auto. Requires pretty good aim, though. I still agree that those 4 weapons are ridiculously prevalent because bungie made them significantly easier to use than the rest of the weapons.

So I've pkayed over 20 hours of gameplay. Have a 1.11 KD in Crucible and am Level 21.

Still have zero Legendaries or Exotics........feels bad bro.

Lol. I didn't get my first legendaries until 40 hours played and only when I was stuck at level 24 for days. Technically they were exotics, the real legendary drops/decryptions only happened to me first time after 50 hours. Cry moar.

Visited the Cryptarch with 3 purple engrams, walked away with 2 legendary guns and one legendary armour.

great stats, whats your preferred gametype? loadout?

I use the exotic auto rifle 'Suros Regime' and the upgrades I've chosen on it are based on improving its range and accuracy.
The upgrades help maintain decent damage over long range - allowing me to kill players before they get close.

I use the Titan Defender class:
'Armor of Light': Whilst inside the the Ward of Dawn all allies have high damage resistance.
'Untouchable': Reduces cooldown on the Ward of Dawn.
'Unbreakable': Force Barrier continually charges.

Other passives are based on giving me maximum recovery. I play Control and Rumble evenly.

The heavy autoaim is probably what gives such an advantage to all those weapons, and why something that needs to be aimed properly like handguns and scouts suffer the most.

Oh and after seeing the Last Word in action, I'm really peeved that it's the only exotic weapon with unique animations. That's exactly what all exotics should have...

Never sell that shit. You'll need it for late-game gear.

This is wrong

So how much rep would you get for farming iron and spirit bloom ?

I want to say its 25 per turn in, not really a great source of rep. Even if you did say, ~500 in a week, that's 50 marks, 250 rep, not really a lot, turn-ins are a much better source of marks and xp than they are rep.

Doing the bounties, tough weeklies, and split farming patrols is the fastest method I know of raising rep.

Im aware of how to kill em' but my friends arent high enough level to do that fight

I just want tome help since I can't solo this fight and no random matchmaking for this mission

You actually get games without delays?

On a good day I will shoot someone and it will register a kill a half second later. I thought this was just how the game was designed.. :c

I've read it's bad, but people seem to be dealing with it. Mine is almost unplayable, I've tried to learn to worn around it but it's impossible. I used to play on a 150 ping with US friends, I learnt how to compensate for that fine. This is just too much.

Just now I hit a guy with a super. He killed me, ran round a corner, killed another player with his super, /then/ died. That one was a good 3 second delay.

Every single kill registers a full second after I make it. I usually get killed while the game catches up. :(

Are the people with good k/d ratios getting this every single game too? Every now and then I get a solid connect and it feels glorious.

Rocket Launcher is meh to me due to the low amount of ammo you get. I almost always go on 5+ kill streaks when I get ammo for my HMG.

My handcannon has explosive rounds, disorients the opponent, and 2 headshots and someone is down. Way better than auto in mid-long range. You just have to have skill to use handcannons.

I don't think people are complaining about the loot drops while cave farming. It's definite luck involved. I'm personally complaining because I think there is more than pure luck involved in drops during the crucible since I've only ever seen the worst players get the good stuff. That in my mind is worth complaining about.

Also rather than the randomness of the loot drops themselves, the part is complaint worthy is Rahool. A legendary engram which are already extremely rare and pretty hard to get should not give blues. It doesn't matter how you get them, but such a rare drop shouldn't produce such sucky results.

Personally I am a bit biased because I am slightly bitter that most of the people I play with always seem to get better stuff via 'luck' while I've had to play way more and buy my stuff.

Mother of God.......

I truly don't know the depths of hell like you do good sir. You are a staunch hearted warrior to stick it out.

If I dont get an Exotic or Legendary for another 20 hours.......I will cry. I really just want them so I can actually try out Raids. Bungie needs to release a level 20 Raid soon.

I can't relate to all the negative crucible comments. I have to say it's one of my favourite MP shooters ever. KDR kind of took a nosedive after I started focusing on getting bounties though. Sitting at 1.6 now. People be playing too many general audience battlecod games if they find crucible too difficult.

It comes down to range. If you're engaging an AR inside your motion tracker ring, you're probably too close for a HC, and you're absolutely too close for a scout or pulse.

At those distances, get out the fusion rifle to kill them, there's a sweet spot where you can murder any AR user.

You want to be at a distance where they miss enough headshots that you can reliably score the kill with only a single headshot, if you aren't, you're probably too close.

ARs rule in pvp for the same reasons shotguns are popular, there's a shitload of newbies who are overly aggressive and don't read the motion tracker, they're pretty easy to use, and ARs are the short range primary of choice.

I did the same. I followed a clear path and after 2 weeks I have 3 pieces of legendary armor and one exotic

Edit** my criticism with the game is how easily you get to level 24 and then hit a wall

Edit: Also, defender shield popping on you when you go to fire a rocket is a terrible feeling =p That definitely needs to be communicated haha.

I'm still baffled by the fact that you can't shoot out from inside the dome. It makes sense in PVP but in PVE that dome with one way bullet track would've been so helpful.

Anyone have any tips for sunsinger in pvp? Not sure which talents to take, I like the sticky grenade and the bolt grenade, I also like the aerial hover, but two grenades seems too strong to pass up.

I hated PvP at first as I felt it was a total spam fest but after playing for a while I love it.

It has its own systems / strategies that you have to learn or else you will get destroyed. I went in expecting Halo / COD style gameplay and its very different.

Resurrect? A few people have been saying its good for surprising people....

I don't think Crucible is difficult, but I would love if it stopped giving garbage laggy lobbies where everything is delayed even by 2-3 seconds at times. Nothing feels as good as getting killed by walking corpse after you put shotgun shell through his head.

Thanks lag!

Yeah, at the end of the day it just becomes a portable piece of cover -- nothing more. What's the point if you have to step outside to shoot guys (getting damaged in the process)?

I just turned in 50 Blooms for rep.

It gave me +31 rep, but I have "Radiant Light" buff from Nightfall strike and I think it affects that too. Without buff I would guess 10 to 15 / 50 material.

Thanks I also have the radiant light as well all I did was play the night. fall strike over but this seems much easier

I had the same, it sucked but it gets better, I've had 4 Exotics from Engrams in the past 24 hours :L

Speaking of Raids.. I just found out I missed one of the chests just near the start. I might hop into a group and find it in case an Exotic weapon is waiting for me.

I like rockets, particularly on control where guys tend to be clustered, but I agree on the other counts. I also don't have a great machine gun at this point and I have a rocket that will detonate early on proximity, so I generally just take the minimum 2 near-guaranteed kills out of the heavy ammo.

I have the lord high fixer (hand cannon) and I can kill auto rifle users if we are at long range, but in a medium range fight the auto rifle almost always wins out (if I miss any shots or don't fire first). I've largely stopped using it in favor of the Galahad / Vanquisher VIII auto rifles for all but the largest maps.
