It's extremely easy to complete 5 strikes without dying. Just do Summoning Pits on level 12, and.. don't die.

The next part is harder for me, which is to get a k/d spread of 25 in crucible. My k/d ratio is almost always < 0.5 and I'm literally always last place or second to last. People have suggested control, but I don't know, I don't see it happening. I think this one is going to be impossible for me.

Yup, same here. I got caught in one of those battles last night and it was really fun. Finished some bounties for me. Spending 15 minutes shooting into a hole is low on the list of the most ridiculous grinding I've done in a game.
 
Haha, just played a Rumble game where it was between me and this other guy for 1st place for the first 5 minutes.

I have the all-red God of War shader so it seemed like he was hunting me based on that -- so I switched mid-game to the Double Banshee all-blue shader to mess with him and everyone else. I bet people were confused.

You should just do story missions etc. Farming anything at your level would be a pure waste of time lol. You can't even get legendary engrams and I don't think you can get blue ones that low either. Wait until you're at least 18, but preferably 20+ and working on getting Light.
 
From my post I was actually implying there is, at least a little bit, some level of skill based matchmaking. And I have a little more insight into that...

I actually messaged one of them and said "Hey you beat the raid too! :P" and we actually partied up together.... So it turns out. He is from the UK. I am from America. Well no wonder there is fucking lag in PvP. It's matchmaking people across continents.

There were millions of people that bought the game. Surely you can find people in my own country for me to play against for connection reasons.

Keep doing story missions/bounties and crucible bounties. Loot cave at level 8 would be extremely pointless. Nothing that drops would be of any value to you for any considerable amount of time. Blues don't seem to drop until you're like 17/18, and at that level the drop rate increases for everything..

Do the story, do your bounties, level up to 20 and then hit up the loot cave if you feel the need.

It's not a K/D of 25. It's a K>D+25, meaning you need 25 more kills than overall deaths in the crucible.

I still need to do it.

You NEED arc/solar weapons or you stand literally zero chance. Those shield resist all other forms of damage.
 
So you need 3 legendary raid armour pieces and 1 exotic (or all 4 legendary raid) to get to 30?

That's really lame. Especially since the raid is tough and gear is not guaranteed. Fuck.
 
I just recently started going back and getting the chests. I'm getting some really crappy gear. I received a "rare" chest armor with <100 defense. Are they permanently leveled to when I first played through in story? Or are they going to increase as I find more?
 
Does anyone still have to do the Weekly Strike @ Level 28?

I still haven't done it, and I need to complete a Weekly Strike for my Invective exotic weapon bounty. Thanks!

You can get to the stealth section with a random party quite easily if you all know what to do, by then you have a boss reward and three loot chests to open.

I can now understand why there is no matchmaking for the valut of glass however there really should be a lobby system for people to make a room and wait for others to join who are interested.

But the quests have a perceptible story to them. Even if you don't read the flavor text when talking to quest givers (hell, the fact there is any text in the game that gives context to what you are doing already puts it a peg above Destiny in some aspects), there is an actual progression of sorts to what you are doing . A rise and fall in action where you can do unique things in the construct of the mechanics built into the game. It feels like you are doing something more than pressing square and fighting waves of enemies, which is almost exclusively what you do in the "story" missions in Destiny.

bladedancer, so hunter. They can go ham with lunge attacks while carrying good defense buffs doing so.

Titan has a one off area of effect super but then he's open for attack.

Warlock can nuke a spot but their jumps are slower and glide which makes them easy air targets.

It always makes me laugh to join in, then see five or six people running to the cave at once, grab the loot/ammo, and run back.

Although last night, there was no one there. Maybe it was just my internet being wonky though.

One of my favorite moments of the game was farming there, and then the huge wave/war cluster, which was fun as hell. I was running around shooting, and screaming "holy shit this is insane!" with a big smile on my face. Maybe I'm too easily entertained. :)
 
Have they said if they are going to fix the treasure cave? it's brought me back to the game and made it fun again for me.

Just annoyed the raid is basically required. Hoping to defeat Atheon tonight with the group I've been working on it with.

What is the highest level you can get to with 1 exotic and 3 normal legendaries?
 
Question about levelling: do you get stronger when you gain light levels? For instance, if I'm 24, and level to 25 by equipping new gear, am I now stronger than I was at 24? (discounting the increase in strength from switching to a new item).

I'm level 25, and there is so much I don't understand about this game.

29 I believe, just short of 30 until you get the raid gear which is legendary but with slightly higher def and light.

I have some titan legs from the vault and the def difference is about 35, light difference is I think 2 or 3 total.

Random. Just keep doing as many bounties as you can and you will get one. It seams that in the past few days there has been tons of people (including myself) that have gotten them.

As odd as it is, you'll do more damage to level 25 enemies now compared to when you were level 24.

Bungie need to make a spot at the tower with a sign above that reads LFG, and you just sit there and dance till you find people.

That explains why the netcode feels like shit. I can't believe with the number of people that purchased this game we are playing people across the pond.

The matchmaking is a total fail in destiny. I get so many delayed kills. I'm going back to titanfall for my multiplayer fix.
 
Man, this resource gathering reminds me of ME1. So tedious and stupid... I need the whole moon to upgrade the rest of my gear and spent all my ass shards to fully upgrade my exotic helm.
