I actually kind of like the Hand Cannon and Scout Rifle PvP bounties up right now since almost everyone is using those right now there. Slows the pace of the gunplay down a bit to what I feel is a much more balanced level than normal, and that's coming from someone who uses an AR.
Also thank God I got this exotic Scout Rifle last night from doing the Nightfall. I think it may have turned me around a bit on using Scout Rifles in general, it's pretty goddamn awesome and I don't even have most of the upgrades yet.

Your spread over as many games as it takes needs to be +25.
For instance, if you go 15-10 the first game, that's +5, the next game you go 12-5, that's now +12, and th next game you go 9-10, now you're down to +11.
You need to make a spread of +25.
Evening time around 6-630 EST. In all honesty, my addiction to this game is fucking up my schedule so much. I do nothing but think about Destiny, and if I don't play for one day I feel left behind.

I'm just sitting here, loading Queen's Wrath missions over and over until I can get the "kill the Kell" one and do a 2 birds with one stone kind of deal.

i don't agree, but that is alright. doing the summoning pits nightfall was some of the most fun I have had with destiny so far and that isn't one of my favorite strikes.
I'll probably just go for whatever I get and try to beat it :>

I believe Fate of All Fools does solar damage. Perhaps it is the only one.

Nah, my friends scout rifle is a Legendary with Fire damage. I don't think any exotic primaries have elemental damage.
Only one I know of.
This is sad, because it was good in the Beta even though the AR's were even better then too. I don't know why Bungie nerfed the Scout Rifles at all.

LOL, you may be onto something here.
Are you kidding me? Wow this blows. I got Vanguard to Rank 3 and folks can do these bounties to get the equivalent of the gear you can buy from the vendors? That's nuts. On the flip side, this is just a temporary event so folks will have to go back to the old grind (which itself needs reworking.)
Just got a Legendary Chest Armor from a Queen's Wrath mission.
I think I got really lucky there, the mission I got was the very first story mission. So basically: clear one single room of dudes, and mission done.
I still died 5 times or so. I'm a bit underleveled for these quests apparently

I hope I don't get the Queen's chest. It's my only exotic armour piece.
That was from beta; it no longer does Void damage in the live version.
...okay, maybe Bad Juju and Fate of All Fools are the only two.
Only one I know of.

I'm pretty certain that only raid legendary primary weapons come with elemental dmg these days ( which is fucking stupid imo )
Woah I didn't know that. I looked at Destiny database and it seems you're correct. I haven't seen that gun in game yet though. Is that a gun you can receive from an exotic bounty?

Guys for the nightfall do you think not jumping off the ledge to shoot the giant hydra would be a viable strategy? (One person would jump down to activate the hydra and then hide on top of that pillar. Preferably a defender Titan.)

There are indeed Exotics with Elemental damage. Fate of all Fools has dropped for some with Solar damage and as pictured above there's a Bad Juju with Void.
I think that it has to be a "dropped" Exotic in order to have a chance of being Elemental, similar to the way that dropped Legendaries/Exotics can also have mods that differ from the vendor/quest ones.

Everyone was posting about how they got helmets from the Queen, so excitedly I do the quest! Finally I can get rid of this ugly Vanguard Helmet on my Titan!
Upon completion, I get a Legendary Chest Piece even though I have the Crest of Alpha Lupi. T-thanks Destiny.

Luke said you're getting gear to help you on the Raid and I'd say Raids are where you need elemental damage the most.
The last boss of Vault of Glass drops legendary primary weapons with elemental damage. I got a auto rifle with void damage on it last week.
eeeh. generally speaking your primary slot is not necessarily the wisest use of your exotic weapon. it's cool that the raid legendaries have that benefit to them imo, just like the raid armor has extra light.
You can, the bounty is "An Unknown Patron"
the legendary weapons usually have 300 dmg after full upgrade.

over 50 hours in with 1 character, almost got my second subclass maxed. Tried the raid last night with my clan mates, only had 2 hours and we got to the maze. found all 3 chests and i wound up getting 2 legendary raid armor pieces, a legendary class item, and the MIDA Multi-tool. also like 2 ascendant shards and energies. so good, so god damn good.

question for trying to up my crucible game:
i didn't even know ADS was kind of a sub-genre until now. the only game of its type i put serious time into was CS pre-1.0 and now my instincts in firefights bring me back to the id style where i wanna use movement and environment to win firefights. that actively goes against me in ADS style games and destiny definitely provides aim benefits in ADS. circle strafe and jump tricks also get neutered on pad anyway. in games with scoping and 1-shots, it's always felt more like the first to spot or scope-aim reflexes that win out. is that accurate? am i approaching these wrong?

apparently the rewards are tilted way toward helms and chests so just keep doing them til you get one and break the rest down for ascendant shards. it's a good deal regardless

scout rifle and hand cannon pace is perfect for this game. it opens up the combat, and by extension the maps.

My legendary scout rifle is a real beast at medium range, in fact with focus class and the bigger of the scopes attached it can be a 4 shot sniper rifle on long maps, I really like it.
What I really want is an exotic secondary or heavy weapon.

It's in the game. No one can finish the bounty for it since it requires the Trials of Osiris, which is an event that hasn't happened yet. But the bounty version can very well differ from a dropped version.
