i blow any extra glimmer on ammo synth packs.Yeah, glimmer is pretty disappointing after level 20. I used it all the time pre-20 to upgrade my gear from the vendors, but after you hit 20 anyone who's still selling weapons for glimmer are selling low-level trash. What else can you even use glimmer for at 20:
- Low-level gear from vendors
- Ships / Sparrows / Cosmetic items
- Weapon/gear upgrades (these barely cost ANY glimmer)
- Cryptarch
Aside from cosmetic items or the occasional 90-250glimmer upgrade fee for a weapon/gear piece, I think there should be some sort of exchange system. After all, you can exchange 50 spinmetal for Crucible/Vanguard marks.
And don't even get me started on the Cryptarch...
It keeps a broad population playing the game because the people in this thread represent a minority of players. There are probably many, many people who aren't raid-ready and the event represents a path to progress.

Is it normal to get absolutely no mission end rewards for the Daily Strike? None of us got anything at the end of mission roll, just whatever drops we got during the strike (not many).

lol would rather have trash legendaries than no legendaries. dismantling them gives me "ass shards" to upgrade my gear and raise my level.

Is there a cap? I'm doing the same thing, but they won't really be wasted unless there's a cap. Eventually I'll switch to Vanguard rep leveling and all those marks will be waiting for me.

looks like the gear being sold by the queen's vendor is perfect for your brother's (shit- second guessing myself, you said it was your brother right??) predicament. It should get him partway to 24.

This is accurate. Glimmer consumables make the spot of your choice into a ridiculous glimmer farm. I'm pretty sure (need to test) that the glimmer consumables also award you more glimmer per kill for precision shots.

Screw this damn scout rifle head shot bounty. By the time I've landed the 6 or so shots needed I'm already dead from an auto rifle. This is gonna take forever.
Probably won't be on till 7:30 - 8:00 for me but I'll add you and check in.

I hate you all. Probably 10 hours total now at the loot cave and 1 purple helm.
If there is a cap, I don't know if anyone's reached it yet. You can earn 100 vanguard/crucible marks per week right? Since the game's been out since the 9th that's a total of 200 marks if anyone's got them. I'm sitting at 150-ish.

Whats the weekly nightfall and how hard is it?
New boring bounties followed up by hard mode story missions (Still soloable, just did Gate Lord one pretty quick), seems 100% legendary drop from Kill Orders (Got 3 helms ><)
Nightfall is The Nexus, cleared pretty quick and easy..abused the fight though.
No more like I wouldn't have tried so hard to get the legendaries
I think there just needs to be a balance.
The cool thing about glimmer-gaining items that not many people know is you get credit for other peoples kills, if they are near you. For example, you could consume a black wax idol and go AFK near some group of cave farmers for free glimmer (not that I recommend it!), but it's nice in group farms. You do have to be fairly close.

I just finished grinding hive on the moon for this stupid thing, and now it wants me to kill 500 guardians in PvP using only void damage?! I don't have any decent void weapons, I hate PvP and as if the conditions weren't harsh enough, death slows your progress.
Just played one round of Rumble and it's just not fun when you have to force yourself to play a certain style. Not to mention, 500 (?!) kills is just waaaay too much for just one weapon.
I think I'm gonna abandon this bounty.

If it makes you feel better, the general consensus is that Thorn(Gun the bounty rewards) sucks on all fronts.
Huh that's neat. I'm packing solar weapons. I'm guessing this week's is easier than doing the nightfall Summoning Pits (barring cheesing the Ogre at the end).

It's not 500 kills. It's 500 points. Kills count as 5 points and assists count as 2 points I believe (maybe just 1 idk but they count for something). This bounty isn't nearly as bad as the text on it says.
If you don't have any decent void weapons then yea this can be very tough... But if you can get a void fusion rifle it can be done pretty quickly.

Yeah, even with the 5 minute cool down between uses it's helpful to be able to restock heavy or secondary ammo. one thing that does annoy me is that the second I use one, the next enemy i kill drops ammo of that type :|
It's like GTA 5 with finally finding the car you want and then seeing 30 of them on the road. But at least in Destiny I can squeeze off a couple of rounds and know I have more ammo nearby.

yeah especially for heavy ammo this is a good thing though. the home of those rockets or machine gun rounds isn't in your inventory or your gun, it's in your target.

I think all require some pvp, not sure though. The thorn sucks and I vaulted it shortly after i got it.

I have 200 Vanguard marks just waiting for me to level the vendor. I've been plugging away like mad, but I'm still short of rank 2. The thing is, I'm actually pretty good with armor at this point, so it really won't be useful until I hit 3.
