Ok that's slightly better. But with my awful k/d, I won't ever get near to completing this.
should've chosen a different exotic. Or do all of them require some sort of PvP?
The hand cannon and Shotgun exotic bounties do, don't know about the others.
You're so going to LOVE the next stage of that hand cannon bounty, I completed it last night, and it was a DELIGHTFUL experience, of a shit load of patience and perseverance.

Excellent I just bought legendary gauntlets for Vanguard Marks, knowing my luck though when I get home I'll get more chest pieces for my lvl 18 hunter (who already has legendary gauntlets, boots and an exotic chest piece waiting, thanks RNGesus). Still I can't moan really.
I'm just glad they're offering more ways to get good gear quickly beyond grinding pvp/loot cave. I hope this is a sign that perhaps Bungie understand that their loot curve while ideal for their testers is less good for the other 95% of folks who aren't able to devote 3-4 hours a day. I just hope that this continues and maybe some more story content to boot (or any story, seriously I'd take audio log patrol missions at this stage)
Get one of her bounties from bounty bot. Complete the bounty and you'll get a token of sorts that allows you to do a mission from the orbit screen (it's above the weekly/daily stuff).

Thanks for that! I didn't know they had set paths. Next time I'm offered an exotic bounty (lol never) I'll check out that list.

If the Queen's missions are really there to get people geared enough to raid, then that's wonderful. I think it's good for people to see how the raid is drastically different from all the strikes. I've seen too many people jumping into the raid giving fuck-all about how difficult it may be, and not even opening the vault itself.
Call me a killjoy, but I enjoy the fact people think the Vault is easy and have no raiding experience, and then wipe continuously. Folks learn if raiding is for them or not, and after a few ten or twenty wipes, you begin to see who preseveres, who's adaptable, who's ignorant, and who has no business in a raid.

Having played it with a super def Ocean's 13 level squad with EricWK and Purg3 and the rest, I totally agree it's so much fun with people there to work. It's not and shouldn't be just a casual stroll.

I think you select "Queen's Wrath mission" or so from the left on the orbit map, then you get a guaranteed legendary as a reward. they sound tough though

We only wiped once, its just really damn tedious. With proper coordination and gear Nightfall shouldn't too hard, but a really god damn boring slog.
very, very few primary weapons have elemental damage at all. if it exists it'll be an exotic.

1 chest, 3 helmets. Broke them all down for shards. Almost hit 29.
I'm really disappointed this is what the Queens wrath is. I knew it would be bounties. But absolutely no new content in any form of game mode etc is disappointing. I thought we might actually be getting some missions in the reef. Or maybe a little more story exposition. Boy am I naive. Anyway you complete a bounty, get a queens mission, which is a modified mission you've already played countless times. It's stupidly easy (only lvl 24 option, no harder for better loot etc.) They always give legendaries that are equivalent to what the vendors give that people had to work at getting over time with farming/marks/rep. They should of been a step below what you can get for crucible or vanguard marks to make it easier. This is kind of just a slap in the face in multiple ways. Oh well, at least it will mean I can start doing the raid on heroic this week.
Nah I think there's one (legendary) from the raid with void. Luck of the draw though.

If you want you can just load it up and see if you get the Cosmodrome mission to kill Riksis (Restoration). If you don't you can go back to orbit and try again without using your ticket (I think these are only consumed upon mission completion when it gives you an item). That mission is easy to solo; it's always Arc Burn it seems, but there is only one room of dudes to fight and the boss Archon.
As far as I know, the only elemental primaries are legendaries from raid rewards. There are no exotic primaries with elemental damage.

Atheon drops legendary primaries with elemental damage. Two of my team have one. One has a void assault, the other solar.

Nah, my friends scout rifle is a Legendary with Fire damage. I don't think any exotic primaries have elemental damage.

Some rare gear post level 20 has light but legendary gear will be what really starts getting you to move up. Aside from the base light that armor pieces add, upgrading their defense will also add light.
Just don't go negative and you'll get it after a few games. It's cumulative so you don't need to go 25-0 in a match.
You don't need legendary gear to level up farther. "Light" is on some rare gear as well as exotics and legendaries. Find some gear with light and that's how you level up past 20. You can also upgrade any gear that has light and it will upgrade the stats and the light bonus on that piece of gear as well so you can level up farther without finding new gear entirely.
