I was just thinking the same thing. This sloppy bandaid of progression is just further highlighting the complete lack of a plan or focus here.

This is fucking comedic. A week of whining about the difficulty of getting legendaries, Bungie hands them out, whining about the ease of earning legendaries and requesting a higher tier to grind towards.
The definition of cannot win.
Also that Legendary gear that's 'only a few points better in stats' lets you get to level 30, which is the level of the hard raid, and if you've done any post 20 content, you know how much it sucks to be under leveled against pve mobs. It will also matter very slightly in iron banner, for those who want every advantage they can get, though its less of an issue there.
More critically, there are mods on the raid gear you cannot find elsewhere currently. I'm packing a Solar primary weapon. And it's Solar Burn week. And Epic week. Shanks, Wizards, Cabal, and every poor bastard in the Nightfall, Weekly, or Queen mission with Solar Burn active fear me.
tldr: Queen bounties own.
I hit a guy with the Titan Shoulderblock from behind right after he popped his blade dancer super. I then slugged him with a Storm Fist.
He was, of course, still alive when he turned and cut me to ribbons. At least his life was visibly damaged. Moral victory.
I got like 20+ blue engrams and a legendary engram while afk, working, and using the PS Vita to leech xp / "kills".
No regrets.

Soooo I've just been dismantling the Queen's legendary armour cos it's a bit poo. That's not silly, is it? Like, I won't need it for some special reason will I?
Those are the bounties. There is a quest associated with her on the left side of the map where the daily is and that other stuff.

its not from the bounties, you'll notice when you're in orbit and choosing destination, on the left the top choice, above the daily heroic mission etc you should have a queen's mission
I have and use that Scout Rifle. Almost fully upgraded. I didn't even use Scout rifles until it dropped, was always waiting for the legendary or exotic auto rifle. Now it's pretty much my go-to weapon. If you are accurate, it is deadly and will shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger, with an extended mag option to boot.
It's also extremely satisfying to use, much more so than an auto-rifle in my opinion.
I meant do you need to do all of the bounties to open the quest?

I've already picked up a stronger Shingen and topping up armour levels so next time they'll go down faster. The problem I could see with that method is that you don't have as much time in the second portal as you do the first. And one person is carrying the shield, so you've got one super with the shield so the other person has to be carrying a lot of heavy ammo, but it's definitely worth a shot.
Apparently you all don't actually ever jump down that giant hole, enemies will spawn up there and you kill them off, the boss still appears and you whittle it down, though you'll need a lot of ammo restock stuff.
I haven't actually tried it to see how well that works yet, though.
No, you can do the mission after each bounty. Basically, if you do 5 bounties, you can do 5 missions.
Every bounty of hers you finish gives you 1 ticket to do her special missions.
You fool! If you wear the full armor set you unlock 5 new story missions in the Reef that end with a new raid where you defeat the Darkness!
Man now you'll miss out on all that sweet content.
Nope, I'm packing full legendaries and a pile of exotics and the sum total of my engram legendaries is: 2.
They did, however, provide me with coins, motes, and ascendant materials, which I turned into exotics, more exotics, and leveled legendaries and exotics.
No, every bounty done will give you one access token.

Nah, it all stacks up so you can still do it multiple times.

You need all of it. You can hit 29 with regular legendary items and one Exotic.
After turning in a bounty, you get an item that's like an order or something. This lets you play the mission from the left of the orbit screen. It sends you on a random story mission with a few modifiers at level 24. At the end, it consumes your token and you receive a piece of legendary armor.
Its on the Galaxy map left hand sidebar top icon after doing a queen bounty.

Stuck at level 24, can't seem to grab a purple at all. It's frustrating not being able to attempt the raid. Which is easier to farm rep for-- Vanguard or Crucible? Both are currently at level 1 for me and I'd like to just purchase better gear at this point.
