SO BASICALLY YOU HAVE NO SPIRIT JESUS

I WANT IT NAO!

No, seriously, some shits just wouldn't drop, and when I managed to get a hand on it to make the new weapon plan, it's obsolete compare to my level thank to all the grinding.

Sega please bring this to NA!!!

Wtf is this?

TOTP: Check out Neptunia Rebirth 1 and get over your "Compile Heart Hate", people. It's pretty good. Also buy Frozen Synapse.

Man, I want to like games like Arcana Heart 3 Love Max!!!!!!!!!!!!! but I have a really hard time getting into fighting games. Though the reason is pretty obvious, it is because no one physically near me plays video games, and my internet here is too shitty for online competitive, so I have to play alone, and fighting games are lame solo. Plus, I have so many awesome free fighting games from PS+ like BlazBlue and Skullgirls (and some bad ones too like PSABR, that goddamn shitty scoring system) that it seems like a waste trying another fighting game.

I guess some genres are just not for me. Though I will still play the everloving fuck out of Smash for Wii U. Still can't enjoy the 3DS version though, hurts my hands.

I could totally understand that. I was able to have a local interest in Persona 4 Arena, and thus can play the game for awhile, but aside from that, no other people want to play game like "Under Night In-Birth" or Blazblue, and after several weeks of playing alone, I have to shelve those game because no opponent, and I hate playing online. Everyone here only play SFIV, man.

Probably not the ideal place to ask this, but I know it's a busy thread so hoping I get a response...

Any of you guys use grips for the DS4 analog sticks? My left one, on my day 1 DS4, is starting to peel and was hoping a grip would fix it.

Thanks!

I don't use a grip, but my DS4 stick started to peel from the controller I bought before the PS4 even came out, and I contacted sony support and they told me to send it back in. I paid $4 for shipping and they sent me a replacement within 5 days. Not a grip like you asked about, but it is likely your controller is still covered for a full replacement if you can live without one for a few days.

Yeah, I've heard that before, but I only have one controller and as sad as it may sound, I don't want to go a week without gaming.

Thanks, though.

Ahh, I understand. I honestly play more on my Vita than my PS4 because I enjoy indies more on a handheld and there aren't that many exclusives for PS4 right now I wanna play that I can't on another system, so it wasn't such a big deal for me. Can't comment personally, but I have seen both these stick grips and also these grips mentioned in other threads with high regard, so there are some options depending on which you think you would prefer. These sticks also are on amazon appearing to be a replacement to your original sticks if you are comfortable opening your controller, but the reviews are a bit mixed. A lot of people say they are perfect but a few say they don't feel like the originals so ymmv.

Velocity Ultra is not cross buy? PS3 version is on sale for cheap and I want it for my Vita, but it doesn't show as cross buy

They had a post on their website about why it wasn't cross-buy or cross-save, and I guess I understand. It was made by a different group of people, so they wouldn't make money on their port job if it was offered for free to people who already owned the other version. Honestly, I cannot recommend the PS3 version after playing both, because the addition of touch-teleport just makes certain levels so much better and I typically hate touch screen controls. But for under $2, if you don't intend to platinum the game it is still an amazing buy if you own a PS3.

Thanks, and yeah, I've been searching around and saw those grips mentioned a good bit with fairly decent reviews. The best buy near me has the first ones. I'm going to pick 'em up tomorrow and see how they work. Will report back here.

I guess I could send it in and just vita or remote play for a week! Hmmm...

Hey everyone,

I've been experiencing some pretty slow download speeds on PSN. It was estimating my 12gb Dragon's Dogma download at 135 minutes when wireless. I went ahead and hooked up the ethernet, but it's still at ~60 minutes for the whole download. When I switched to wired it said my connection's download speed was 30 MBps, is it just a case of PSN being slow or is it my internet?

Any help is appreciated

Not in the Weekly Deals section, but I saw a banner for this: Let's Fish! Hooked On for $5

Noooooooooooooooooooo... I have been waiting for this to go on sale and it comes right when I don't have any money to spend on a vidyagamez.
I actually liked iFishing (PSM game) and I'm a sucker for boring fishing games.
Any help is appreciated

I might be wrong but PSN downloads are capped at around 20MBps.

FIFA 11 Mk.4 on Vita has the lowest rating I've ever seen for a paid product on PSN. If you could submit a score of 0, I'm sure it would be there.

For those contemplating Moe Fishing, do remember that Natsume has a Vita fishing game on the way. IIRC they're usually receive okay reviews.

Approx 32MBit/s is the fastest I've ever downloaded anything from the PSN and I have a 75MBit connection - pretty sure it's capped.

12GB @ 32MBit/s should take 51 min, 12 sec if there's no flux - if you're getting anything close to that, you're maxed out.

Booted up GT6 yesterday, got a patching error. 3rd time downloading now. Kind of angry. Hope this "fix" I found works because I can't download 24gb again.

not totally sure if this is the right thread but:

i'm in the uk, have a uk ps+ account and while i've been buying digitally from the local psn for years, i have us/jp accounts with a few of the exclusives purchased and play them while logged into the uk account on my ps3, quick question since i've bought a ps4:

i've figured a lot of gaf are using u.s accounts to save money considering how ridiculous the prices are for digital ps4 games, so am i right in understanding it would be best to make an amazon u.s account to buy psn credit at no markup (do you need to add a bogus shipping address? presumably in a state with no sales tax?)

Yes. Just add an Oregon address to your Amazon address book and switch to it when buying.

Although I couldnt buy PSN cards directly from Amazon US because my billing address was fake, and if I used my UK address the PSN cards are marked as not for export.

So if your credit/debit card doesn't work, you can instead buy Amazon gift vouchers and send them to yourself as a gift. Redeem then to give you Amazon credit and then buy PSN vouchers. This gets around the address check and has worked well for me.

I just opened the PSN Store from my Vita for the first time in months...what happened to the PSOne Classics section? Some games show up in search but the category isn't there anymore.

Start the first one to know the basic gameplay, and the core story. Then you could just play the latest one on Vita, Disgaea 4.

Thinking about getting into Disgaea, but there are already 4 games out!

Should I start from the first one?

(PS Vita, btw)

Yes. It's up to you if you want to "complete" them, but playing the main (and other scenarios like Etna Chapter, Octaley Chapter, Raspberyl, etc) should be enough.

Disgaea's charm largely comes its characters.

Only one you should invest your time in should be the latest game.

The category option is gone, either by mistake or otherwise. You can still get there by swiping all the way to the right on the banners - there's an icon for it.

That did the trick, thanks!

Somehow I was expecting Metal Gear Solid to be there since it was on the list of PSOne classics for PS TV. Hopefully it shows up once the thing launches next month.

why Persona Arena is not on Vita? i cannot understand that.

New Japanese Action title from Spike Chunsoft now is called Ronin of Ukiyo i cannot post images as they are scans. sorry guys!. seems like a way-of-the-samuraiesque game by the looks.

for some reason I got the random urge to play through Castlevania:SotN. I never got too far in the game, and my only experience with it was the XBLA version. Just bought and downloading now.

Easily one of my top five games of all time. Enjoy it and make sure you play the whole game...don't want to spoil it though.

.....Hard to port :l? I honestly don't know (as the Blazeblue games come to Vita, with native res and 60FPS to boot), so.....guess Atlus doesn't see the point of a Vita version or something :(.

Shame too, as fighters are perfect for the system (dat D-Pad and OLED man XD!) but...what are you going to do :(. At least it is a solid fighters (from what I saw of it online) and the sequel seems to be even better :).

I still can't understand how people could play fighting game on portable systems.

One day.

I tend to button mash when playing fighters, so I guess that is why they feel good on Vita XD; have a hard time memorizing combos and what not :(.

I'm okay with Marvel 3 at least :), can make a few combos with some of the fighters.

I still can't understand how people could play fighting game on portable systems..

They are fine for me, then again I am kind of a button masher. I can do some moves but I don't need precision and only play in short bursts. D-Pad on the Vita works pretty well for me so far.

One day.

I play mostly fighters. I am not a button masher. The D-Pad is amazing and the buttons are snappy. It works great. Would I rather play on a stick? I suppose if I had the money, space, or time with my family around to take up the TV then maybe, but I have yet to find a move I can't pull off on the pad. That said, giving the games cross play with a bigger platform helps HUGE for online. Hopefully Skullgirls does it.
