it's the middle of the night for many and that's gonna take 1-2 days for most people to be able to get through, you're not gonna find 6 people ready to do it right now. Just go to a clan page or find people calmly.

what have you been doing? I just hit 26 yesterday and I'm level 2 in Vanguard, Crucible and very nearly New Monarchy, already bought 2 Legendaries and have 50+ Vanguard&Crucible marks left. Wouldn't say I've grinded for rep/marks either.
 
I remember you get a new Sparrow or something when getting all 5 golden chests on earth, but do you get anything for getting at five chests on all planets?
 
Shoot. Spent all this time getting Vanguard marks only to realize I need to be Vanguard level 3 to buy any weapons. Is there a vendor that you can buy legendary items from without rank 3?
 
Complete nightfall; 2 friends, 2 exotics (1 being the ice breaker, the only thing I want in the game).

lol still not one exotic weapon or exotic weapon bounty. 1 light from level 28.

Well you get something each golden chest (and its predetermined what it always is) and yes you get things for the 5th chest in each planet but nothing as nice as the sparrow from earth, just purple weapons (and not really good ones)
 
After using all my assassination tickets from the Queen today to break down the legendaries for the shards, I've realized how lame this whole thing was.

You don't even need to play the tickets random, as you can rotate out until you get the Earth mission. If it doesn't give you the Earth mission, just back out the quest and retry until it does (found out that it doesn't waste a ticket until you actually kill the target). Just bring an Arc special weapon for the shielded shanks, a good primary, and a rocket launcher for the end mission boss and that's like 10 minutes or less easy.

This is just ass boring as the rest of the grinding in the game, but I guess at least we're getting shards and energy to upgrade our legendaries and exotics that don't suck :/

nope. And the level of shit you get from the chest is fixed, so even armor/gear is underleveled. The best thing you get from any one is a strange coin from a chest in mars. Also not even a trophy.
 
Hit level 16, went Bladedancer.

The mission storming the ship on the ground is so great. Then the boss chamber is everything wrong with Destiny's encounter design locked in a small room, respawning enemies everywhere, including right on top of me. The spin from the quality of the mission to the awfulness of that fight is jarring. I turned it off without beating him (having gotten there without dying once, on Hard, solo). I really have a hard time coming back to the game after each run in with stuff like this. :\

It's definitely a loot driven game, but not in the same way a game like Diablo is, which is how many people had been playing it.
 
Yessss, managed to solo the Queen's Wrath mission. (i was lvl 24)
Initially I had Venus mission but I was getting killed left and right.

Tried again and got a Moon mission. Was able to eek by and beat the boss and get a helmet to raise my level.
 
Really cant complain tonight.

Got a legendary Helm, Chest, and Band for my Warlock. Also got a free rare ship out of a chest and only about 500 rep away from Vanguard 2.

Things are looking up ever since I told RNGesus to suck it.
 
I've turned in about 10 purple engrams today(For the record, I don't farm; most of them were from a cryptarch rank up). Most I have to say for it is a few motes of light and a bunch of plasteel.... Fuck the Cryptarch.
 
So I didn't get anything from the raid, but I just got another exotic bounty (chose the Fusion rifle one) and I opened a legendary engram and got the Ice Breaker Sniper Rifle. O_O

I have had that fusion rifle bounty for a week and a half and still only have only picked up 4 rifles to dismantle. Also I totally missed out when the gun vendor had rare ones for sale. Anyone have any tips for getting it done faster?

I currently have 7 rare fusion rifles. I've been saving them for once I actually got this bounty. Gotta find 3 more somehow though.
 
Man this raid final boss is a toughie. I'm on the team that stays outside the portals and this past time I accidentally was teleported inside and had no idea what to do lol

Well, I'm not speaking to the quality or frequency of the loot, lolol. Just that I've had to rely on it for progression. So when I mentioned to someone the other day how annoyed I was with its stinginess they told me it wasn't a "loot game!" Ok? Maybe it's not a very generous one but it still seems like loot is what's driving this train.

I mostly play crucible. Finished the campaign. Did each strike once. Do most of my bounties in the crucible as well. Joined Dead Orbit as soon as I hit 20 and I'm still sitting a little over a half a level away from level 2. Before today I was 24, so maybe without queens missions I would have bought a legendary before simply receiving one.
 
I can't stop playing this game. I have all classes above level 20 (my Titan is level 27) and it's still all I think about. Last game to hook me this much was WoW and that's kind of scary.
 
The Last Word is such a cool hand cannon. I love the animations for it.

Same problem I'm having lol. I haven't actually played any game this much since maybe FFXII or Counter Strike Source. These days most games I play on and off, at most I'll do a block run through over a weekend or something, but this game has consumed several hours of my life every day since it's release. Pretty impressive feat.

Side note, did all the Queen's missions and they gave me different versions of the same helmet and chest piece. Didn't mind though, as I just ended up dismantling them for Ascendant Shards, which in many ways are more important to me. Managed to max out my Exotic Chest Piece because of them.
 
So help me out here, dudes. You just keep repeating the Queen's Wrath mission and bounties over and over again for rep to get the vendor items? All there is is the one mission and various bounties, right?

Yep, so far. I assume new bounties and new missions tomorrow at 2am PST.
