Nope. Do it on butt easy and then when you turn in the bounty, you will get a mission in your inventory (bottom left side of the inventory screen).

You then go to orbit map and on the left above the daily/weekly quests, you'll see the new queen's business. For ever mission you have in your inventory, you can do her quest. It's a random quest to kill a story mob.

I breezed through all of them solo with my 27 Titan earlier.
 
Is it possible to get to level 29 with non-raid gear? With all legendaries and one exotic, fully upgraded? I just got to 28 with the Queen's help and still have 7 upgrades to go on my gear.

It would be easy to calculate if you could see which upgrades will add +1 light and which will add +2, but I don't see any way to determine that in the game. (Lack of useful information in this game? Shocking!)

Not as far as I'm aware ever. So just do it in 24 as that's the minimum for the missions. Remember that bounty is not mission, you first do bounty then choose queen playlist on the side of the map.

Not today. Helmet, chest, ship and sniper. Though the latter is extremely rare though so don't get your hopes up.

Wait, why multiple characters of the same class? I thought the raid drops were random. Or will you always get gear for your class?

My level 26 Titan just got abused by the boss on the moon variant of her mission. :(
 
Did the queen missions and got 3 chest pieces. All I need is a helmet.

funny because the warlock helm is a joke. It's the base model of one of the variations of 1-20, only with a queen's symbol in the forehead and its base color is purple. Such a joke lol
 
Funny shit, jumped with my titan and a hunter trying to kill ourselves with the shotguns. We missed but we both are at fist range midair and so we do it.

My mighty titan sends the hunter halfway across the map to get crushed in a wall and die lol

Sucks that video capture is messed in destiny to me though.

Someone shot a rocket launcher at me, I blinked straight passed it, and shotgunned him. Just like that.


He was so mad.

Finally hit lvl 24 and have marks to purchase some new gear - but still about 400 rep to go. Man they make you put in time.

I had the oddest sensation while patrolling Mars. The sky suddenly became very dark, but there wasn't any event or context for it. No enemies were spawning and I hadn't seen another guardian for at least 10 minutes. It's weird but I felt really alone. Another guardian came along and we started following each other around. I eventually had to return to orbit, there just wasn't any enemies.
 
For the Nexus, you want to have 3 guys stand on top of the boss area before entering. A bladedancer needs to lure the Minotaur away and break his head. The bladedancer then needs to turn invisible and walk away. The Minotaur will shoot the last spot he seen you at and you'll be safe. The two other party members can shoot from the top spot in safety.
 
Running some story missions on level 28 makes me wonder why there even are Strikes in the game. The story missions are designed exactly like a Strike; a couple of passages with low-levels, one or two section with waves and one last boss fight with waves. I did yesterdays daily and it honestly felt like a Strike, especially since the last area is only reachable in that particular mission. The boss even dropped the same banner/consumable crap.

lol no

don't even try. I'm level 27 doing half damage and even my 28 buddy was getting killed just as fast. There's two ways to cheese it but both require you to do enough damage since if your whole party dies, and no respawns btw, you go to orbit.

We cheesed through it and beat it, but if we had a legitimate fight it would have sucked.

I did it on the moon, their are two guarding that Hive tunnel area just across from where you start patrols. Kill them both, come out and kill the Fallen that spawnn round the area, head back to the door and the two Majors should have spawned again. Did that 5 times, too about 10-15 mins in total.
 
So the challenges that appear to the left on the navigator each day. I understand that the story mission gives ascendant items on higher levels and the weekly heroic and Nightfall strike are unique challenges. But what about the PvP challenge with a predetermined game mode? Do you get anything special for that challenge?

And is there some bonus for completing all of them at once?
 
PSA: Please select the heavy weapon with the right damage type for the mission ahead. My vanilla(not upgraded at all) level 18 fusion rifle took out minotaurs in one shot, shield and all, on a Queen's Wrath mission and my teammate never got the hint. 211 damage, but it happens to be void damage.

Not the end of the world, but it would have saved us a number of retries. Anyway, two missions down and two different kinds of legendary gear. If things keep going this way I'll have the full set, which is just fine by me. Better than fine actually, with my luck I expected 6 of the same item by the end of this.
 
I think I found my more favorite weapon in comparison to the hand cannon, which is the scout rifle. That 1 shot at a time mechanic with a faster rate of fire and more stability just makes it my number 1 choice for now.

Until I get an awesome working legendary hand cannon but thus far the drops have been going in favour of the scout rifle and shotgun drops.

Sure. The damage might be less counting each shot but I have an higher DPS which makes the loss seem insignificant.
