Yeah, I have exotic gloves fully upgraded and everything else up to the last column of upgrades but with nothing actually in the last column, so I'm just below level 28. I'm just afraid that after we finish this raid I'll get some kind of raid equip for the slots I just spend my shards on and it'll be kind of a waste.
I think I'm mostly just wondering if going from 27 to 28 will help me out a lot in the final boss of the raid, which is all we have left to do. Cause if it'll help a ton then I'll just bite the bullet and upgrade that stuff anyways.
Holy shit, the difference between level 27 and 28 is massive.
Earlier today, level 27:Heroic Daily at level 28, was constantly on the defensive and being pushed back by enemies. Never even made it half way.
Just now, level 28:Heroic Daily at level 28, was constantly on the offensive, enemies couldn't keep up with me, tore through them with ease. Completed mission in 10 minutes.
I cannot wait to see what I'll be capable of at level 29 and 30.

Hungering Blade essentially triggers the "been out of combat" regen each time Arc Blade gets a kill. I grant you it's quite nasty, but the options you forego to equip it are also very tough to go without.

I think the jump from 27-28 is big. Anyways, you can always do Queen's Missions and dismantle the legendaries you get from there to get more shards, I'd fully upgrade the boots if it's possible (if it gets you to 28).

Raid complete! Congrats and thanks to the gaffers who helped. It was a pity it was such a short run tonight but at least we got him. Got my hands on a pretty handy rifle along the way too.
Pity I suck with scout rifles but elemental damage on a primary weapon isn't something to be complaining about, looking forward to getting a lot of use out of this in missions with modifiers.
I want this weapon.

You know, at first when I got level 28 I was really burnt out. But new I realized level 28 is perhaps the best part of the game. Forget ridiculous bounty requirements telling me what to do and how to do it, forget leveling up factions and vanguard, forget dealing with the cryptarch. I'm not going to level up much further until I get raid gear, so I can just chill and replay missions I want to play on difficulties I want to pay them on, play whichever mode of crucible I want how I want (except Salvage, the best mode. Needs to be permanent). Help friends out, and then try the raid whenever I get a group together.
Only thing stopping me now is leveling up the queen just for the shaders. Lucky they only require level 1.

The boots are what I put shards into as well, since there are no exotic boots (yet).
And once I find some Raid gear boots I'll swap it out, but until then I think the boots are the safest and most efficient Legendary piece to upgrade in order to at least get to 28, which is the minimum to complete everything at this point.

I had hope that was just a strange occurrence. Nope. Happened again about 25 minutes later. Once the hive came out, we got the whole "enemies are banding against you" message.

Words cannot describe the jealousy I have for those who have legendary/exotic weapons. I WANT ONE SO BAD

I'd argue that taking out one of the only things loot-centric players are enjoying in your game isn't exactly a "fix."

Thanks to the Queen, I now have a 28 Hunter, 24 Titan, and 22 Warlock.
And plenty more shards to come from each.

i don't know. maybe she'll get some more (doubt it)
but those weapons are actually pretty far beyond what most rares offer. the base stats and perks for each are really, really good

Sometimes I run into players in PVP with flames around them and they're almost impossible to kill. What's going on?

Lvl 20, got my first legendary from a blue engram! It's a warlock armband...but still neat.

Raid is do-able with a group that is below 28 for sure. Dont fret too hard guys. I was personally 26 when I started it and got to 27 by we were in the final part. We had 3 27s, 2 25s and 1 26.
For this weekly if you want to try exploiting the boss you can just wait up top and take out the minatours(you absolutely need void snipers for this part and some rockets/golden gun) would be helpful. Then the bos will spawn and you can start fighting the boss.
A minatour will repeatedly spawn behind you so have two people in the back ready to lure it backwards and kill it repeatedly while one guy pummels boss from up top. Dont worry too much about running out of ammo though cause ull get some if u run out after like 20 seconds.
If you have trouble at beginning with the fallen then stay by the entrance and slowly take out everyone. You will need arc fusion rifle/snipers for this part too. Once you got everyone and all 3 servitors killed only come out. Now invis units will come they are easy to kill but they can kill u in a swipe so keep your distance. The rest of the mission is fairly easy to manage.

It seems that way. Its stopped spawning completely for me 2x now and others in this thread are saying the same thing.
I called it after they patched glimmer farming. It was only a matter of time
The higher the level too, the more you want to be careful with upgrading stuff you have, since there's now the addition of the Queen's armour pieces and the Raid gear and it's getting easy to find stuff that replaces your gear.
This is exactly where I'm at in the game barring the queen stuff because I get good legendary mats from it.

Wow, you lucky bastard. I still need to do the raid at least one more time to complete the set.
Well, after my first attempt, I swapped out my New Monarchy gauntlets for gauntlets I got in the Raid, then I unlocked every upgrade and fully maxed them out. I also swapped my Legendary auto rifle for the Legendary pulse rifle I got as a reward for finishing the Nightfall yesterday, then I tried my luck with the Heroic Daily again. The difference was staggering.
The Sunbro (Sunsinger) Warlock subclass' Super is called Radiance and one of the abilities, as well as having faster recharge on melee and grenades, is damage reduction. There's also a melee upgrade that allows for an overshield when hitting enemies with a Scorch melee.
