I'm fed up with the RNG in this game. I've come across easily 20 legendary engrams to which only 1 of them actually turned out to be a legendary (boots) and that was the second one I ever picked up. Every single one has been a rare and not even ass materials.

After 15 duds, I gave in due to desperation and farmed and picked up 5 more to which all became blue. I guess my only way to get legendaries and exotics is to grind my reps and do public events so I can buy my gear instead of relying on RNG which for me is an acronym for Rarely New Gear.

Anyone else willing to drop level to change gear? Yesterday I decided to switch my hood and robe to the Queen's Guards versions, dropping from 26 to 25 since I had already upgraded my previous gear a bit. The only part I find annoying about this is having to farm helium filaments or relic iron to get up to snuff again.
 
I got a Suros Regime for completing Nightfall last night and man, the hype don't lie, this thing is awesome. And I haven't even started to upgrade it yet.

Nightfall was fun as hell too, definitely worth the time we put into it considering the rewards you're guaranteed to get.

That or The Last Word are my most wanted. Hand cannons and scout rifles are my favorite primaries. But I still don't even have a legendary of either type! Only a legendary pulse rifle, Fair and Square, which is admittedly pretty good.

handcannon bounties are awesome because it stops people using AR's all the fucking time!
I also main handcannon and mop the floor with them

It was alright. But it's a blue helmet and yesterday I got the purple Queen helmet after getting 5 times the Robe.
 
Just got dropped during the 30 second cooldown on the daily mission.

What the fuck Bungie.

Kicked me to orbit.

No rewards.

Counts as finishing the mission >_<

On an unrelated note, destinylfg.net is the real deal. I put together a fireteam for queens bounty last night fairly easily, and there's an in browser chat function that allows you to talk to people on the site to verify them joining before flooding your friends list which I like.
 
There needs to be an option to remap the dpad emotes to consumables instead.

Because why would I use point or wave or sit. Honestly. Why.

Thanks everyone! I was on Earth at the time I posted and a few minutes later one of those weird events happened where fallen and hive kept spawning and hell broke loose. Apparently, during the onslaught I managed to kill 10 majors so bounty is already completed :D

According a someone on Reddit you need to shoot. He spent an hour I believe afk and when he got back only had a couple of green and possibly one blue.

Soon as he started shooting they started dropping.

Nice! My appreciation for sniper rifles in this game has been increasing. That and fusion rifles. I used to love shotguns, but I barely use them anymore.

RNG hates me, 4 blue engrams I got yesterday while doing Queen's Wrath missions turned to 4 green turds! I got 4 Queen's Guard Hoods before getting the Robes twice in a row!

And I just saw some photos of the Heart of the Praxic Fire... That would look so good on my Warlock... Think Xur will ever sell it?
 
You actually get the Queen's Wrath sniper rifle in addition to a piece of legendary armor, how generous. Looking at the post above me, mine rolled Solar damage instead of Arc.
 
I am officially hooked like in the glorious days of vanilla wow, the better part: i shoot things instead of waiting for cooldowns ... and i mostly run only strikes ... Good job Bungie

You can afk, in fact it's pretty much the only time the loot cave is the best use of your time. Remember to rubberband your controller if you are going for more than 15(?) minutes or you'll be kicked for idling.

I want to find another queens sniper rifle as i'm not keen on the given perks on my model, finding more ammo and ammo return on missed shot are not for me.

This is pretty stupid. They need to increase the Mark rewards on Strikes.

"Public events always award Vanguard Marks - 4 for Gold, 3 for Silver, 2 for Bronze."

So 4 for Gold which is pretty easy and takes 2-3 minutes to complete while a Strike on Hard takes a good 20-30 depending on the team and boss only awards 6 Marks.

No wonder I got so many Marks really quickly last week, it was all the events I did on Earth.

So much this.

In PVE they just eat through bosses health in no time at all and are a guaranteed one shot kill in PVP (headshot).

I used to hate using them but they're definitely starting to grow on me.

It just means you got no reward anyway.

I always leave the mission before the 30s cooldown, skipping the reward screen. If there was a reward, it appears on the screen anyway.
